FastSpring Reviews

We went to the trouble of watching all the FastSpring videos on how to set up the eCommerce storefront. Spent a lot of time putting in the products with descriptions, pricing, icons and so on. Eventually got the code snippet to work in our web site to show the storefront (you can also show the cart and purchase page as a pop-up). Test mode worked well. Then it came the time to switch over to live. Apparently the folks at FS control that aspect (not like PayPal). So when they decided to look at the web page, they said, "No can do.

Our risk team considers it a problem due to a licensing issue. Good luck in your future endeavours." When asked what the issue is, the young inexperienced Americans who run the show decided it is easier to keep quiet in the hope that we will disappear Huh? Why? I am the one who made the software and we are not giving licensing rights to FS to sell it. They are suppose to cater for people selling software, and that everyone, not a select few. All we want is a payment processing service from them that is clean and simple for the buyer. And if there is a licensing issue with the credit card service providers, then how is this related to us? Seriously, what is the problem?

FS is run by a bunch of rich young brats in silicon valley with poor customer service where even the slightest problem is enough for them to run away and hide. They only want easy money to be made from merchants that they deem is risk-free, whatever that means.

Or is FS working with Apple nearby and can choose which merchants can sell software on the Mac platform -- that is software that is on the Mac App Store?

Otherwise, it is a pity their customer service is atrocious.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A SOFTWARE SUPPORT TO ELIMINATE FRADULENT AND SCAM VIRUSES AND BUGS. I GOT HOOKED INTO A SCAM ITSELF WHERE THEY KEPT TRYING TO SELL ME LAYER AFTER LAYER OF CRAP. THEY WOULD SAY 'WELL, WHAT YOU BOUGHT WILL ONLY PROTECT YOU FROM BLAH BLAH BLAH, NOT FROM VIRUSES OR BLAH BLAH.

I AM 76 AND THEY KNEW THEY HAD A NON COMPUTER LITERATE SUCKER ON THE LINE AND JUST KEPT SELLING. AFTER WORKING WITH MY BANKS FOR MONTHS, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET RID OF EVERYTHING EXCEPT THIS RECURRING MONTHLY $4.99 CHARGE. I DON'T WANT WHATEVER IT IS THAT I'M SUPPOSE TO BE RECEIVING.

MY BANK REFUNDS THE AMOUNT AFTER MUCH RED TAPE EACH MONTH. IT SEEMS THAT THE COMPANY KEEPS SELLING ME TO SOMEONE ELSE, AND A LETTER OR TWO WILL CHANGE IN THE NEW BILLING COMPANYS CHARGE, AND IT SLIPS RIGHT THROUGH MY BANKS SCREEN, AND THE MONTHLY CHARGE KEEPS COMING.

THE PHONE NUMBER ON THE LINE IN MY VISA BILL THIS MONTH IS 877-3278914 CA, THE DATE IS 07/04, THE NAME IS "FS *PTSUPPORT". PLEASE HELP ME GET RID OF THESE CROOKS. !!!!!

On May 14, 2018, was contacted buy "Sam" ( an India accented voice) from Premium Technical Support (PTS, a seperate fraud complaint) by telephone. Was told they had determined my computer had been hacked. Russians had pertraited the firewall. I was extremely concerned because of the news of the credit bureau breach.

I trusted PTS bcause I thiought I had purchased anti virus software from them. The software purchase was actually from simularly named Premium Techie Support.

I was told that PTS could close the firewall breach and supply new antivirus software for $ 700. I was to get new anti virys sofeware, ad blocker software and anti spyware software plus a $ 495 refund for the orginal anti virus software. I agreed to the offfer.

I was told that for security reasons the payment had to be made with Google Play cards. I foolishly Bought $ 700 in Google Play cards and gave the numbers to "Sam". Was informed the card numbers were "invalid" and that I needed to get $ 700 in additional cards.

I lefted the house again for more cards. I had a change of mind. Returned home . Called Google Play Cards, was told the cards had been cashed.

Called "Sam" and told him that according to Google the cards had been cashed by PTS through Fastspring. "Sam' was taken back by this informatiom. He admitted the cards were cashed. He then said that the additional $ 700 was needed to establish a refund account. I refused to buy more gift cards. PTS ashed for my cheching account number. Refused. My debit card number. Refused. Offered a credit card number. PTS refused.

No software. No $ 495 refund.

Our conversation ended with PTS declaring thar I was a M... F... A** Hole.

I later found in records that my Premium Techie Support software purchase was paid via Fastspring. Internet contact of Premium Technical Suppirt; Premium Tech Suppot; and Premium Techie Support is not possible via Fastspring

Off the internet, I ordered a make at home kit to build a device to save 80% on my electic bill. They said it would fit in your pocket and said 100% refund. The item when built is 20 cm. in diameter and they didn't mention you needed an induction cook top to run the device.

About the refund, they have no refund phone number or no way of contacting Fastspring!! All numbers I called are recorded messages or the people are unavailable.
