Experian Information Solutions, Inc. Reviews

I have a free membership with Experian. They emailed me stating that my credit reports and current FICO scores were ready. When I clicked on it, the credit reports were advertised as free. When I agreed, I agreed and clicked it stated my card would be charged 0.00! Had it of stated $24.99 I never would have clicked and agreed! Now days later I see an unauthorized charge for $24.99 on my bank statement! The worst part is that I cannot find a phone number to call Experian on any of the emails from them! Not sure if the email address that the email came from accepts incoming email either! I feel that I was scammed by Experian! I want my $24.99 refunded ASAP!

  • Oct 17, 2022

I had a score of 731 for a couple years or so. I was proud and excited! The commercials for experian boost made me think I could raise it even further! They lied. As soon as I joined through the app, my credit score started dropping. It continued dropping with every notification! Before long, about six months, I lost 100 points on my credit score!! Finally I found a way to cancel the free membership, and my score has maintained a steady 630 since! Whatever they are doing, it didn & #39;t help me!

  • Sep 25, 2022

I received an email alert from Experian CreditWorks notifying me that they have dropped my FICO score 41 points! The link they provided to find out the cause led me to a section on their website promoting me to pay them $24.99 each month to "upgrade" my account with them.

This is extortion! They lower your credit score. Doubtless if you upgrade to monthly paid monitoring they will magically boost it! I'm NOT paying them so much as a dime for such an obvious fraud! I checked my FICO score with a different source and found it has risen! I didn't have to submit to paying that other source for that information or FICO score upgrade.

These credit bureaus are squeezing us with their fraudulent system! This came across like a mobster's protection racket! "If you pay us protection we'll lay off you. If you don't we'll use our system to squeeze you by lowering your credit rating."

Good luck getting anywhere and doing anything worthwhile in this nation with a poor credit score. I have a very good credit rating. This company is setting out to ruin it and me for greed and profit!

Experian has a commercial on television that says go to http://experian.com/boost , to boost your credit

score! Don't believe this scam/fraud, they get all your personal info and give it to your creditors to harass you!

Also, they ask for your bank account user name and password! Who in their right mind would give this info out

to anyone!!?? Beware of this web site and the advertisements you see on television!!

After a year and a half of dealing with Dennis Muracco who defrauded me, wiretapped, admitted to doing it on this site, extortion, threatened me with a hand gun four times.

He stole the information from Block Advisors, was my tax preparer and my tax attorney. With six banks working on the fraud, with one another plus Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, Nothing was being done.

I had a gut feeling pressure was coming from above. I investigated it, released it and exposed them as frauds, not having anything to do with banks. I hit them hard. They have been working with Dennis Muracco. I got a rep to say that a fico score means nothing. It is just a bunch of numbers.

I also read that they had extended the top end to 900 completely discrediting all three reporting agency's. I wrote my report taken from employees and others. I wanted my million dollar policy's. I used common sense, found my policy on their website. I wrote one post on reddit and got banned for life. They actually think these frauds are working for them.

There is so much more. They are merely three same person family owned companies who shouldn't have my data. I published the whole fraud on ScumReport.com and less than an hour later, they sent me an email that i didn't pay and they canceled my account. TrueIdentity. Barred me from accessing it. Threatened me to not try it. Threatened to open all files and unlocked my report for everyone to get at.

All three are like mugshot. I am overwhelmed that I didn't see it before. They don't have anything to do with the fiduciary banking system, they were merely given carte Blanche to everyone's files and made up the non word fico. It criminal because of Equifax loss of all our data.

They have all sorts of names I uncovered. I have been data losses 57 times. They play this game with all of us. They use banks names that go to one of the your credit report has changed. i did threaten them that if I see one byte of data or anyone accessing my files, all of theirs would be toast. It want I was trained for. Folks, they gave away a credit rise for free last week.

They have no credibility at all. They have no authority to acces my data and I'm telling all six I found. Burn my data, all of it. You are committing a criminal act just as Dennis Muracco did. Remember, one byte and all of your companies one year from today. inform the banks that you have shut operations. Do not let anyone acces my locked file. This country is in bad shape without frauds like you. You are finished.

There seems to be a problem with my Experian credit report, and I can't access it.

According to a company I was trying to establish credit with, there is a problem with my social security number associated with Experian. I can't get through to Experian on the phone because their system requires a social security number. When I enter my social security number I get sent through the phone tree a few times, and then it hangs up on me. This is literally a "Catch 22" problem with no possible solution. Experian doesn't list an email address, they only list a snail mail address in Texas. THESE PEOPLE REPORT CREDIT RATINGS!!! This is so bad it would almost be funny if it wasn't so serious!

