Me and my wife was looking to purchase a queen size bed for my home. When the owner Steve approach us he was kind so I did not think nothing of it so I thought. He sold us the bed that I have recieve a lease to own financing through the furniture place. He delivered the same day but when he delivered the bed it was the floor item. We called him about it and he insisted that the bed was new. The 2 pieces that he sold they were mismatched. The box spring was a floor sample and the bed it was used. We intially went there to purchase a new bed. The cost of the bed was $ 850.00 that was the box spring and the bed. Steve the owner came to my house to check out this bed that he say that was brand new. But he knew what he sold us. He supposedly took pictures of the bed cause he say that being the bed was under warranty that they can replace the bed. But wait a minute how can the warranty apply to this bed when the bed had a tag that it was made in 2016.
The box spring also was the floor sample is what the bed said. This purchase was made in June 2017.
So Steve the owner said that my bed would be replaced by the following Wedensday. So I called him Tuesday to find out when this bed will be sent out so we can get our new bed being that he was shady from the first transaction. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Not only that he told me can I give him a good review on social media websites, yea right after he screwed me over on the first purchase. Steve told me that I can call the finance company to get the transaction voided being that he voided the contract. I called the financing company they told me that the furniture place is the only place that can cancel the contract. So I said fine they decide to call the furniture company themsleves to get the confirmation of canceling the contract. But Steve the furniture owner told the financing company that there was no issues with the bed and the bed was a new purchase item.
The finance company called me and stated to me that the furniture company Steve told them that he had send me the new bed and that I was trying to get out the contract. I was not trying to get out of any contract I was trying to get a new bed being that my old bed was shot and I was not getting any sleep.Me and my wife went to the store and confronted the owner and wanted to know that why he told the finance company that he sold us a new bed when he knew he sold us a used bed. He threw the invoice at my wife and told my wife to shut up. Then he told me to get the f* out of the store he does not want me there. I told him he was a liar due to the fact that he knew he sold me a used bed at a new bed price. He started to tell me to f* myself then stated to me that I had purchased a rebuilt, refurbished used bed and thats what I was sleeping on and that I was not getting my money back. But one thing also my wife has asked the other workers has he done this to other customers. They all indicated that he does this practice to all his customers because he thought that minorities are stupid and they don't know there rights. I will sue him in court and I'm now having him investigated for this type of practice. Please to all in Waterbury Connecticut residents do not shop at this location. Its located right off 84 heading towards the mall you can't miss it on the right going toward Hartford Connecticut direction.This guy is a liar,liar,liar don't waste your time at this place better off to go to rent a center at least you can get new merchandise.
