My autistic daughter came to me after being separated from me at the Del Amo Mall and told me that she had been approached and pressured by a salesgirl at Dermalactives to buy almost $500 worth of elastin & collagen skincare that she does not need at 18 years of age. My daughter, being autistic, does not possess the faculties or emotional maturity to withstand such unnecessary sales pressure, therefore, she spent almost $500 of her financial aid money for college on Dermalactive skincare. When I immediately requested a refund for her with her credit card, I was given the distributor's phone number and called him.

The Dermalactives distributor refused to refund my autistic daughter’s money. I am disgusted by his greed, lack of ethics and a conscience. Below is my daughter's complaint:

I was approached in Del Amo Mall by a Dermalactives sales girl. I felt very pressured and uncomfortable but since I have always had trouble saying no to people I impulsively agreed to pay the ridiculous price of $473.

I now realize what a mistake that was considering I am only a freshman in college who doesn't work and has to rely on financial aid. It was only after they tried to push a &750 under eye collagen product on me that I desperately begged them to stop. I have always been taken advantage of like this. People know I'm an easy target and I have trouble thinking things through. I feel like these girls and this company have deeply wronged/scammed me.

Just Dont

Saw them at a conference. Very pushy. They work together also on their scam. Bought one product yet was not charged the correct price, had me sign while trying another product so I couldn’t see or pay attention to the bottom line. My fault of course. Saw the receipt as walking away and returned right away. They told me all sales are final and they are pretty sure they told me that... not. Gave me the run around, didn’t have permission to give me a refund. I stood there telling anyone who would listen of what happened to me. Finally all of a sudden they were able to give me a full refund. I learned a lesson but would like to keep others from making the same mistake.

I was attending a Medical Conference(ASE) in Nashville, TN this past June. Unfortunatly I made the mistake to enter the booth of this company DERMALACTIVES SKIN CARE. These people are apart of the Isarealy Skin Care Scam which is a national scam from store fronts to to Liosks in Malls. They lour you in by the "FREE" sample of moisturizer. Once you sit in the chair that is it your trapped!

For me I was put in a low stool with one male to my right the other in front of me while a table was to my left. Trapped! I stated I only had a few mintutes to listen to their sales pitch on the proctuct and then I have to leave as I was on a short break to eat lunch....40 minutes later I was extremingly aggitated as I kept stating I need to leave I am not at all interested. They did not listen to my request. With continued demands/ requests to leave I am not interested the one sales person David was putting cream after cream on my hand and this wrickle eye gel under my eye after I told him I did not want anything on my face. He showed me photo's of "OTHER HAPPY CLIENTS" from his cell phone. I asked him where he got the pictures from he stated, Oh, they are recent pictures of customers... which is a violation of privacy, I'm quite sure none of these "Happy Customers" are even aware they are being used for advertisement of their SKIN CARE SCAM.

So, thinking to myself how am I going to escape this aggressive unprofessional, disrespectful behavior towards a woman, how am I going to leave this entrapment sitting on this low stool. I asked about a return policy, I WAS TOLD BY DAVID, "ABSOLUTLY YOU CAN RETURN ALL THE PRODUCTS FOR A FULL REFUND" then I asked what the cost was, he said $2,350.00 for all this merchandise and he even threw in extra products. I said I WAS NOT INTERESTED as it was way too expensive and I'm in the middle of a house renovation. Of couse the word "NO" was not being understood... his aggressiveness was stronger and intimidating. I was getting more aggitated because DAVID WOULD NOT LET ME LEAVE THE BOOTH! So, I said yes, knowing I could/would be able to return these products.

Here comes the "LIE and SCAM" I gave the other guy to my right my Chase Visa CC'd, he swiped the card and a receipt poppped out of the little tiny device, David then was holding another devise looking like a Blackberry and stated to sign in the box on the small screen, I asked what am I signing, I wanted to READ what I was signing and he refused to let me read the devise telling me it is the signature for the credit card and understanding the warrenty for this Hand Held Medical Device "Perfeccto" and skin care cream for the return, not to worry. He attached his business card to the reciept. Neither receipt given had ANY RETURN POLICY on it. NOTHING! It is illegal and a national law that ALL RETURN Policies need to be on the recept. I did find out I have/had 3 days to return the products from a medical conference. This is a law!

The next morning I opened the email from this company DERMALACTIVES DBA: MEDILAZER a "LINK" webpage to go onto to read the return policy and in BIG BOLD WRITING IT CLEARLY STATED "NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS" although, in small writing it did state some returns are on a case by case policy.

I immediately put the merchandise into a box and shipped it to the Medi Lazer address on my receipt in North Miami. Signed and excepted by a representative of this company.

