IF you want to create a carsharing business and had the idea of purchasing a white label solution, then you are at the right place!
My business partner and I decided 4 months ago to launch a carsharing business and decided to buy a white label solution instead of building an in-house development company. At that time, the decision was a no brainer!
Because of my technical background, I, was the unfortunate m**o, with the task to choose the white label provider…
I googled “uber clone” and “uber white label”, etc… and I stumbled upon an Indian company with a charmingly designed website ( good first impression ). As I was browsing the website, a chat window popped up and I was asked for my WhatsApp number… And so the adventure began.
The price wasn’t cheap and they argued that they provide a high-quality product compared to the competition. Kinda makes sense…
They gave me a link to a demo app… Everything in the demo app worked fine so we moved to the next step which is installing and running the app in 24 hours after receiving the first payment… And that’s when my life has changed to a nightmare…
They installed the App in a few days and I started testing… The login was broken and I had to spend hours testing all the sign-in/signup scenarios and file bugs. Sometimes they respond with a simple “No, it works!” So I have to do a screencast to have them believe me… I will spare you the details with a playlist of screencasts
I have filed over 50 bugs. I won’t go into the details of you can’t remove anything from the dashboard. So if you accidentally add a city or car type, you will live with it in your dashboard forever… I feel like the engineer who wrote the code did it as a school project.
Elluminati ‘s project manager is the wife of the owner and the sales team is afraid to tell her that the product sucks and doesn’t meet the client’s expectation. Or maybe they are just telling me that because they are sales guys and they tell you anything to soothe your anger.
The owner of Elluminati is the best definition of a sales guy who sells something that he doesn’t understand and no matter what you tell him, he responds with: “Our other clients are happy” ( highly doubted as I asked previous clients ) and “I have nothing to worry about”.

You promised the world to me when you sold me the app.
You said thousands of users are using the app with no problem.
We have only 15 drivers and the app is going nuts.
I am trying my last shot here before switching to a different app.
I respectfully asked to get a report on the things that were changed on the code today and got no response.
App crashes most of the time.
The map on the dashboard is off. WAY OFF.
Different prices for user and driver.
A driver in the middle of the trip gets ride requests.
A driver sitting next to the client and the client can’t reserves him.
The user app freezes when the driver accepts the call.
etc….
This is beyond frustrating! If I were you I would fire my engineers for the quality of the code.
You don’t realize the impact of this on our business. Yet, you go home, and you leave us in the dark just like any normal day until your engineers try to fix things the next day. Very normal… while we are losing sleep over this.
On your last call, you said, we fix the bugs in 24 hours.
And you honestly think that we will be using your engineers for future projects?
I am done with promises. I want actions. I want a working app. Is that too much to ask?
If you can’t provide us with a working app, then fine, give me my money back or I am going to use all the necessary legal actions available to us. We already consulted a lawyer.
Again, apologies and promises mean nothing at this point. If your engineers need to put 12 hours a day to fix the problems so be it. And I need to know what changes were made so they don’t break other things.
I don’t think I can be clearer than this.
You have until the end of this week or we will make a switch on the weekend and proceed with a legal action asking for damages.
