Five Points Car Wash Reviews

  • May 7, 2019

On or about Monday, April 29th, 2019 I took my car (2014, BMW, X!)to the 5 Points car wash also doing business as Everwash at 133 Delsea Dr , Sewell, NJ. I was standing there watching the technician dry the vehicle. She held the rear view mirror as she dried the glass. She applied to much pressure and pulled the rear view mirror from the windshield.

Initially, I advised the man behind the counter of what had happened. He said it was going to come off anyway, he had not been anywhere near the car and noted it was common for rearview mirrors to just fall off? I have had many cars, never has a rearview mirror just fallen off. As a matter of fact, I have a 30 year old car and the rearview mirror has not fallen off.

Maybe they just fall off at this car wash. I requested the manager, John. After some discussion with the employees, he asked if I would wait for his guys to get the proper adhesive to repair the damage. I waited about two (2) hours for the employees to get the adhesive , make the repair and allow the adhesive to dry. John also suggested I not touch the mirror to assure it would properly set. I did not drive the car for several days and did not touch the rearview mirror at all.

On May 6th, the mirror fell off again; the adhesive did not work. I returned to the car wash and advised John. He requested I take the vehicle to the BMW dealership to have the repair done properly. I believe John contacted the owner or had already spoken to owner. I requested John tape the mirror to the wind shield to prevent more damage.

On May 7th, 2019, I took the vehicle to Turnersville BMW and was given an estimate of $1,180.30. The BMW dealership advised me they would need to replace the windshield in order to guarantee the ‘workman ship’. The rear view mirror has to be properly housed with the wind shield. I called and advised the manager, John. He said that was too much, he wanted me to take it to “ANTHONY” to have the work done? I advised him that “ANTHONY” was not acceptable and I needed to talk to the owner. He said the owner was busy and would call me back.
