Shady Place

You can make money but you have to have no soul. It's very dishonest in my opinion and youre stuck in the same spot for 6 hours doing and saying the same things OVER AND OVER with only a 15 minute break

Review of Elite It Home

Anything and everything I can say concerning Elite It Home is superlative! I could never manage my computer glitches and downright problems without the support of Elite It Home. They are there immediately when I request assistance. They have been able to solve Every Problem for which I have requested assistance. Every computer owner should have access to Elite It Home. There is nothing at all negative I can ever say about Elite It Home. I stand behind them 100%!

Elite It Home charged my credit card 199.00 in addition to a monthly fee of 29.99. I did not authorize any computer services. I learned by previous monetary losses. I contacted my credit card and reported an unauthorized charge. I sent them a letter detailing why it was not authorized. I called the number provided with my statement. The woman I talked with was so hateful after I requested documentation. I wanted to hear my voice providing the confirmation as in a recorded phone call. She put me on hold and after 5 minutes (at least) told me bits and pieces of the conversation about the high maintenance of computers. The phone call made me so mad because the salesman was so insistant, I just hung up. She refused to refund the charge so I asked if I could just cancel the membership and she told me it would cost $150.00.

I reported the dispute with Visa (Merrick Bank) and after several months I received a letter telling me the charges had been removed from my account. Today, a letter from Visa informed me that the charges had been re-billed. The point is, the elite it did not get permission from me to take control of my computer. I don't use my computermore than once or twice a month. The documentation from Elite It...stated what they did to my computer--exactly my point I did not want the crooks to do anything to my computer. I, again called Visa regarding their latest decision. I was told they would not reverse the charges.

My next step is to report the criminal internet activity to my Atorney General, Chris Costner. If that does not work I will hire an attorney to file a law suit against them. This incident has been in action so long now the stress has trigered an asthma attack so long lasting that I had to go to my Doctor to bring it under control..Not the mention the time I've used, letters, phone calls. The letter I received today advised me to deal directly with the merchant to continue my dispute--well I am not that crazy. I hope this information will help others.

I am reporting Elite IT to the Attorney General in Florida as well since my father was scammed as well. They are based in Utah, so I will pursue the BBB there as well as the Attorney General and FederalBureau of Consumer Protection. Good luck and I hope you follow through. The BBB of Utah has 34 complaints against them- check online.

Did they change my logon password?

After having email delays, I attempted to access my Comcast email via the comcast WEB site. Within the many screens that were presented I was asked for my phone number and email. Frustrated I quit after no reply was presented.

Within a few minutes I got a call from 877-704-3223 and a guy names Spencer. He indicated that he was not Comcast but rather a third-party firm that supports Comcast customers having system problems. He sounded reasonable, so I agreed to allow him to look around in my system and make some recommendations. He then offered to provide a service agreement that I said I would consider later after he sent me some details. Our call ended.

After restarting my system, I was unable to have my sign-on password accepted. I have been using the system for over six months with no issues. I called the number to see if Spenser could explain if he had done anything to cause this problem. I got a bit of an assurance that nothing had been done and then an offer for system services which I declined.

Being unable to restart my system I had to retreat to basics and purchase / reload a new copy of Window 10 and associated user tools.

The company on the other end of the phone was Elite IT Home. I can’t say for sure what happened but.. ???

Not honest

The deal was $159.00 down and $19.00 a month and the first 2 months of service were free for a complete scan and fixing my Email that was not working. They also said I had malware which as everyone knows is very common. Complete system scan every 2 months and everything kept up to date. etc. etc. I paid with CC and they billed me for the whole total all at once, $379.86 so that I assume they would get all their money. When I called to ask what the charge was for all at once I was told that they would start over and just bill me monthly and they already had been paid by the credit card. I told them to cancel the whole thing and was told that I would lose the whole amount , that there were no refunds. This company stinks and it takes 2-3 minutes for my email to load and the whole thing freezes all the time. I am a senior citizen but have some working knowledge of computers and have worked with them and feel just plain ripped off.

