I hired Dominion Process Servers to serve documents to the Brampton Courthouse for me. They took my money and promised to file the documents the next day. After a week of calling and emailing Dominion I have not received any contact back or confirmation the papers were filed. I managed to get through to the courthouse and they advised that no papers were filed. SCAM ALERT!! Do not support this company!!!

Do not use Dominion Process Servers!! Andrew Hainsworth is a disgrace to the human race, preying on the vulnerable and a complete fraud. I hired Andrew from Dominion Process Servers to serve documents to my former spouse, paid him for the service and court filing, claiming he would offer a discount if I paid for both service and court filing at the same time.

I even added a tip to my payment.

He drove over an hour to steal $130, and to take advantage of a person already going through the trauma of divorce. He claimed he served my spouse and would return to take the affidavit of service to court the following Monday. A few months later when I was financially ready to go to the next step of my application, I called him to file my documents and he tried to con me again by saying I could send money to them and they would pay the court! He also tried to tell me that I had not paid for court filing. I then learn from the court that my "process server" had not submitted my affidavit of service! After calling Andrew numerous times and getting voicemail, he ONLY responded when I threatened legal action, trying to scare ME for my tone - when he spent my money but didn't deliver and caused me more stress and financial loss! He made several promises of when he would come to file my documents - at one time asked me for a copy of the application. He has not responded to my phone calls since. His actions shall follow him.

The following details are a summary of what has happened, if you want more details you can inquire.

My name is Mike Cadotte and I live in Ottawa, ON, Canada. I have an ongoing legal matter in Family Court in Toronto, ON, Canada which is 4.5 hrs drive for those who don’t know.

I searched online for a process server in Toronto to serve a 14B Motion, file it at the court and send me an Affidavit of Service. I found a few places and requested quotes for their services. I decided to use Andrew @ Dominion Process Servers as they were competitively priced with the other companies, but they were the quickest and most responsive initially.

May 12, 2016 -> They sent me an invoice for $118.09 for their services which had to be paid in advance as they told me that this was industry standard. So on good faith I paid them via an Internet transfer.

May 14, 2016 -> I followed up with Andrew as I haven’t heard anything either way from him

May 16, 2016 -> I followed up with Andrew as I haven’t heard anything either way from him

May 17, 2016 -> Finally I received a txt message from Andrew that the other party had been served. So then I asked when will the docs be filed at the court, which Andrew replied “probably Thursday”.

May 19, 2016 -> WELL, it is now Thursday, and no update from Andrew

May 23, 2016 -> Still no update and Andrew has suddenly stopped responding to any email, txt and/or phone calls from me.

June 14, 2016 -> I still have not received any further contact or correspondence from Andrew or Dominion Process Servers. They still have not filed my Affidavit of Service and the 14 Motion with the Court and they continue to ignore my calls, emails, txts. I even had a family friend who is a process server in a diff’t city contact them via email requesting them to contact me to no avail.

In conclusion, they have NOT completed their services for which they were contract/hired, yet they have already received payment. The owe me $35+tax, but the worst part of the problem is that I hired them to deliver time sensitive materials to the court which have now screwed up my chances and my legal position in Family Court.

I needed to have someone served court papers for small claims court and after looking around on the internet I found Dominion Process Servers. I gave them a call and left a voice message and within an hour received a call back. I explained my situation to the gentleman I was speaking with and told him I only had the person's work address which he assured me was okay to use. I went ahead and emailed my court documents and received an email back right away asking for payment before they could proceed. I paid them through email money transfer and asked to be kept updated with everything. Well a week or so went by and I hadn't heard anything so I emailed them and did not receive a response. The next day I called a few times and left a voice message. A day later I received a call back from a guy named Andrew who said that my claim must have been served as he didn't have my paperwork there. He said he was going to follow up with the server and call me back. I waited a day then decided to call back with no answer. I called a few time and left a message. Finally I called again and Andrew answered saying that they were not served because the guy got confused and thought it was a house they were going to. I said no I told you from the beginning it was a business. He told me they would be trying again on the Monday as that was their fault. I waited until Monday evening to try and get an update to have no body answer again!! I have called at least 50 times in teh past 5 days and left several messages and emails to have no one call me back and now the phone's are turned off. I googled the address they have in Toronto and went there to find that the business name on the door is something completely different!!!

This company is a scam! They take your money then stop contacting you!! No one should use these people!!! I know I will never again use them and have already made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!!! I hope these scam artists get caught!!!!

