Just joined viasat after the installer said it was god to go the next day my internet was very slow and would cut out sometimes for as much as an hour or even 2 this was happening on a sunny clear day. I then called and they told me that they delt with issues through the internet. 1 that would have been nice to know before i signed with them how are you to contact them when your internet they are providing wont work? 2 when i talked with the rep. before i got it they recommended the package i got from some questions they asked about my usage and recomended this package that they said i would be happy with and cover my needs and if i did go over my plan it was no big deal it would just be a little slower in 6 days i used all of my plan and even before i used it all the internet was slow. 3 once you do get someone to help you they out source so good luck in understanding what they are saying and asking them to please try to speak slower and more clearly it will be at that point that somehow your call gets dropped and they will not call you back. there are several sites they want you to go to so you can fix your internet i wonder if i am able to bill them for my time for such an awful service at such a high price I will be contacting BBB in my state this a company no one should deal with. I only hope that enough of us come together to get rid of them. there is nothing good to say about this company and they hide everything from you they dont even let you read the service agreement before you can only do that after your installation then it is to late when you see all of the attorney wording in the contract they do this on purpose if you know all this before no one would be with them

We went back and forth.I asked for SUPERVISOR and expressed it tohim.Nothing he could do .I said if I need to pay more I will.I the top plan in my area. He said if Iwas getting .19 download speed in non congested hours. He said call bakc tommorow .,I said I had it earlied in day with non congested hours and he said I would have call back later.

I am looking for another plan ,and am expressing my opinion. They really suck bad.

I have their high speed internet however I can't even watch a movie On Demand. It's too slow. I called and complained. I even spoke to someone in upper management and he told me he gets a lot of complaints from customers who can't use their On Demand services through DirecTV. He told me their service does not work well with On Demand. He didnt give me any solution to the problem either. He just confirmed that I am locked into a 2 year contract that if I break I will have to pay $15 for every month still left under the contract. So I'm just f**ked.

I told him I get paid on the 4th so I move my bill date to the 4th they promised me I would have internet service and I can be making my full payment on the 4th they negligently lied to me and so they can just get a contract started they're a bunch of Thieves and Liars they promised me now if I don't pay my balance to $30 they they wouldn't restore my service same lady on the phone telling me that it's okay to pay on the 4th and we won't shut you off this woman is a two-faced liar in Shaniqua at least you're dealing with Americans here so I am not complaining about that these people will rob you blind just to get a contract so the only choice I had in my neighborhood probably nothing will happen but oh well

EXEDE Internet is a Rip Off! I have to TRASH a local internet company on every social media spot that I can. If you live in the Highland Lakes area DON'T ever do business with EXEDE internet. We have been getting ripped off by this company for years. Slow satellite speed internet package that has 25GB data limit before they start charging overages for $150/month. BUT that's not the worst of it. Half the time its down. Some times the whole weekend will go by and we are DOWN! I have to drive back into Austin just to get work done. Not much alternatives out in the hill country but we finally just went to HughesNet hoping for better service. So I called to cancel and the "lady" that I talked to said she could offer twice the speed and data for less money if I didn't cancel (too late, already hooked up to HughesNet). AFTER, mind you, I had called many times to ask if they had anything BETTER with the answer of NO every time. Do you think they could have emailed me? Or contacted by phone? The to add insult to injury she says I'm one day into the new billing cycle so they will be charging me a whole month ($150) and there is nothing you can do about that, ma'am (Texas hospitality).

Excede internet charged my bank account 289 dollars with no notice or explanation almost two months after service was terminated and all equipment was returned. First three people I talked to claimed the modem and cable were not returned. Then their story turned to "termination fees" I've never received any notice or bill stating I was going to get charged or what the charges are allegedly for.

  • Apr 22, 2017

Excede. Wildblue, Viasat, what ever name they operate under in your area they are a ripoff. Make promises they cannot fulfill and then when you complain , threaten to take money from your bank account for early termination of a service they cannot provide.

As I see it I should be charging them from the year of money they took from me when they did not provide the service they said they would.

We need an attorney to take a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them so they can stop ripping off people.