Why do we let irresponsible companies dictate what happens to our lives??? I think it's time to end consumer credit. The world worked just fine before the advent of 24% - 34% interest on money you don't have. Maybe home prices would come down if people couldn't get huge mortgages on credit? END THE CENTRAL BANKING SYSTEM! Lets go back to the Gold standard and end the nonsense.

Experian Do not sign up for their 7 day trial period of $1.00. I did it and tried to cancel it 3 times before they billed me the $24.99. They have a no refund policy too, so they got me for that. They said it's canceled moving forward, but we will see. Their customer service was rude and not bending. Save yourself the trouble and use any other service to check your credit.

The rep on the phone asked for a confirmation number from the email, but the email didn't give me one. Do not sign up for their 7 day trial period of $1.00. I did it and tried to cancel it 3 times before they billed me the $24.99. They have a no refund policy too, so they got me for that.

  • Jun 8, 2018

Signed up for their $1 trial for 7 days, on the 7th day I tried to find their 800 number on line, because my credit card denied the charge and I wanted to go ahead and canceled. Unfortunately I could not find the number and could not get on the website to find a number because they kept requesting an updated credit card number. I decided I would try later, got busy and forgot. Fast forward 16 days later they pushed through a charge and over drew my bank account. Bank can’t do anything until Experian refunds my money and Experian will not refund my money.

  • Apr 19, 2018

I tried to cancel my Experian /Triple Alert membership but I was put on hold for 45 minutes on the phone. I couldn't get to anyone to cancel my membership. I tried calling twice. I had to cancel my credit card that they had on file so that Experian couldn't charge me again. Experian has TERRIBLE customer service. Try not to use Experian's services if you can avoid it.

Esperian is reporting T Mobile and Macy's as delinquent accounts when in reality they are paid off and settled as a result of dispute, which I won!!!!

  • Jan 15, 2018

Dealing with Experian Inc since 2016 to demand its removal of an inaccurate record from its credit report of a Bankruptcy which was dismissed and never executed in 2012 showing $0.00. Without substantitated evidence, Experian refused to delete a fake BK from my credit report that constitutes fraud. Experian has grossly violated FCRA §1681s-2.

Further, Experian placed a "Security Alert" to my credit report without my consent causing more harm to my credits.

Moreover, Experian also refused to provide a FREE Annual Credit Report, which was requested since 2016 to this date. The fake BK and "Security Alert" in my credit report have caused me great harm to get a loan, or to apply for credit cards. I believe Experian takes advantage of senior consumers like me who is powerless, and have no money to hire an attorney to prosecute the unethical, immoral, and unconsionable operations of Experian.

Logged on for basic services. Non-premium service. They ended up charging my credit card $24.95 anyway.

I cancelled my premium membership online today, 11/26/17 but am now payed up through december 25th. I didn't want the premium service in the first place. But am still being charged the $24.95 for this month anyway.

No way to refund that money to me. Highly pissed off at experian.

Thanks,

Keith roberts

I had a nonpayment on a dr.s bill and the bill did not come out until after the Dr. had passed away and his wife started sending bills for services that were not provided.

The credit reporting agency 'Experian' has continually taken funds from my debit/credit card without my consent. In total they have taken $$101.91 from me, as stated, without my consent, authorization or approval. This has occured over a 6 month period. I have repeatedly tried to contact them at all hours of the day to no avail. They do not answer the phone and I have waited on hold for 2-3 hours. Frankly I am at a loss as to how to recover my monies. As stated, I have tried to give them a chance to rectify their error but have reached a dead end. This total amount of money may not be much to some individuals, however my income consistes of SS Disability income and does stand between my food budget and my ability to pay for my housing. From the deepest recesses of my being I ask you for your assistance to right this wrong.

Experian Plc Ruined My Credit For Nothing!

Back in the year of 2016, I suffered from some Very Serious Illegal Credit Card Fraud that was done over the Internet with my American Express Credit Card without My Signature for over $30,000.

00 on Men's Skin Care Products that Were Never, Ever Sent To Me, Nor Received Without A Signature and On Top Of That, I Was Out Of The Country When This Happened.

To make the Long Story Short, when I returned back to Los Angeles, I did File A Police Report and went through Legal Aid To Assist Me With This Vicious Fraud Case and they Did!

Sadly, American Express Refused to Remove The Illegal Fraud From Their Credit Files and they Illegally Reported The Fraud For Imaginary Merchandise That Was Never, Ever Sent To Me On To My Credit Report.

