My name is Michelle and I just bought a puppy from Debra Bourassa on 8/26/17. I read all the negative reviews about this breeder and made the choice, after talking with her, to take a chance and buy a puppy from her. I was at first very nervous, especially after reading the reviews. My worries included sending a great deal of money transferred into an account of a person I did not know and not knowing if I would even get a puppy a few weeks later. Also, she does not take credit cards, so I worried about not having the protection of my credit card company to dispute anything that would arise. Despite all my fears, I moved forward with her and took a chance. My experience with Debra was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable about the Chihuahua breed and very friendly and professional. After paying for my puppy, I received not only pictures of my puppy but a couple of videos, as promised by Debra. I called her many times to check on my puppy, to see how she was doing and she never minded all the calls, she always was polite and professional. I received my little girl last Saturday and she is perfect. She is exactly what was described to me by Debra. I took her to the veterinarian yesterday and she is in perfect health. No flee's, No ear mites, No parvo, No knee problem's just a very clean healthy puppy. I am so relieved I bought a puppy from her despite my fears. I highly recommend this breeder.
Three weeks ago i bought a chihuahua from debra bourassa. I will start by telling you the day i sent her $3000 i decided to check the outscam. I found out she had many negative reports against her. So same day i called her and told her i had changed my mind and to please send my money back. She got very upset because i believe the outscam. She then said she would not give me my money back because i had signed the contract. I said nothing had been done yet so i did not see a problem. Then she stated she would only refund 30% of my money because i had a husband and she didn't. Of course i did not agree because i said that was not a reason for not getting my full refund.
So to make a long story short she ended up sending me the puppy. The day i got the puppy i noticed something wrong with her back legs. So i called debra and told her about the legs and she said the airlines must of dropped her and injured the puppy.
I took the puppy to the vet the following day and the vet stated she had luxating patellas and would probably need surgery when she would be a year old and the surgery would cost between 2000 to 2800 for each leg. After notifying debra she said the dog was find and continue to say the airlines must of dropped her.
So i told the puppy to an orthopedic vet. He told me the same thing and said the puppy was not injured she was born with that genetic problem. I sent the report to debra. She then told me to return the dog and she would send me a refund. Since i had no trust in her i said for her to send me the money first and then i would send the dog back. Of course she did not agree to that. So i asked her to give me half of the cost of the puppy since she had luxating patellas. Of course she did not agree. She said she would pay for 1300 for the surgery if the dog needed the surgery. I do not believe or trust her at all. She is a liar and a fraud. She should not be aloud to sell puppies anymore. She has cheated so many people and she is still aloud to sell puppies.