Recently I had some very close friends who chose to use exede satellite internet because they lived in a rual area where standard broadband, or any other internet service was not available. They contacted exede and were directed to a dealer named Jim from this face book page - www.facebook.com/Exede-Satellite-Internet-1794787057468811. The website name was downtoearthmediainc.com. Naturally the seller hastily took their money but never bothered to explain exede's unreliable speed which they say can be as high as 25mb/s but isnt available to all of their cutomers. Their speed is in fact 12mb/s at max which means it is on average much slower. Their internet speed also fluctuates and doesnt allow for streaming services to be used such as netflix or hulu, and when one can use those service with their internet its so buggy and pixelated its mostly unwatchable. They also did explain the data caps which range from 10gb a month to 30gb, a month with the lower end caps costing $49.99 and the upper 2 plans cost $69.99 for the 18gb and 99.99 for the 30gb. On top of that with their internet service being satellite it is vulnerable to bad weather and can go out or be interupted even if their is moderate to heavy cloud cover as well as rain, snow, or other bad weather.

In addition to not explaining those points, they also neglected to mention that once a person goes past their data limit their speed gets throttled back to between 1-5mb/s a second which wouldnt allow for streaming service or much of anything most net users use their internet for these days. They hook people with their service because they prey on people who cannot get decent internet due to the rural areas they live in, and then they soak them for as much money as they can without giving a service those poor cutomers can actually rely on and enjoy.

I and a friend of mine posted about this to Jim at his facebook page that I referenced and he promptly deleted the posts rather than answer any questions. Definitely not worth the money, the headache, or the lousy customer service. Also be prepared to have any questions you ask them to go unanswered because they dont have any answers to give.

Called to get internet. Friendly man goes over data usage plans and we settle on the 12G plan, believing I would not need more. He tells me a price of $60 and sets up day two days later, Christmas Eve, between hours of 8-11. Man calls Saturday and times were changed to between 11-1pm. Man calls ten minutes to one and says he will be there soon. It takes man 2 1/2 hours to set up. When he leaves I quickly notice that it was just a modern and not router, so I call and man tells me work order was just for modem but Incould either buy router from store, or rent one from excede and they could ship it out. Christmas comes and I have laptop set up to modem and was streaming Netflix for family. It started raining a little and screen froze several times. By the time they left we were not able to watch but one out of three shows fully all the way through. Went to my email to find letter stating that we went over out 12G. I was outraged. Today I called to cancel services due to CSR not explaining the fact that Netflix in HD runs data at a rate of 3G per hour movie. He told me that we could change definition to SD and watch at .7G. I told him I wanted to cancel and he told me that there is **no trial period with Excede** and to cancel would be the remainder of the contracted 24 months at $15 a month. There is always a cancellation time for any services according to the law of at least 3 days. Why does Excede think they are different.

I'm Reporting Exede wild blue Internet service. I asked as manny questions as I could think of before signing up for Exede Internet service. I signed up for 25gb of data priced at 129.00 a month. My first day into my service were told we used 70% of our data, then an hour later 80% of our data. After 10 phone calls to Exede to find out how was that possible especially since 10% of my available data was being used when no one was at home. I wanted to terminate my account after signing up a day after my service was connected. I got a lot of run around and never any questions being answered and to cancel my service will cost me another 360.00 for an early termination fee. Jessica Colfax, california

Had a two year agreement for internet service. Service was slow and expensive, really expensive. Called to cancel service on Dec 6th at the end of the contract which was Dec 16th. Was told I had to cancel on the 16th and not before, otherwise I would pay a penalty. Told them I was going to be out of the country and wanted them to put it in their system to do an auto cancel on the 16th.. They would not do that. Have to call on the date or a 3day window after that. Otherwise, billing would occur for the following month. Terrible customer service. No interest in the customer. I would stay clear of Excede if at all possible.

Also known as WildBlue, Blacksheep inc. Was purchased by Direct TV as a "add on". I wasn't told it was a separate company, I was led to believe it was part of Direct TV as it was set up same time as my Direct TV. Then come to find out, it was installed by 2 separate installers. After 10 days, and long waits on the phone to try and TALK to some PERSON. I finally got through after 10 days. I cancelled it. I was told that because it was a 2 yr contract, I would be charged for each month I didn't use. In other words, 23 months of service. They informed me they would take $344.00 out of my checking on Nov 12th. I told them DO NOT access my account!! Send me a PAPER BILL. They guy said he put a stop on the computer and that my account would NOT be debited!. Yeah, RIGHT!!! TODAY, Nov 14th, my bank online said they posted a debit for the $344.00!!! EXCEDE ARE LIARS!!!! I told them NOT to do this! I went to the bank and tried to put a stop payment on it, don't know if that will help as it is already posted to my acct!. STAY CLEAR of this company!! On day 1, the installer had a hard time getting it running, AND, I paid an additional $120.00 for a POLE to put the dish on!. Then from day 1, I had no service, and the few times I did, (only minutes) it was slower than molesass,... This company is a rip off!!! DO NOT USE THEM! They go by Wild Blue, and is owned by Blacksheep Enterprises. BEWARE!!!