I have been dealing with Dominion Process Servers since last week Monday (August 24th). I wanted to have a document served on my behalf and was told the process takes maximum one week and would cost me roughly $70. It's been over a week now and the document has not been served. I called Andrew and he was so unwelcoming and disrespectful with his tone and entire demeanour. I asked him how is it that the process is taking longer than a week, he asked me for the name so he could look up the file, after being on hold for 10minutes, he comes back to the line to tell me he's not seeing the name on file. How much more unprofessional can he get? Then he says, he will call the process server to see what the hold up is, so he'll call me back within 30mins. two hours elapsed, no call. So I took the initiative again and called back to ask what's the status, he says he hasn't heard from him and he will call me when he does. Being fed up, I asked him for a refund because he is in fact in breach of our contract to have the paper delivered/served within a week for the amount I paid. He was rude with his response saying I have no choice and I can do whatever I want to do but there are no refund options available. Basically, they expect you to sit and wait until they fulfil their obligation regardless of how important this is and however long it will take them to do the job. Andrew is extremely unprofessional and needs to either be on the back page and have his representatives speak on his behalf or some option but him being the main receptionist isn't a good cover for the company because he is very condescending in his tone and his choice of words. I would never dream or think to recommend the company to anyone, sad to say.

Dominion Process Servers (D.O.M.) runs a professional website stating that they offer Court Filing Documents (Process Server) and Skip Tracing Servers. They claim they are Police approved.

We contacted Dominion Process Severs as they appeard at the top of a Google Search for the Toronto, ON area.

They stated that they can do a Skip Trace for $150 and another $49.50 to deliver Court Documents to the subject when located.

The total for their scam was 0+HST and an additional $49.50+HST (Total $225.44).

Their website states Credit Cards can be used however the contact person ( Andrew), said that they only accept E-Transfer as payment.

Within 24hrs of giving them the details of the Subject for the Skip Trace, Dominion Process Servers (Andrew) constantly was in constant contact by Email, Phone, Text Message and urgently wanting me to pay immediately.

They claim that they can get you Skip Trace information and within 24hrs of contacting them, they say "the Subject was located. Please make the payment immediately so we can release the documents".

The moment the e-transfer is completed, the contact with Dominion Process Servers stops immediately. They do not provide any information and the communication immediately stops. They do not answer emails, phone calls or text messages. No information or documentation is provided in regards to the service they said they did.

Researching this online, this company has been actively operating in the GTA running this exact scam to other individuals including Lawyers who contracted their services. There are hundreds of reviews from people all over Canada and the USA that have used Dominion Process Servers and the results are all the same. The moment they convince you of their service and accept the funds by Interac E-Transfer, the communication stops.

It is Petty Theft and they will never get back in touch with you once the money is in their pocket.

The scam ranges between $150-$250 which in the scheme of things is relatively small. The majority of the victims are either too embarassed about the situation or the amount lost is just not worth reporting.

These scammers are taking advantage of Paralegals, Lawyers and other individuals who are in need of having a Skip Trace or Court Documents Served.

Their fictious "Police Approved" company is nothing more than an internet Scam. If you Google Map the addresses, they change frequently and are run out of Condos and Apartments.

I call Dominion Process Servers and spoke to Andrew Hainsworth on Nov 30th. He arranged for one of his drivers to come by and pick up my package, i paid them and waited for over 1 week to check if the package was served. It was not served, I have been calling ever since and only once that Andrew picked up the phone and told me he will check and called me back. It is now 16 days later and my package has not been delivered. You are unable to get a hold of them, no one will call you back, no one returns emails. I have sent approximately 25 emails, left 30 plus voice messages and still no one has call me back. I think they are pulling scams on innocent people. This business is supposed to operate from a place of trust and honesty. Dominion process server is very dishonest and they rip people off like common thieves. Seriously, why bother do this if you are not doing it for the right reason. People's lives are at stake here. this is not fun and joke.

Board-line fraud and a ripoff

I had court documents that needed to be served to the other party, and i found dominion process servers. I had questions and the man that i had spoke to gave me answers. I then proceed to send them my documents via email and they email back telling me they had received it and now comes the payment process. He told me once they receive the payment via e-transfer my papers will be sent out to be served. About 15mins after i received an confirmation and a receipt via email and was told that they will serve it the same day friday nov. 27.2015. I waited till monday to call and find out the status of process, and the same man told me he would find out and let me know. I called everyday to find out if it had been served and didn't get an answer. Finally friday dec 4, when i call and was really mad. He gave me an answer, the papers were finally served on dec 4 and it took long because they couldn't get a hold of the other party. Which i don't believe is the case. Now for my affidavit, i haven't heard a word from them. My many attempt to call and i get no answer or a call back. I'm still waiting for my affidavit.

Please do not use dominion process servers for any of your processing documents!
