Scam

Placed order, received confirmation, never received the good, not one answer to an email, total scam, paid via Paypal, surely Paypal has to look into companies like this,

After placing an order with no response i informed them i was going to contest the charge. They immediately sent one pair of shorts. I was foolish and ordered 3.

Then they immediately stated that since i received goods that my dispute is void. Still no word on the several rma requests of shipment of the remaining order.

The short i received was super cheap, about the thickness of toilet paper and sucked up water like a sponge!

Stay away!

Same as the others who got scammed. Didn't receive anything, was told it was on the way, then nothing. Was too late to contest the charge unfortunately, into the black hole fund it goes...

I purchased a pair of their nanotechnology shorts from their webiste for my husband for Christmas. First of all, they took months to receive, no exaggeration. Once I received them, they had sent the wrong pair - the pair they sent, were actually a less expensive pair of shorts. AND, the snap did not work. After several attempts to contact customer service, I gave up. They were unresponsive. I just threw them away today. Good bye $58. Buyer beware - do not purchase from this company!

Hello,

Beware of this company!! I ordered several swimsuits back on June 16th. Despite numerous emails and messenger requests, I have not received the merchandise and have not been reimbursed the amount paid $247 plus a $1.97 currency transaction fee. I bought the items only because Frank Anthony Swimwear was featured on the Today show and tried to bring this inexplicable and inexcusable delay to the Today show’s attention. Indeed, given the poor reviews Frank Anthony has received, I don't know why the Today show would feature their products, knowing that millions rely on their advice.

Buyer beware!

I ordered 2 pairs of shorts from Frank Anthony and I was pleased with them. I ordered another pair on 15th August but I'm still waiting for them to arrive over a month later. I've sent several emails to ask about the order, but I haven't had a reply. I've also sent a couple of emails asking about the exact sizing of their new Tshirts but I've had no response. They don't publish a phone number or a street address so email is the only way to contact them.

Got the add through facebook, really well made, looks legit, even have a tv segment with a news anchor promoting it.

Ordered 1 short, never received it, 2 emails not answered. I said good bye to my $$$... :(

This company continues to send numerous solicitations for new orders after they charged me immediately for an order they never shipped.

In addition, they have never responded to multiple inquires via their online contact form. This is the only way to contact them as they don't publish a phone number or email.

Still a SCAM

Despite what Frank Anthony will personally tell you in an email, this is STILL a SCAM! Read all the hate comments on Kickstarter. THOUSANDS of investors screwed, and 6 years later, customers also getting screwed. If you ordered, call your bank, you might get your money back. I did. If you haven't ordered, don't. You will probably NEVER see your shorts. He quickly answers ALL questions about his product or company on Facebook or even personally answers emails using his contact form, but he will NEVER answer if you inquire about a delayed order or when your order will arrive (other than to lie it is on it's way with no tracking number). If you ask him anything on Facebook about a missing order he will block you. If you use the same contact form on his web site asking anything about where your order is, he will ignore you. The ONLY reply I got to numerous inquiries was a link that took me back to my order page. No tracking info whatsoever, because he never mails out his orders. It has been almost 3 months since I ordered, and not a peep. My bank did refund my money, but not sure if it actually comes from a reversed charge to his scam company or not.

I have purchased swimwear on 2nd of february worth $14. To this day i have not received any refund requested or swimsuit. I find it ridiculous that the web site is still running and more and more people keep ordering these items that do not exist and are never gonna be shipped, but their credit cards are still charged.

Exact same thing everyone else has reported. Wish i read all this before ordering. They ignore emails, had to dispute it through my credit card. Never received any swimwear.

Never received product. Contested charge with credit card company.

Can I give zero stars?

I ordered on May 10th, my credit card was charged on May 11th. After checking online and realizing this company’s reputation I set a reminder to contest the charge when 15 days had passed from the order. So here it is, May 28th, received no product and their responses to email have been oblique delay tactics. I was very clear — if they couldn’t provide demonstrable proof of trackable shipping of the proper items, I would contest the charge.

