Easy Florida Moving LLC Reviews

Their prices were thousands of dollars less than others and we were very hopeful that they would be sufficient for what we needed for our cross country move. At the beginning they were helpful, communicated well and even delivered the empty containers on time for us to load. Thankfully we were cautioned by someone a week before the containers were delivered to re-evaluate how much storage we would actually need. Their online calculator is not accurate at all and even with us overestimating with two containers, we could of used three. So be aware that you may be stuck with having to order another container last minute at three times the price of the original one. Thankfully we were able to rent a Penske Truck and load it with the overflow and extra living items to hold us over for just "in case". Now we fast forward to 3 months later, our two containers have been in storage for those three months. Once we had settled on a closing date we notified Easy Florida Moving by 2 phone calls at 30 minutes apart at the beginning of November hoping this would give them plenty of time to ship our containers from Utah to Maine by the middle of December. Two weeks later we called to find out if they were in transit only to find out they had no record of the phone calls or the request to have them shipped. So another request was made with a promise of a followup email (which was never received with each request). Two weeks later (yesterday) another phone call to Easy Florida Moving to find out if they are on their way and this time we are notified that they received our request but that they have not initiated a delivery. They don't connect you to a manager, instead they pass along the information and tell you that a manager will be in touch by the following day. We did hear back today by email from an Escalation Manager Lead who informed us that they have not engaged a delivery and that they would be working on it. They couldn’t tell us why it hasn't been shipped.

It's so crazy to me that in one month from the initial request for delivery of the containers that nothing has happened. Nothing. With the lack of information of when our containers will be shipped or arrive and how long its taken them this far to communicate, we could possibly be in our new home for 1 month before our containers arrive.

This company is much cheaper than others and we knew in advance that this could cause some problems. For those interested in using them be aware that cheaper means ill-managed, major communication problems (unable to speak to someone who can give you answers), poor training of employees (can't facilitate a request of having your containers shipped, which is sort of important!), which means their Escalation Management Team is overwhelmed with problems that their staff have created. Some people have given great reviews, which on hindsight causes me to wonder if they are real reviews, but unfortunately many like us have had a bad experience and gotten caught in their web of mismanagement. We are hoping that their intent is not to hold our belongings hostage so that they can keep charging us storage fees.

Unfortunately, my wife and I had a far less than desirable experience with GroveStars Moving. We're both professionals, and if you value your money and time to the extent we do, read the following bullet points as to why our move was unsatisfactory so that you can objectively determine if you want to sign with them once they bring you to this website on their phone sales pitch:

1. We were quoted over phone by the sales agent a delivery window of 3 days after pick-up, but had our luggage delivered a week later. We ultimately found out that on the lengthy contract associated with our move that our interstate move could have taken up to the 17 days. Although it was our fault that we didn't read the contract, we trusted the sales rep's word and unfortunately that came back to haunt us. The notion of "customer" trust on their website is anything but accurate.

2. They undersold the estimate by more than 100%. Our initial moving estimate of $1590 ended up costing more than $3600. Mind you, we added approximately 4-5 suitcases and 4-5 picture frames. If the addition of this much material is equivalent to $2000, I will let you be the judge of that. Basically- they're first estimate is a gross underestimate so that you can sign their contract.

3. The workers who came to deliver our luggage neither A. had their own tools nor B. knew how to assemble anything we had. This is compounded by the fact that we're missing approximately 3 boxes and a critical piece of furniture for our bedroom set. This is of course, laid out clearly in the contract, but who wants to sign with movers with this kind of liability?

4. Their initial sales pitch was based on shaming other nearby companies like 2 men and a truck, for example. I should have realized this in hindsight, but any company that has to deliberately shame a prominent competitor likes a truly genuine business motive.

All in all, please avoid these movers. I would not be surprised if they restart their yelp page in an effort to refresh this post. I'll check regularly to make sure this is still posted and will re-post as long as is necessary.
