My son Jake Pileggi received a bill from Express Toll for $508.00. He is a college student at CSU and has no money. I am a single mom struggling to get by so I am not able to help.
I called Express Toll three times and spoke with three different people. They were unwilling to help me at all. I was told his original toll was $112.00 which was the only time he used the toll road. I offered to pay the original toll but not all of the other fees totalling $508.00. This happened to me about three years ago. I received a bill for aproximately $400.00 and was appauled since I rarely if ever use the toll road. I called and at least the gentelman I spoke with was willing to come to an agreement for about $100.00. He then explained to me that Colorado is now imposting interstate tolls to help build car pool lanes and road work, etc. I was shocked. How is it that CDOT, Express Toll and the State of Colorado can allow this??? I am also aware that there is agroup of attorneys involved who send threatening letters. Express Toll is also threatening that if this not paid, he will not be able to register his car next year and the fees will continue to accrue. This needs to be addressed! I would be happy to be part of a class action law suit with others who have gone through this.
In the meantime, I need some help settling this debt for my son. I will pay the original toll and that's it. That is what he owes them!!!!!
Has anyone had troubles with colorado's e-470 public highway authority and expresstoll? I received another late notice in the mail for about a $18.20 toll i am positive that was paid in the first place. I went online to check that my payment cleared before the due date and my bill jumped to $36.40. I thought maybe i owed more for some reason, so i payed the $36.40. The payment cleared, and showed i owed $72.80? Huh. Out of curiosity, i paid the $72.80. Bad idea. "payment received. Thanks." now my bill is $145.60!? Every time i pay, my bill doubles. Also note, i have never been on this highway more than once or twice with this particular vehicle since it broke down in the mountains, and i've been on autopay. Almost positive "glitches" don't happen in 2018 and of course the operators are clueless. Am i getting bent over or is there more to this? Apparently there's a few dozen yscam made about e470.

I could never get on thier web site. Everytime I would have to call them and they would have to fix something on thier end. So I ask for a bill to be sent to me and they said it would be a $2.00 charge every time even though I am having problem getting on line. So I just canceled them, they said that they would send me a check for $6.40. But the next time I got anything for them was a bill, because my son took my car on the toll. I said that was fine but I still could not go on line to see the bill. So he told me what it was and let me know that they for got to charge me 1 toll back in Aug and it is Oct. Then he informed me that they charged me as a 4 axle not a 2 axle. So now I wonder how many other times that I did not check the bill if they over charged me or they seen that I was cancleing them and so all of a sudden they found another charge. They also wanted to charge some late fees. I did not want to give them a card over the phone but I did, I hope they don't all of a sudden find some more bill. I'll probabley be getting another bill saying they found another mistake and charge me againe Surprise Surprise. Put the cashier back so we know that the tolls are correct. You don't evern know where the tolls start or stop
Received a letter(pink) from Express toll Marked Your immediate attention is required. It stated that " Your vehicle has been recorded for non-paymen of proper toll."
Date of toll transaction on license plate toll statement was 02/03/2017 9:31:52 AM. Unpaid balance is $39.80 with Civil penalty assessment is $25.00 for a total of $64.80. They have a IL Plate # included but it is not for my vehicle. I haven't been to Denver in about 15 years.
I just received a License Plate Toll Statement listing charges and a Past Due charge for using a Toll Road (E-470) that I did not know even existed. I took a road that connects I-25 to I-70 outside of Denver Colorado that did not know was a toll road until I just got the bill for. According to the statement, I was on this road for just over 15 minutes so around 15 miles. Three toll plazas for $10.65 each so about $2.13/mile. They say that 2 other bills were sent before adding a past due charge.
There were no other statements sent to my address. I drive on toll roads all the time in Oklahoma and Kansas and pay the tolls in cash with no problem. A toll road across oklahoma cost some $18.00 pulling a 5th wheel trailer. The amount of the toll for E-470 is a rip-off by itself. Then to be charged a late charge on their word that other statements were sent for a toll road that never had a toll booth to pay at is just state sponsored robbery. Avoid Colorado highways when possible. If you do drive through, get ready to bend over when they stick it to you.
LicensePlateToll charged me an access fee for a toll road I have never used. Since the charge was minimal, to avoid any hassle I paid it. A couple of weeks later, I got another bill from them stating that the payment was made late and charging me a late fee of $5. For an initial toll charge of $1.45. I went online this time and made the payment of $5. Today, I got another bill for $1.45.......for the SAME pretend access to the toll road.
I HAVE NEVER USED THE TOLL ROAD......WHY DO THEY KEEP CHARGING ME????