Another Thing Which You Will Find Alarming: American Express Never Lost Any Money Because When I Filed A Fraud Claim With American Express Back In The Year Of 2016, They Immediately Did Not Pay This Fake Merchant A Penny and American Express Is Still Illegally Trying To Hold ME Responsible For This Money Which Again Is 100% Fraud!

I have Tried Aggressively, Legitimately And Honestly to Get The Negative Credit Reporting Removed from My Experian Plc Credit Report and Up To This Date, I have had No Luck!

I just recently Filed A Small Claims Lawsuit Against Them for the Fraud and Illegal/False Credit Reporting On My Credit Report and I am Subpoening The Police Officer Who Took The Report To Court along with somebody from Legal Aid as well to Testify For Me On My Behalf As A Witness!

I just recently filed a small claims lawsuit against them for the fraud and illegal/false credit reporting on my credit report and i am subpoening the police officer who took the report to court along with somebody from legal aid as well to testify for me on my behalf as a witness!

Enclosed, below please find the url link for the full, detailed story on what had happened to me with this fraud case which has been permanently published on from the year of 2016 for your review and further reference.

In addition: enclosed, in the attachments, please also find a copy of the police report along with (10) pages of legal documentation proving my innocence that was sent out to all three (3) credit reporting agencies from legal aid for your review and further reference.

I am now hoping for a prayer of relief from the three (3) credit bureauS) where they finally decide to remove the negative credit reporting from my credit report and declare me 100% innocent!

Amen.

Thank you.

Using the supposedly free annualcreditreport.com website I followed the instructions, selecting all three reporting companies.

First it took me to Experian, which advised me to be sure to read, save and/or print the report because I could not access it again [for 12 months]. No problem.

Next it put me on an Adobe Download page which I was not allowed to skip (pdf access is already on this computer at the library, and no downloads are permitted.)

By denying the download, I was dismissed from seeing, printing, or saving my report, and advised that I could come back to annualcreditreport.com in a year. It erroneously stated that I had completed all my requests.

This is supposed to be a consumer benefit required by the government. Apparently there are loopholes. The services maybe feel you are entitled to get what you pay for. Plus aggravation as a bonus of course.

Experian refuses to delete unverified and erroneous account on my credit report. I have sent several letters in the past asking for proof by providing me with documentation and information how they verified it . Instead they sent me BOGUS letters saying they verified the information as... being accurate. No documentation was provided to me in accordance with the FCRA Section 609 stating that the CRA's credit agency must provide the consumer with documentation or they must delete. They say they verified this bankruptcy filings with the clerk of the court but the clerk of the court does not verify that information with 3rd party. So they are lying and continuing to report these inaccuracy on my credit file which is against the federal law. Credit report company ‘verified’ the account by repeating same erroneous information. .”

I’m requesting description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the item in question. This should include the name, title, phone number, and address of the person you spoke or corresponded with to verify. Remember, show how you verified. Matching name, SS# ,address, account number.

Experian failed to conduct thorough investigation into the problem which raises questions about the veracity of their claims. The investigations are inadequate to correct many types of errors. In most cases, it is clear that the employees in charge of the reinvestigation fail to uphold even the minimum standards of investigation to verify account.

Problems can also occur when CRAs do not follow their own procedures to resolve errors.

This example helps to demonstrate how minimal steps taken by CRAs do not properly address or even clarify the underlying dispute. In many cases, CRAs are accepting the word of the furnisher, even when they don’t have evidence to back up their case. This is true even for disputes from furnishers who are to improve the error dispute process, furnishers should not be allowed to dismiss a dispute as “frivolous” if the consumer submits new information that is relevant to the complaint. Furnishers should require to delete disputed information from a credit report if it cannot provide documentation to back it up.

According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act credit report file must be 100% accurate. If it is not accurate or unverifiable then two things must happen-the file must be corrected to show its true or it must be deleted.

My Wife was scammed into calling for a free credit report only to give a credit card to be monitored and that was charged $14.95 every month for almost 10 years. Noone in the home had internet logon capability to even review such information. This is serious elder abuse. Noone should believe they need to pay for this information. The FICO score was even free with a checking account we owned so there was no need for this recurring bill.

  • May 27, 2017

I ran my Experian Credi Report on 3/17/17 - cost $39.95. Then on 3/27/17, I was charged $21.95 & 4/27/17, I was charged $21.95. For what they claim is a Credit Monotiring Service, which I NEVER signed up for! They say they automatically sign you up and you have 7 days to cancel? THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! I ran my report with Trans Union and Equifax and they only charged me for the actual report. No memebership fees for another service that we NEVER signed up for!!! When we called to have membership cancelled they told us they could not reverse the charges!!! This is totally unacceptable! Especially for a Credit Reporting Agency!

