I had a letter that I needed to get from Mexico to the US Social Security administration in one day. I used DHL with a guaranteed delivery. So, they took about $50 for the delivery, took the letter, and got it to Cincinnati for DHL delivery to Pennsylvania. It delayed in customs a few hours, and then instead of delivering it - they put it on a plane to Leipzig Germany, and it got stuck in German customs for a weekend.

Then Monday, they put it on a plane to New York, where it got to go through customers again and it finally got delivered 4 days after sending - on an overnight service. They promised a refund. THEY F*CKED ME - they offered the equivalent of $8 of credit. DON'T USE THEM - THEY ARE INCOMPETENT and LIARS.

I shipped a new carry on bag containing personal effects to my house in THAILAND via a new DHL account. I opened an account with DHL USA. Completed all shipping and export forms on line and dropped off the bag with paperwork at an authorized DHL EXPRESS DROP OFF (Plantation, FL). The shipment arrived in THAILAND in about a week.

I was notified that THAI CUSTOMS had issues with this personal shipment containing my personal effects by DHL THAILAND. After several days of calling DHL USA and asking them to intervene on my behalf, which they did not, I called DHL THAILAND myself and asked why the carry on bag was impounded by CUSTOMS.

They informed me the shipment contained vitamins soap aspirin and my wife's cosmetics. These items were considered dangerous thus substantial duty charges would be imposed (thousands of dollars). It was readily apparent DHL THAILAND had no interest in helping me resolve these administrative issues with CUSTOMS.

DHL THAILAND never even visually inspected the bag! This was a shipment with no inherent value. It contained my personal items that I use while traveling. I had to come to a determination for cost reasons that they luggage had to be destroyed since DHL THAILAND would not assist me resolve a simple routine transaction with CUSTOMS.

Even more disgusting was DHL USA would not help me either. They blamed DHL THAILAND and they blamed CUSTOMS. What a bunch of idiots! DHL employees are not professionals. They collectively lacked empathy, courtesy and mutual respect. DHL USA wants to bill me now for freight services for a shipment that was destroyed in transit for their lack of competency in the international freight business! This is so embarrassing! What morons!

I was sent a phone last week as gift for Valentine's from a friend,i was sent the tracking number on the very day he made the shipment.I have been tracking it since until it get to this week,was suppose to receive my package today been Tuesday but to my amazement I was seeing clearance event when I tracked so I don't quite understand what it means so called customer care and was told my phone has been held by NDLEA, I thought it was a joke until I was sent s message on my mail to bring some requirements or go to NAHCO,where ndlea office is in which i did today, I got to their office and they were asking me uneccssary questions In which I later found out they wanted money or bribe rather , even checked the phone I was holding in my hand, asking me what I want to use two phones for?? Imagine eventually they told me to go print out the necessary requirements which I did and went back to them all for one of them to tell the receptionist not to let me in the office that I should go and mail it to them, they will look for a way to sort it,i was angry and I told her I won't leave cos that phone was paid for and now that I have everything they asked for they are looking for other ways to side line me.

This country is making me sick, this is what you to make someone become wicked for no reason.What is NDLEA doing with an iPhone package, is it drug related? And DHL is not doing anything about it, and it's spoiling their name, this phone came from New York and passed through all trade country's custom I Eva had issues, e reach Niger e hang.people have been complaining about this ndlea people and DHL is doing nothing about it. There job is not to withheld anybody phone or electronics cause is not drug related,its annoying after waiting for a week for something to get to you, something that has been paid for small you get is b*******. Something should be done about this, am losing my mind overhere

I sent a package with DHL on the premise that it would be delivered in 1 business day. The package contained scientific material for analysis in Germany, which was the result of months of tedious scientific research. Now it is sitting in a container in Leipzig in Germany for 3 days. Weekend has come and they tell me deliveries are prioritized and it has to wait..!!! I paid for it to be delivered in 1 day...This is complete nonsense and customer service is not helping... I request full refund on delivery and damage they made on scientific research paid by tax payers money.... I don't suggest DHL for anyone...

I went to Dubai and bought some stuffs for my business. I took everything to dhl office and the package was weighed and I was given the price to pay in cash, which was a little over $2000, I complained bitterly about the rate sincere my dhl agent in Elizabeth Nk, told me the more the weight, the less the charge per kilo. The agent then advised me to use my dhl account to get a better rate, which I did. I returned to the Usa and await my package. Alas, Dhl went ahead and charged my credit card for 319.50kg. The package was weighed in my presence and it was 200kg. How did it end up 319.50kg. I called Dhl billing and made a complain, the agent told me to call my rep in Nj. I called him more than 8 times over a period of 3 days and left him messages. He never called me back until this moment. So I resort to sending him emails, which he finally replied and said he will work on my dispute. Meanwhile, dhl sent me an email that the case has being closed without issuing my refund. I still have the packages in my store, clearly printed on by dhl as 200kg. Yet, dhl rip me off and charged my account for 319.50kg.