I would never recommend Excede to ANYONE!!!! They started out making promises about a product that is not to standard.!!! The internet service!!! To some there may not be many options.. therefore you would think the customer service would be better....It's not!!! I was told that due to a suboptimal product that did not fit my family needs and was promised differently that I would not be charged a canceallation fee!! NOTE ... we starting calling 2 hours after technician left and actually made the disconnect of service in less than 24 hours !!! We were made that promise and 2 months later recieve a bill.... yes for 400 dollars!!! Called again was told that they saw the waived canceallation fees in the papers ....But once again a bill.... This time from a collections agencey threatening to report to credit bureas!!!

Exceded your internet sucks!!! and the CEO of this company should be ashamed to even have any part of the ethics, morals and customer service involved with this company!!!

  • Oct 21, 2016

Avoid at all costs! The worst company I have ever signed up for. Total lies over and over from them. The 1st month required 8 calls to CS and 2 service calls, yet NEVER fixed they're slower than dialup speeds for more than a day each time.

I have a spring summer weekend beach home. Signed up spring of 2015 with excede. Worked great , no issues. Put it on vacation from nov 2105- may 2016 so I have no bill since home is closed. This season every weekend I am calling them since the service gets slower than dial up.. A few times they gave me 1GB for free but other times I have to buy it.

My billing starts on the 1st of every month and this month Oct 2016 My first day here was oct 7 through 10th. Today is oct 15th and got here after 4pm but some how I am already over my monthly useage.. Impossible since I am the only one who uses my home .

So called them and tech support again tried the bs of bla bla bla and i need tp buy more gb in order for it to work as uts supposed to.. Asked for supervisor but they are too busy to come to the phone.. Poor supervisor has to hear all of the unsatisfied customers .

Well I decided to deal with it this weekend since I am closing up my home next weekend. Then I will cancel and tell them where to go with their contract plus I will call amex to block their charge. Done with Excede.. The worst running internet company there is .. BEWARE of them

  • Sep 14, 2016

This company has been a problem from day one, with unreliable internet service. They make it very difficult to terminate service and when you do, they immediatelly disconnect your service while you are on the phone with them, before you even have a chance to indicate the date of termination. This is in spite of the the fact that you have already prepaid for the entire month. Their customer service staff is rude, inerruptive, argumentative, and do not attempt to address customer needs. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

C***** is a sweet dream compared to this company, but unfortunately, it is unavailable in our area. The rude, inept culture there at Exceed is inexcusable. There is no need for a company to treat their customers so poorly, unfairly, and unprofessionally. I have found myself continually paying for service that I do not receive, with no sense on their part of anything other than ripping off the customer. BEWARE!

  • Jun 13, 2016

When I was told about Excede Wildblue satilite internet, I was told there were no contracts to sign. There is not one to sign, you signed up for two years automatically when took the service. You are not told that though. I found out when I wanted to terminate the service because of poor quality reception. I wasn't told when you move your 2year contract starts over again. I also was charged extra money for the move. The technician could not get the service hooked up and left. My son can over the next day and got the service to work. My next bill was when I found out about the extra moving charges. Nothing but "Lies" from the beginning. Worst internet service provider I have ever had.

A little over 2 weeks ago I contacted Direct TV for tv and internet service. They explained that they bundled Direct Tv with Exede internet. I was quoted a monthly bundle price of $99.

I went through the whole process with the rep from Direct Tv. Made arrangements for someone to come out and install the system. He then transferred me to Exede for my internet.

I made arrangements for exede to come do the internet installation. I was told I could lease the equipment for $9.95 a month or purchase it for $199. I chose to purchase. Direct TV came out on May 20 and did an excellent job. Their tech was both professional and pleasant. Exede came out on May 23 to install the second dish for the internet.