I went online to Experian's site to "thaw" my credit so my bank could access my report for a line of credit I was redoing.

I never wanted to sign up for any credit monitoring. I keep mine and my husbands credit frozen. I only wanted to thaw my credit for the bank.

They are charging me $19.95 times 2 every month.

A fectishes credit reporting agencie who claim to be EXPERIENCE INC . And the failure of the tru EXPERIAN credit reporting agencie to do more to protect and notify all making aware of such rip-offs. I expected to get free credit report annually. and Experian asked me to give credit card information in order to verify/protect ID fraud. Thus, I paid 1 dollar to get my information. I was surprised they claim I was willing to be their membership to take my 21 dollars away monthly without my knowledge. I am deaf and i was unable to call Experian to cancel without my video phone it is in my home. I asked my bank to help call experian. I was upset Experian rejected to refund first month fee.

I ordered my free so called crefdit report. In order to get the information there a was $1 but it only for purpose that it will be refunded if I chose not to continue with service. I was ill and in the hospotal. when I came home I noticed two emails from them. On December 2015 two separate emails to update my credit caRD. i EMAILED BACK TWICE WITH CANELATION.

Thye did not stop. continued on charging sometime twice in a cycle.

keep in mind no charges on November or december of 2015. called my credit company. and they flat out denied the dispute. I caled the number and the Experian was not giving me clear answers on how they had my information.

I was also a mewmmber of Credit karma. do not ever trust a conmp[any with no phonee number. The emails requesting my credit information was from a third agency hired by Experian. First Bank was not only an advocate but they did not take the time to even add 1+1 together. unprofessional. today i called and we went over this issue with first bank and they said sorry it was suppose to billing resolution department. i said when a company charges my card without my ok i call it fraud.

After paying for my Fico scores and report I agreed to cancel on time so not to be charged monthly for other services.

I was just charged again and after speaking to the super intendent they will not remove the charge. They said I activated the account when 7 days later I tried to copy my report for a financial advisor who needs it.

This is a scam and there site is unfriendly when it comes to closing your activation.

I know for a fact I specifically paid for only one credit report. 10 months later I find out they've been charging me 21.95/month. I. Had. No. Idea. I'm not some flake that has all kinds of monthly bills, either. I demanded to see in writing what I agreed to.

  • Jan 27, 2016

I'm trying to buy a house but i noticed a couple illegitimate postings on my report. I was able to work with TU and Equifax by calling them and using their online web interface just fine however, I can not communicate, register or login to the Experian website and create dispute or get my free credit report. They have no phone number listed where you can talk to someone and they only give me a message saying they won't give me my credit report or allow me to make a dispute except by mailing it to them. That is pure crap! This is 2016.... and they are screwing w/ my livlihood right now because a couple clowns thought they would create collection posts based on acccounts I already paid. The collection companies don't even exist anymore. Frustrating is an understatement.

  • Jan 8, 2016

I wanted to enquire about my credit score in October of 2015 before buying another car. I went to Experian.com, as well as one of their competitors. I pressed the "Get your credit report and FICO score" button, not knowing there was a condition attached to pressing this button.

I got my credit score and purchased the car.

On January 5 I noticed a deduction of $21.95 from my debit card. Not understanding why this charge was made, I called my bank. To my shock, not only did I have this charge, I had one for both November and December 2015.

I called Experian on January 6 to rectify the solution. To my dismay, I was told I had purchased a monthly credit tracking membership. Needless to say, I was seeking to not only cancel the membership but get a full refund on the 3 month's worth of charges to debit card. I explained to them that their website is misleading and I didn't knowingly sign up for a monthly membership. In fact, they checked and the only time I had used Experian was on October 26, 2015.

Their response? "Due to the terms and conditions you signed up for, we can only issue you a refund of one month as a courtesy." I persisted that this was unethical as I didn't know I signed up for this. Incdientally, I had, in fact, had this very same issue on the very same day with one of their competitors. The competitor handled it in a much better way. Not only did they refund the $39.99/mo for November - January, they also went as far as to tell me that they have received so many complaints they are in the process of redesiging their website and sign-up process. So much more consumer-friendly than Experian.

Experian wouldn't back down and only refunded me the $21.95. When the customer service supervisor asked if he could do anything else from me, I politely responded "I will never being doing business with Experian again."

How can it be ethical to automatically charge you a monthly membership if you don't cancel a 7-day trial you didn't know was a 7-day trial? Their large yellow button "Get your credit report and FICO score" is so huge that you don't even know there is fine print below it explaining the trial offer.

