I answered an ad on Craigslist to company out in Plano Texas called energyblue Tech. This is a company that runs ads out of town in small cities advertising home installation service seminar with a free restaurant dinner. Basically, they give seminars to homeowners to put attic installation into your home along with some other items such as solar fans, and a device that's supposed to run to you air conditioning system and improve your allergies or some. They use is regular Pink Panther lining, solar fans and a device that supposed to improve your allergies. All of this I presume they get in bulk for a cheap price. Now if you want to pay 10000 - $14,000 and a free dinner. For something that you can probably get done by your local Home Improvement company for probably one third of the price that's your business. But I was one of the subcontractors that answered this ad and was told I would get paid $500 for the first week and then be on a commission basis I went out of town for most of the week they put me in a Hotel and pretty much got the work done that they asked me and another contractor to do although the other contractor got really sick so I had to do most of the work myself. The company owner Jared Olsen I suppose, told me that I would be paid for my services the very next week. And that he would also call me the next week for the next week's work schedule which he never did. When I I was working for this guy I can always reach him by phone almost immediately. But the next week past and after I had sent my direct deposit information I was not paid. I kept calling this guy, but he wouldn't answer his phone wouldn't text me back or anything. He finally answered his phone when I put an ad on Craigslist talking about his company. He told me that I needed to turn in my 1099 forms in order to get paid. And he said he would pay me almost immediately once I did well the next Friday came and there was still no word and I still did not get paid. These guys are thieves to subcontractors. They use your services and then hire other subcontractors and not even pay you. That's how they operate there company subcontractors are expendable. In any other situation I could have called the police on them for theft. But in Texas your only Outlet is Workforce Commission to complain to and they know this very well that's why they can get away with this. What bothers me the most besides being ripped off the money for working for them. Is that they never returned your phone calls or texts once you're finished working with them and when you do finally get a hold of them they promised you that they'll pay the money that's owed to you but they never do. Subcontractors be very aware of this company. In today's market jobs are very hard to come by and there are a lot of desperate people like me who are just looking for a job that these vultures can take advantage of. I was left without my car payment or my phone bill being paid they really left me high and dry I was a desperate person in a desperate situation and they took advantage of me. You might get paid by this company Maybe for a while but eventually they will find other subcontractors to replace you and once they do they will replace you without having paying your last paycheck. Beware of working for this company.