First thing the tech told me was the equipment I purchased was not WiFi compatible and I would need to pay $50 in cash for a router. Which I did. Then he proceeds to start the installation. First, he didn't have enough cable on his truck. So he pulled out my old cable that was left over from Comcast. Next he drapes a cable across the middle of my roof. When he left, I had internet that was extremely slow. I called customer service and was told it was a weather related outage. (No bad weather in my area). The problem got worse. I had no access at all. I called several times.

Anyway, where he installed the router and modem, he left a tangled mess of wires. The large black box, I believe it is the power pack was left dangling from an extension cord. It fell and the weight pulled my electric outlet right out of the wall. The plastic on the outlet was burned and melted.

I called exede. They sent another tech. He called his supervisor and told him it was the worst mess of an installation he had ever seen. He sent his supervisor pictures of the outlet.

After days of calling and being put on hold for countless hours, I called the corporate office. Within hours, someone from exede called to tell me that they weren't responsible. My outlet must have been improperly installed. (The tech that took the picture acknowledged that the weight of the power pack is what caused it to pull out of the wall. I heard him on the phone with his supervisor.

One week after the installation, I get a letter stating my internet will be $69.99 plus taxes and fees per month. Well the TV portion is $50. The bundle price is supposed to be $99 before taxes and fees. At $69.99 that makes my bundle $119.99. Not the $99 I was quoted.

And as of right now, I have no internet access at all. Not a single light is lit on the modem. And I have a burned outlet in my wall. I was simply told to call the fire department or pay an electrician to fix it because it isn't their problem.

The day after the installation they took the first payment out of my account. So, in total, I have given them over $300 in the last 2 weeks for internet that I don't have.

Sorry for the long rant. I've left a lot out. But a near electrical fire and not internet is enough to start with.

Sales/installer misrepresnted the total service that was explained to me then was provided. I was not told that I signed up for a promotional product that was going to change I explained that I wanted to stream TV from the internet to eliminate satellite tv by using Netflix, Hulu, etc. I already had been a WildBlue Cust for 6+ years(same company. I was told that another 2 yr contract was needed. Did not know why , but agreed. I was told about the service, 50g per mo, 59.99 mo 2yrs, and that it would change in July and get better. I signed an installation completion sheet and 1 of the guys was showing me stuff on my computer and the other guy was packing up, then they were gone and I then realized I didnt have a copy of what I signed and didn't have a contact # for them Exede said they didn't either and could not supply a copy for me. First bill came and there was an equipment rental charge. I contested saying that my total charges explained did not include this charge adn again I asked for a copy of the signed contract which they couldnot provide. this went on and I believe I got 1 $15 credit. then the monthly service went up twice. I called to complain many times to no avail. I finally called again last week and was given info to chane my plan and I chose not to and wanted to speak to a supervisor. the agent got really snippy and told me that the supervisor wouldn't do anything more than he concerning the lies I was told about what I 'thought' I purchased and what I got. I insisted to speak to a supervisor and he got snppier and said he would contact one to see if they would talk to me. he came back on the line and told me they would not take my call. I insisted again and was simply put on terminal hold. I hung up after 19 minutes. I went online today and my service was indeed downgraded to a 10 gb plan without my permission. I called customer service (or lack of) and was told their systems were down and to call back in a few hours. This is totally unexceptable sevive on all levels

This company is unbelievable,

1. Didnt show for installation 2x,

2. Offered 2 months free service for above blunder but never got it.

3, Billed me twice for 3/16, havent got refund yet.

4. I moved and they said it was free to transfer service. AFTER move I received a UPS PACKAGE demanding return of old modem and the TRIA attached to the dish on my past residence where I no longer live. I am a paraplegic disabled service connected COMBAT VETERAN and they expect me to go back and get the TRIA or pay $300. NO WAY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME BE3FORE I MOVED

They slow my internet service down every month! Saying,I've used to much data.

I truly believe all of this started happening when my contract expired. They are trying to up data plan plus contract renewal. If a lawyer would like to file against this company .I believe,

I can prove, I've been rip-off ! This has been going on almost 6mts or more....

My husband and I took over car insurance, xm radio and the internet service account for my father-in-law. Father-in-law passed away last week. I have been canceling the service on all the accounts associated with the address of service.

Exede refuses to close the account stating they will charge us for an early termination fee. My father-in-law wanted to live but died of Pancreatic Cancer. Had he lived longer Exede would have the completion of the contract. There is no consideration in cancelling the account because we were paying the account and the account was under our name even though the service address is not our service address.
