In mid April I booked with economy for car rental with Hertz in Sacramento. I paid thru PayPal. When I went to pick up car they couldn't accept it because it was in euros(?). Anyway I have been asking for my money back and can't seem to get a good answer. They keep saying they've forwarded on with an affiliate or the like. I had to rent a car for two days only because they had all my money tied up. I would really like to be reembursed.
We have booked car rental through this company. Received voucher for Europcar at O'Hare. Rental 24/7. Our plane arrived late at 2 am. Rental place (Advantage) was closed. We had to rent a car somewhere else. We have tried to get our money back. Nobody answer the phone (in New York - no 800) nobody answer email. We have tried Chat. After 2 hours someone with the name "Andy" answer the chat as follows: "Andy
Unfortunately, we cannot help because your booking was not with us. We don't provide booking numbers starting with the letter B."
BTW Booking number was on their "voucher"...
We had to report their charges to Credit Card as a fraud.
Booked a one-way trip for a rental car (selected pick-up and drop off destinations in the drop down windows of the site). Total was $194. I authorized the payment.
Upon making the payment a confirmation page came up with a charge of $254 and $508 DUE AT PICKUP!!!! That's $762 total for a confirmed price of $194.
Called, after 20 minutes of waiting and line disconnecting I spoke with a gentleman (with limited English capabilities). Cannot cancel via phone. Have to send e-mail to the company.
No confirmation of refund as of yet. Called AVIS direct and had excellent customer service. Do yourself a favor and forget these clowns. They will steal your $