In the very least they should send you a reminder email saying your trial is about to expire, and give you the option to cancel it so you don't get charged the monthly fee.

I am very disappointe in this type of misleading marketing and even more disappointed that they couldn't refund me the full 3-month charge.

  • Dec 15, 2015

I recently had someone steal my personal information and access two member accounts thru Experian. One in their name and one in my name. Obviously so they could also monitor my credit report along with their own. Each report was billed to my debit card. I contacted Experian and notified them that i did not know or authorize these transactions but the supervisor kept telling me that one of the accounts was in my name so they could only refund my money back for the account in the perpetrators name. But they are the ones who told me who the person was that committed the fraud in the first place! Yet when it comes to refunding my money back theres nothing they can do. I reseached it online and come to find out that this is a reoccurring theme with this company. How can anybody possibly trust them with there credit when they are commiting a scam themselves!

  • Dec 7, 2015

I checked my credit card account with 123rewards card today 11/23/2015 finding another charge from Experian for the amount of $21.95 that is another charge I never authorized. They did send me an email advising me I did not finish their transaction but I already received my credit results and did not click the button for the $1.00 fee to start up the 7 day transaction with to start charging me $21.95 a month. I didn't even know what that was until today. I have the e mail to prove I never clicked on that box to charge the $1.00 so they could start me on their monthly fee for $21.95.. I asked my credit card company to stop Experian from scamming me and thousands of other people having the same problem. There are thousands of people being scammed by Experian Credit Bureau. You will see this is a scam and I can prove it with my documentations if needed. I purchased their credit score and report for the $39.95 and no need to go any further. I never ask for a their credit tracker and never heard of such a thing until I noticed they nailed my cc for the $21.95 more. This is a total scam and I disputed this with my credit card company providing the email they sent me trying to get me to click on the box for $1.00. I never clicked on the box for that trial period and that's why have the document that says Oops! looks like you didn't get a chance to finish by clicking on the box for a $1.00. This is a total scam and there are thousands of people getting ripped off by tricking us to make us think we purchased such a service. I didn't need that type of service so why would I offer to purchase it.

I checked my credit report, and they offered to charge me for my Fico score $1.06 which they did charge to my American Express Card. 8 days later I get a charge for 23.32 on my credit card, from Consumerinfo.com.. I called them up, and because I did not uncheck a small box, that I did not see, they are charging me to monitor my credit! I never asked for this service, and when I saw on the internet where others had been ripped off for the same reason.. I called and asked for a refund and they just cancelled the service but offered no refund.. This needs to be reported to the Better Businees Bureau.. How about that a Credit company that rips you off.. This is crazy!!!

I ordered a 7 day free trial from Experian and cancelled before it ran out so I would not be charged. I was charged anyways so I called them to complain and they said I never cancelled so the charge was legit but they could refund me 9.95 of the 21.95 that I was charged.

I continued to argue with them that they was wrong that I did cancel and if it was showing up in their computer than there is a problem with their automated system. After several minutes the operator then stated that I did indeed cancel but it was after the trial period so the charge was legit which is also incorrect.

I said just give me the 9.95 that you said I can be refunded then because I was tired of argueing. She then said that she never offered me 9.95. I said yes you did and don't forget this call is recorded therefore you are on record offering it to me. She said well I did but I'm not giving it to you because you didnt cancel in time. Experian is a complete ripoff and offers people a free trial knowing that they are going to charge them anyway! I want my money back!!!!

Experian CONTINUES to engage in deceptive, unethical business practices even after receiving virturally thousands of complaints.

I, like others, failed to see the fine print (on the 2nd screen, not the first) when I placed on online order for a $1.00 credit report. I was surprised to notice that a couple weeks later that I was charged $21.95 on my charge card.

I was angry when I complained to Experian and a supervisor told me that they would not refund the $21.95 because the 7 day "trial period" had expired. When asked, the supervisor acknowleged that she receives many calls complaining about the practice.

When I called my credit card company the agent was aware of the problem with Experian and told me that the credit card company would likely not honor the $21.95 charge.

The internet is riddled with thousands of complaints exactly like mine.

When I sent an email to customer relations at Experian, I complained about this ONGOING unethical and deceptive business practice - KNOWN TO EXPERIAN MANAGEMENT. All they would have to do to be transparent and ethical is to send an automated email making clear of the ensuing $21.95 monthly charges after the 7 day trail period.

What I find particularly offensive about this practice is that many consumers will be intimidated by the fact that they are trying to avoid paying a charge to a company who controls their credit score!!!!
