I saw an offer for bottled water delivery at Costco around May 2017 signing an agreement that included rental of a water cooler and a number of bottles of water per month. The total was around ten dollars a month. About September they sent me a bill for an additional 40 dollars for water they never delivered. I paid that sum after explaining that the water was never delivered because they told me that I had to pay for the bottles themselves. I told them that those bottles were now mine and that I wanted to stop the services.

I didn't hear from them again until April 2018 when I received a notice from a collection agency.

DS Services sent bill into collections for over three hundered dollers including the cost of the cooler which they never came to collect and the water that they never delivered.

Speaking to several representatives at DS Services they told me I could no longer dispute my account (I was never given the opportunity to dispute it anyway) and refused to provide any information as to their corporate headquarters (I told them I was going to file this with the BBB of the county of incorporation). All reps were rude, hostile, unprofessional and uncooperative.

My account remains in collection dispite my several attempts to resolve this issue and I am not returning their equipment until I get a full refund for thier fraudulent billing practices.

I ordered bottled water delivery by DS Services (Sparkletts) through Costco. They came an set up the water cooler and gave me my 3 bottles of water. The next month i received 1 bottle of water. I paid my bill online which included the other 2 bottles of water I did not receive because there was no way to amend the bill or pay less than the total amount.

I tried to call the company multiple times over the next few months because I was not getting any deliveries. The phone would just ring multiple times with no answer or transfer me to different lines and hang up. I spoke to the salesmen who were frequently at Costco and they wished me luck in getting in touch with the office because they said they couldn't get them. Apparently they were relocating their office.

After multiple months of a different delivery person calling with an excuse of why they couldn't come that month I let one of them know I was cancelling my service. They picked up the empty bottles and dispenser and sent my account to a credit agency (owned by them). When I called to disput the charges they conferenced in DS Services who agreed I didn't receive the services and agreed I didn't owe anything.

Several months later they placed an open account on my credit report.

Don't do business with this company!! When I spoke to the manager at Costco I was told they receive multiple complaints a month about this company and they wished Costco would remove the company from their offerings.

I was a customer for 8 years with sparkletts water. Water was delivered twice a month. My bill was always paid on time . Then one day I was unable to access my account due to the fact that sparkletts had sent me to collections. My prior bills never reflected an unpaid amount. When I was finally able to get through, they realized they had made a mistake and reinstated my account. Then two years later I get a collections call for the same amount. And apparently I still owe that amount. After getting through to them, I am told that it was never removed from billing and therefore it went back to collections. Their solution was that I need to call them in a month and ask them to take the amount that I supposedly owe out of billing, So that it's not sent again to collections. This company is deceptive, corrupt, and whenever they can they create bills that shouldn't even exist in order to charge the consumer more money. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT CONTRACTING OR BUYING ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. THEIR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES WILL ONLY CAUSE YOU HEADACHES.

Here is a copy of the letter that I sent to the company DS Services. They also go by numerous brands throughout the country. Those brands all operated by the same company include: Alhambra, Standard, Athena, Belmont Springs, Crystal Springs, Deep Rock Water, Hinckley Springs, Kentwood Springs, Mount Olympus, Relyant, Sierra Springs, Sparkletts.

This is my third request online and my 5th request in total (2 attempts online and 3 attempts by phone). I need to have my service CANCELED. I called customer service, been put on hold for (literally) hours and I am not willing to waste anymore time trying to reach you to cancel my service. If you are unable to cancel my service without discussing it with me, please contact me as soon as possible.

In addition, I want to make you aware that the reason that I am canceling my service. My driver has practiced predatory practices in his operations. First, we signed up and desired to have service once per month for a total of 4 bottles. When he arrived to deliver the first bottles and the dispenser, he said, "do not worry, your bill will reflect delivery twice per month, but do not worry, I will only deliver to you once a month."

He then started delivering twice per month and usually did not deliver on the day that he was scheduled or the day for which I received a telephone reminder. He would often come the day before or the day after, thereby leaving empty bottles for me that I needed to carry the cost of on my account.

Finally, I called to have the over-delivered bottles returned and the empty bottles returned and he proceeded to pour out the full and still sealed bottles of over delivered water onto my front lawn saying that he was not allowed to take them back. This is contrary to what I have been told by 3 different customer service representatives.

Just now, after being on the phone for nearly 30 minutes, I was being transferred and on hold to speak to someone that could cancel my account and after waiting and waiting and waiting, I got a recording saying that the call center was now closed.

I cannot and will not repeatedly spend hours on end trying to cancel my service with you. I expect a credit on my account for the bottles picked up today. 4 FULL bottles and 4 EMPTY bottles. Once the adjustments are made to the account I will pay the proper remaining balance.

I will post my experiences online and warn about predatory practices at your company if this matter is not handled.

Please notify me by phone and by e-mail that these matters have been taken care of and resolved.

Jim McDonald was a walk in salesman from DS services and we signed up for coffee and water with them back in october or November of 2014. By mid 2015 the coffee was not arriving on time and I asked to cancel services by july.

Jim complained that he would not recieve his commision if we cancelled within the first year. He said he would do what it took to make things right. Finally after nothing was accomplished I had to contact the headquarters for Crystal springs to cancel the services.

They sent someone to pick up the equiptment and then never stopped billing us. I kept calling Jim to try and fix the problem and crystal springs. Nothing seemed to work. I finally contacted American Express and blocked them from billing us.

3-4 months later they sent me to collections stating that I owed for 6 months in services and for the equiptment! I called Jim who was not willing to help in any way telling me that he has other oppointments and does not have time to deal with this.
