AVOID Dream Vacation Passport

As indicated in other reviews on this site, Dream Vacation Passport sells you a "lifetime membership" then harasses you FOR YEARS with phone calls threatening sending you to Collections for money YOU DO NOT OWE THEM! Note that they do not show a corporate mailing on their website or in ANY of the emails they send, they send no information up front indicating there are additional fees after the initial "lifetime membership" activation - yet they claim you owe them money even to "terminate" the membership.

And they work through multiple dummy companies with multiple phone calls/day to try to get you to pay to make it all go away. I paid one of these companies to "make it go away" and it didn't!

Like many people on this list I joined Cheep Trips which closed before I could use it. In 2013 I was contacted by Dream Vacation Passport with an offer that seemed quite good. I did not use their services for a year becaues I was not traveling. When I did need a place to stay, I could not find timeshare rentals in areas where I was going. The staff offered a lot of help showing me hotels but those were more expensive than places I could book on my own. They seemed very nice. When I was offered upgrades I accepted and paid for them. Later I was told that these updates covered fees. My last upgrade included fees though 2019.

When I realized I would never use this program, I stopped looking at the website. In 2016 I was contacted by John Sanders who said his company would take over my contract, remove my name from DVP and their related companies as well as renting out my weeks which would eventulaly repay my investment. I paid him a $687 leagal fee for this service and never heard from him again. For two years I did not hear from DVP so thought John Sanders had at least removed my name from their lists. However recently I started reciveing daily emails offering to renew my membership for fees varing from $29 to several hundred dollars which is strange since I am paid up until next year.

Two days ago I was contacted by Chris Roberts who told me his company BZ9 Mediation Boston had been hired to help people like myself who had bought DVP contracts but not used them. He had a lot of information about my financial relationship with DVP some of which was not quite correct but close enough. He said if I paid DVP $500 to buy out of my contract, the company that had hired his company, Premier Advertising and Marketing Group, would guarantee that my name would be removed from all DVP and related companies then they would resell my contract which he said was actually a good deal but under bad management.

While his offer sounded excellent, I was unable to find an online listing for the company that he said he was working for BZ9 Mediation Boston. Further while the company he said had hired him, Premier Advertising and Marking Group, has a website claiming to be the "One of the largest Marketing and advertising entiities in the industriey", it does not have a person answering their phones. As much as I would like to sell the contract, this seems like a variation on the offer made by John Sanders.

Has anyone found a successful way to recover money spent with this company?

Some time back in the day maybe 2003 or earlier, when I was young I signed up for CheapTrips Travel, which offered me all of these great travel deals with a lifetime membership fora one-time fee. Years go by and I forget that I ever had this travel club which I never utilized a day of the services that I had paid for. Along the way the name was changed several times and I was told that I had to pay $399 in order to access the website to get my great deals. Again, young and stupid....I paid and never used the "deals" because like everyone...we are always too busy to take one of these glorious vacations and I always managed to find my dream vacation cheaper elsewhere!!

I've received emails on and off in the past couple of years from Dream Vacation Passport stating that another company has stolen their list of clients and is using a similar name and is requesting money, but do not send money...contact them.

Fast forward to the year of 2017. I received a phone call from a "lawyer" named Kyle Bates from Consumer Advocacy saying that my account was flagged for not being used. He stated that he was representing thousands of people like myself, in a class action suit against, CheapTrips, DreamVacation Passports, My Travel Passport and was right on key with all of the information (like a true salesman). He stated he represented the travel industry and they were helping people get out of their contracts. He assured me that he would be able to get me out of the "contract" that I was in my Dream Vacation Passport, which would cost me, as an individual hundreds of dollars and countless hours with no guarantee Mr. Bates, stated that his company would 100% guarantee me that he would be able to get me back my $8000 along with any dollars that was earned by my vacation property being rented, until it was sold or in the next 18 months 100% guarantee. I just had to pay the $399 fee using the secured PayPal. I told him that I would think about it.

Well he went ahead and sent me the "contract" and when I did not pay, because I told him I had a family attorney look it over, we opted to just take my loss and never use my DreamvacationPassport. Mr. Bates stated that now I would be getting a letter from the IRS stating that I owe money for property I own, because it is a lifetime property. Well I have "owned" this property for over 15 years and never received any statements for taxes. Mr. Bates works for a company called Premier Advertising & Marketing Group, PAMG (877) 570-9220 premieraam.com mail:[email protected]

Two days later HELL began. I began receiving calls non-stop from various phone numbers, both 1-800 and from various states, but that all revert back to DreamVacationPassport though the caller states she is from the legal department of My Travel Vacation. The woman states that her name is Suzanne Baxter and that she is from the legal department. She is not affiliated with the company who attempted to obtain money from me in order to terminate my membership. Hmm, I never had calls from them prior to this pre-termination. I tried to terminate in the past and kept getting sent to the website that I could not access without paying a fee. Miss Suzanne Baxter has called me 57 times 6 days and has threated legal action against me, stating that, my case will now be forwarded to creditors for non-payment of fees. Really? It’s a lifetime membership, that I haven't paid fees on in years and now suddenly she is going to forward my I formation to creditors. Bring it on. I’ve printed out my phone records, I've made copies of her messages she left on my voice mail. I’ve blocked every number she has called from.

Make the calls Stop

WHAT A THIEF! L & A SERVICING dba DREAM VACATION PASSPORT IS OWNED BY A MAN NAME JOSEPH F. LATTUGA AKA "JOE DRAKE" HE CLAIMS HIS NAME IS "JOE DRAKE" AND THAT IS A LIE. JOSEPH LATTUGA IS THE PRINCIPAL AGENT FOR THIS COMPANY. HE HAS ALSO BEEN INVOLVED WITH OTHER COMPANIES THAT PREY ON THE ELDERLY SUCH AS TIMESHARE FOR CHARITIES, SUN TRAVEL, AND AMERICAN DISABLED VETERANS ASSOCIATION. TO KEEP IT SIMPLE THA MAN IS NOTHING BUT A LIAR AND A THIEF. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING FROM SPEAKING WITH SEVERAL EMPLOYEES THAT RECENTLY LEFT HIM, THAT HE DID NOT EVEN PAY THEM THE WAGES THEY WORKED FOR. HE IS PROMISING " FREE" AIRLINE TICKECTS TO NEW MEMBERS OF HIS TRAVEL CLUB, AND THE THING IS THE TICKETS DO NOT EVEN EXIST. HIS SALES PEOPLE CALL MEMBERS AND OFFER TO TRANSFER THEM INTO HIS CLUB, BUT THEN A MONTH LATER THEY CALL BACK FOR MORE MONEY OFFERING TO "UPGRADE" THEM. THE MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS ARE ELDERLY THAT ARE JUST CONFUSED AND DO NOT REALLY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. WHATEVER YOU DO...DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY!!!
