Heartbroken Shelly had sold me a kitten, I thought she was beautiful until I had her a few days and she started going bald. My veterinarian said it was stress induced ringworm fungus and My precious kitten would have to be quarantined for over 30 days. She had small lesions under her fur that I thought was her playing with her littermates but my vet confirmed ringworms, 3 baths a week for a month and my poor kitten had to receive minimal physical interaction which made her very unsocial very quickly it was so sad I cried almost daily. Shelly ignored my phone calls blocked me on social media has not responded to any of my emails.
I was just asking for a partial refund or help with medical bills. She openly admitted that she had internationally bought some cats from another country who had visible lesions and she was not able to clear them or cover those up so she did something to get rid of these poor cats :( and maybe that was the partial cause of my Kitten being so sick... BUT then I stared asking around and met Other clients of Shellys online who have had horrific experiences, some even fatal so I guess ultimately I got pretty lucky considering my kitten is treatable, one kitten of hers tested positive for PKD after it has sadly passed away and two others from HCM that died between the age of two and three years old.
Shelly is a BACKYARD BREEDER . I could not believe all of the complaints she has had and hides them so well. Pretends to be knowledgeable but is a scammer. She told one of her kitten parents that she had spent 3 years becoming a veterinarian but had to leave school because of a family situation. We found out those were more of her ridiculous Narcissistic and sociopathic lies just to trap people into her web, she told other clients more ridiculous stories as well. Run away from her as fast as you can or you too may sadly end up another one of her victims. Shelly claims to love her cats so much but her kittens are in a basement room that she calls a cattery tuckes away with very little attention just enough to make you believe she cares. Poor cats.
As for my sweet kitten she's doing better. Persians are often well known carriers of the ringworm fungus and show no symptoms often times, so that is a concern that even when I have her clear any stress could bring it back to the surface and again my family can be infected again as well . My children are still sad I do not understand why they cannot cuddle her but I am trying to spend as much time with her being cautious not to get more lesions on myself. She is doing well considering. STOP this heartbreaking backyard breeding scam that leaves more and more sick kittens to suffer.