I forgot my password while trying to get on my email and a important message appeared telling me I needed to call a 800 number to get on and reset password. Being elderly I did and spoke with a young main named Justin. He assured me no doubt a virus on my computer and said they could run a test to see so believing it was the HP computer company let him check. Net thing I knew he was telling me they would have to delete all information and back up my programs on a disk they would mail to me. Then came the information that I was being charged. Still in shickbthatI was told had not just one but several virusis I was rather pamiced. Scam is the word. DO Not get taken as I did. Unethical company praying on folks so do not have much knowledge of how computers run, nirmallyvthe elderly.

Bogus advertising

They advertised that they could retrieve data and didn't come through for me but billed me anyway. I paid for something I didn't get. $137 and five minutes on the phone to have a technician tell me that he couldn't help me.

Scam Company

This company took advantage of my elderly father by charging him $199 plus additional $19 monthly charges for a useless bogus virus/system protection . My father somehow found this company by searching for computer help through his browser. He somehow was redirected to this company. Elite IT remotely accessed his computer, showed him malware and sold him a service to remove it. He called to cancel, but was told that it would be an additional $150 to cancel. The Elite It software that is running from the start-up on his computer is difficult to remove and does not do anything. There was malware/pop-ups on his computer(whether or not Elite-It put them there or not is unknown), but this Elite IT protection software does not even detect it to fix it. This is a company that intentionally target elderly and tech unsavy folks and rips them off.

I suggest if the former employees that post negative reviews of this company clear their conscious and report this company to the Attorney General, and FTC Bureau of Consumer Fraud Protection. The BBB in Utah does very little and still gives this company an A when 47% (34/72) of their reviews are complaints. T

Fraudulent Company indicated that they worked for Apple

Received e-mail saying that software that was ordered last summer was defective. Call them immediately so that the problem would be solved. When I called they said that they would correct buy computer problem. They then proceeded to correct the problem. They said that my firewall was turned off. They said that they would do all the work that my computer needed done. They started that the problem would cost $199.99. I was fearful that I did not have my computer brought back to a safe working computer that I would not have anymore access to my computer so I said yes. There was much conversation regarding my age (70) am taking dementia meds and was quite upset. I asked if they had senior prices. They said no. I was persuaded that I needed to have this taken care of, they also said that the charge would cover me for the next 5 days. After paying them via my Visa Credit Card they said that the problems were taken care of. Each day a new problem would pop up. Then I realized that I had coverage from Apple. I called Apple they told me that it sounded like fraud. That apple would never send an e-mail and would never ask for my pass work and other pertain information. I then received info from Apple stating that the company was disputing the fact that they had to credit the money back and they needed more information from me. I am very disappointed in that I was cheated unfairly, lied to and were able to encourage me to pay them with my Visa Card.

I keep getting letter telling me I owe them $199.95

Scam!

I used this company one (1) time, cancelled it online, called the company to cancel, and 'thought' that'd be the end of it. Ya right!

Received a collection letter for over $80.00 US, threatening my credit rating! Good thing I have a solicitor on retainer to handle this matter as am unable to get through to this company so that they understand what is my decision.

I am tired of these companies that will not take NO for an answer.

Buyer be ware..this is not a reputable company!

eliteithome review by new customer

Haven't had this for long so don't know exactly how helpful it will be. When they helped me with a problem to start with they did a good job, but feel it is very costly for a sr. citizen like myself. Feel like I was sort of railroaded into signing up. Straightened out my problem and then told me how much I owed. Only time will tell if I am satisfied.Got a call a couple of nights ago from a person with a foreign accent that I couldn't hardly understand saying that someone was trying to get into my computer and they needed to access my computer to fix it. I just told them I didn't know what they were talking about and hung up. Hope it wasn't from your co. I'll have to evaluate this over time before I can give you a full review of how satisfied I am. I will not tolerate being scammed by anyone so walk softly because if anything out of the ordinary happens because of you I have lawyers standing by. All I can say for now is "So far so good," I'll see how it goes.Biggest complaint for me is the cost and penalizing if someone wants to cancel.

I called Elite IT to work on my computer because it was being slow and my email was hacked. They did a free scan to tell me what the problem was and sold me a computer support fix. I paid less than what the local shop charges and I got my computer fixed without having to leave my home. Overall not a bad experience. I was scammed by geek squad before and was nervous. Luckily nothing like that happened here. Their customer service team has been great to help with any other problems that I have. I am not very tech savvy but I appreciate the help.