So I contested the charge today, the first business day after 15 days had passed. I get my $90 back. I sure hope Visa and Facebook challenge this merchant’s ability to do business on the web.

Still at it

I got ripped off by this scheme in 2014/2015 and reported it to bbb and rip off report, apparently the scheme is still going strong. keep emailing the turd and eventually someone will write back

In June 2017 I saw frank Athony swimsuits on the today show TV 10. They raved about the suit so I ordered one and they took $55 from my credit card. July I e-mailed them and they never responded. I thought since The Today show vouched for them there just must be a mistake, so I spent another $55 on my August 2017 order. I didn't receive any swimsuits so in Sept 2017 I reached out to them and to the Today show. Now Oct 2017 and no one has responded to me and I have no swimsuit. they ripped me off for $110.

I ordered a pair of shorts on line from Frank Anthony. The payment was taken from my credit card but no shorts arrived!

I waited a while because as I am a UK resident and Frank Anthony are based in Canada I assumed there would be a longer ship time.

They never arrived. The only way to contact them is via their customer servive email address. I have written to them three times with no reply.

Rip off merchants. Do not go near them.

After viewing a segment on the Today show about the Best Fathers Day Gifts. I men's swim shorts were bill as the fastest drying and recommened. I ordered them a black pair for my husband within 5 minutes of the story airing on June 15thjust after 9am. I immediately received the confirmation and the funds were removed from my account. On July 5th I received the following reply for a message that I sent....... from FRANK ATHONY Just so you know, all of our orders we're pushed back from 48 hour delivery processing to 5 days since our feature on the Today show. After looking into the status of your order we know it was shipped we just lack the information necessary to provide you with location updates. Just do know that your order was dispatched and should be arriving shortly! Sorry, we don't have your tracking information. It is due to the amount of orders we received following our feature on the Today show! Then I received this.... Your order is on the way Your order is on the way to you. Track your shipment to see the delivery status. The website indicates that the order is still getting ready to ship. I send emails on July 21st July 27th July 30th August 2nd Have not received a reply.

Frank Anthony Short

They have a great sales pitch, but fail to deliver on their promises.

Purchased shorts from Frank Anthony and after 3 months of promises that they are on the way, they have never showed up. They had a new excuse every time I enquired about the where abouts of my shorts, even going as far as sending me a tracking number which was for a different consumer. They are unbelievable con artists. Please do not order any procuct from them as they will just take your money and not sent your order.

After giving up on any hopes of recieving my order, I checked out the internet to see if other people had experienced the same problem, there were many complaints, he has ripped off countless people.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE HIS PRODUCTS, HE WILL RIP YOU OFF.

I ordered swim shorts on May 26th. It's now July 5th, and I haven't received the product or a refund. The Frank Anthony website does not offer a phone number, so I emailed repeated inquiries and received slow, inadequate responses. They tried to excuse the lateness due to increased orders after being highlighted on the Today show, but at the same time said the order should have gone out within 5 days. When I asked for a refund, I got no response at all. When they finally emailed to say the order has shipped, they said they had no way to track it. I found their customer service to be uninformed and unhelpful, and I will definitely never order another product from Frank Anthony.

PO placed and confirmed on Aug 18, 2016. Never delivered. After 3 emails, Customer Service wrote me on Nov 1, 2016:

"Hello Mr. Mussini,I am terribly sorry that it took so long for us to get into contact with you. At the moment our internal system is down but it will be operating normally by the end of the day today. I will personally look into your order and determine what happened to make it not arrive despite the time it has been since you've placed the order.

I promise to you I will make you a happy customer in any way possible. I will contact you immediately when our systems resume.

I purchased a bathing suit. After wearing it once, a seem ripped out. I emailed the company and they responded that they would replace the bathing suit with two suits of my choice after I send the suit back to them.