2 weeks went by, I called the CS number on this same recept and the girl transferred me to a mobile phone connected to Las Vegas, which a male answered with a heavy accent. (As of this day he no longer works for this company) Dealing with the manager Gal Shalvi of Dermanalactives DBA: GS INNOVATIONS made me believe I was getting my refund. After multiple conversations and stopping my payment to CHASE advising them I was scammed, a credit was given back to me. After a letter to Chase from the manager a letter of lies, CHASE gave the money back to the merchant.. completely ignoring all my proof of being scammed and not owning any products. I have nothing!

To this date CHASE VISA took the side of the merchant, Gal Shalvi wrote a letter stating I purchased this product in his booth at the ADA Show in Orlando on the same date I was in Nashville, TN. The products according to the merchant was sent back to me at my home address and refused the box. Fed Ex shipped this box 25 days after the merchant recieved it in Miami to another address the merchant gave to them. So I am out $2,350.00 and do not have the products. CHASE VISA said this is my problem between the merchant and FED EX... I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, soon with the FBI and BBB.

I asked several times for this merchant to give me back my money.... thinking they might have soul to return stolen money back to someone who really needs it.

Dermalactive

The same exact thing happened to me in Las Vegas, NV at Lola Soap. They ask for a minute of your time which turned into about an hour if not more and they are VERY aggressive. I also felt the only way out was to purchase the product and be on my way and then return it as they also told me I could return it if needed. I tried returning it they wouldn't accept it back and I tried fighting it through my credit card who also would not return my money since at the bottom of the receipt it does State no refunds although they told me I would be able to get a refund. This is the biggest scam ever. They trap you and are very aggressive and pretty much make you by the products in order to leave.

Worst skin products I’ve ever used

I would give this company 0 stars if I could but unfortunately that’s not an option. So like all of you guys I got pressured and scammed into buying LITERALLY 1000$ into their shit skin care stuff. I didn’t get a refund and when I tried to contact the guy that sold me them he ended up blocking my number. I figured what the hell I started using them since I literally had all of this stuff now and my skin broke out. Lol so much for luxury, my skin has never looked worst than when I started to use this stuff. So as of now I’m just trying to warn people on social media about these people and hope that they never have to go through what I went through. It’s incredible despicable how these people run their company. I seriously hope all of their scams catch up with them and they go out of business.

Worst Skin Products

This is a scam. They are all over the country selling their products. They hire sales people that are very good at talking a good story to hook you. As soon as I left their booth, I knew I was scammed. Beware..... do not buy Dermalactives. Their products don’t work at all!

Agressive Sales Associate and misinformation

Pretty much the same story everyone has shared-- was lured to their kiosk at the mall by a sales associate who seemed like he could not care less about his customer's opinions, or even making accurate claims about the product he was selling. David, with his rapid-fire sales spiel and thick foreign accent, seemed friendly and genuinely interested by testing products on my hand while asking small-talk questions like, "Where are you from? What is your skin care routine?" No exaggeration but I could barely get the words out and answer before he put another product on my hand to ask me again, "How does that feel?" and proceed to do it two more times after that. After seeing the instant results from the skin peel and the moisturizing cream, I asked if the cream contained SPF since he claimed it was supposed to protect the skin from the sun and other harsh elements which produces dark spots and wrinkling. He said, "Yes! It has SPF and all that other good stuff!" In my earnest attempt to get genuine interaction with this guy, I even commented about how effective he was in selling me these products because 5 minutes after sitting down at his kiosk, there I was handing him my credit card. Admittedly, I have a difficult time saying "NO" to pushy salespeople but David knew his game and played it extremely well by not ambushing his customer (me) with non-stop sales talk and product giveaways that, at first, sounds like a steal for but in retrospect is actually quite costly for someone like me with meager income. My advice is to stay the hell out of the way when you see the Dermalactive kiosk if you come across it because you WILL find yourself spending at least $142 unnecessarily for a vanity purchase!

P.S. I checked the ingredients of the moisturizing cream and nowhere on the packaging indicated the product contained any SPF ingredient.

Only buy from website

All kiosk set ups are actually third party vendors. They are not actually part of the Dermalactives company. When speaking with an actual Dermalactives employee, I was informed to only purchase their products from their website. She told me all others are third party and not representative of the true company.

By the way, I too have been scammed. When make a purchase in the state of Texas, at a mall kiosk, I had buyers remorse. I returned only two hours later and requested a return or refund and was told, "No refunds" with a smirk on his face. When I complained that it had only been two hours since my purchase, he simply said, "No refunds, sue me!" and put his hands up in the air. I am currently undergoing the steps of the law (Texas Chapter 39 Buyers Remorse Law) to receive some type of refund ($151.00).