I returned the bathing suit and paid for shipping (from the USA to Canada). I was expensive to send back. I emailed them that I sent the suit back. I have tracking and know the suit was delivered back to them.

They never responded or sent a replacement suit (let alone two they said they would give me).

I have sent them several emails with no response at all.

I ordered two men's swimsuits on 11/4/16. My payment of $80 was processed immediately. On 11/13, I emailed customer service asking for shipping status, and heard nothing back.

On 11/20, I received an automated email stating my order was on the way, but upon clicking the tracking information, there is nothing about the order.

Today, on 12/18/16, I again emailed and messaged every available method I had, from replying to my payment emails to clicking through on their website to their "customer service", and again, nothing. Not a single reply from anyone related to that company.

My last message stated that the next contact they have will be a certified letter from my attorney demanding payment or my items. I hope it doesn't come to that.

I wish I had stumbled upon this website before I placed my order. But little did I know.

I have placed my order through regular website of this company. I was immediately notified of the receipt of the order. So far so good. In few days, I have received a follow-up mail stating that my order was shipped. Yey! Bear in mind that this was early 6-10 of August.

I have never received the items. I asked them via mail. I just got a reply whether my address was correct. Couple of months later (we are in the end of October now) I have resend another mail. This time, conveniently, no reply none whatsoever.

Learnings: Do not buy from a company with gmail account. Do not buy from a company with no phone information or address.

I ordered the wrong size and model of shorts from Frank Anthony Swimwear. I realized just after I entered my credit card information to complete the purchase. I contacted them immediately to let them know (within 5 minutes). It took days for them to get back to me, but they said that they had updated the order and the correct item would ship. Within a day, I received a shipping notification of the original wrong item. I emailed them to let them know. I received no reply, but wrongly assumed that maybe their system was incorrect, and still had the original shorts and size on file when they emailed me.

The wrong shorts were received weeks later. I notified them immediately. Again, it took days to respond. They told me that I didn't need to send the shorts back, as I had offered, and that they would send me a new pair. The new pair was never received, and presumably never sent. They provided a tracking number for the first pair of shorts, but couldn't provide one for the second. They claimed that the type of shipping that I selected didn't provide tracking. This made no sense, since they gave me a tracking number the first time. I sent follow up emails that they did not respond to. At this stage, I ordered the shorts months ago and have not received the correct order.

I had a variety of people with different names responding to my inquiries. Sandy, Sally, and some other responses that did not indicate a name. When there are multiple people handling a problem, I imagine that it would be hard for them to maintain any continuity in dealing with the problem. As I spoke to various people along the way, they seemed to be missing critical details of the problem, despite all of the information being in the previous emails in the email thread. It seemed clear to me that they hadn't taken the time to read the prior emails.

Additionally, I don't think that the product is any good, which I can tell from the incorrect style and size that I was sent. When they told me that I didn't need to return the incorrect pair of shorts, to be sent the correct one, I was excited to test out the material and performed some tests. I dunked the shorts in water. The outer fabric did absorb some water - much more than I had expected. More importantly than this though, it should be noted that the bathing suit is lined with a highly absorbent mesh material that IS NOT hydrophobic. So, if the outside of your bathing suit only gets 50% wet, you will still have to dry out the inside, which is 100% wet. This is probably the most undesirable place to have residual wetness in a bathing suit. On the whole, I find these to be slightly less absorbent than any regular bathing suit, but not enough to make the claims that they make on their website.

If you look at their website, there is no street address or phone number provided. This is a lesson learned for me. I will never do business again with anyone that hides their phone number and street address, without going through a "middle man" entity like ebay or Amazon, through which there is some recourse.

Please note that there are a variety of other complaints against this company, listed under a variation of the name. Fro example, one guy used "Frank Anthony" instead of "Frank Anthony Swimwear".
