Los Angeles Superior court Case # 08K17632

The plaintiff owens an apartment buildings located in Las Vegas NV.

Dadson provided washers and dryers that ran poorly and did not adequately clean and dry clothes placed in them.

As a result the tenants used laundromats instead, which caused the plaintiff to lose revenue.

The landlord filed a complaint for breach of contract naming Dadson as a defendant. During the trial six separate witnessses were examined under oath, and nearly 100 exhibits were intorduced into evidence.

At the conclusion of the trial, a jury of twelve persons returned a verdict: "We find in favor of the Plaintiff and against Dadson Washer Service Inc. and award the Plaintiff Damages.

Do not let this company push you around. They are CROOKS The contract will lock you into a ten year do nothing agreement. They are BIG RIP OFF'S!!! RUN

Dryers that don't dry. Some machines need up to three cycles to dry one load. In most recent incident, laundry was very moist and barely warm after running 40 minutes in 'normal' cycle. When offending machines are repaired, they aren't fixed. Lip-service on refunds, claims the checks are in the mail. Claimes checks are paid. When I call their bluff and ask to see a cancelled check with my signature on it, more bluff: they say I have to pay for the time to dig up the record they don't even have. When I confronted President on phone, he told me if I don't like their services, I should move. Building management has tried to get rid of them and find a more reputable vendor for laundry room facilities, but Dadson is holding them to their lease. No response to BBB complaint. As far as I can tell, their scam is to nickel-and-dime residents. They know it's not worth anyone's time or filing fee costs to file small claims action over laundry money. This is to report that Dadson Washer Service are deceiving operators. They had my 85 year old mother sign a 10 year lease with automatic renewals. In addition she was to be paid 55% of collection which she is not receiving. My mom recently had a Los Angeles Code Enforcement Inspector notify her that the laundry room was not permitted. The inspector wanted a permit or have the equipment removed. They did not want to hear about that, they just wanted to let my mother know they were their to enforce the Lease Contract.

Does anyone have any advise how to resolve this ?

Sign on the dotted line, and you will hate yourself in the morning...

This company Dadson Washer Service will sucker you into signing in 30 year plus lease. Ten years with many AUTOMATIC renewals, that only THEY can cancel. In addition, READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE BACK OF THE CONTRACT they will have the right to increase their "take" every year until you get NOTHING, NADA, ZIP. They will own your a*s!

They are not breaking the law, and make it so you agree to give them your money. Their lawyers have fine tuned their "standard" (or screw you lease which is a lopsided as a camel with a freight train on it) so it holds up the best possible way in court.

And keep in mind, that you have to assume that they are in fact giving you your share of the laundry income which even if they do you are still screwed. That's a big assumption with this outfit. A much safer way, is collect the money yourself by either leasing the machines at a fixed monthly rate (around $25.00 a month per machine) from a REPUTABLE company, or finance them to buy them outright. It's a bit of a pain to collect it yourself, but you will make a lot more money.

To make it short and sweet, I spent a brief time in an apartment complex where Dadson Washer Service maintained the laundry rooms, and their service and equipment was sub par:

The washers did a lousy job cleaning the cloths. I would have to run the dryer several times to finally have dry cloths, and on more than one occasion I had to take all my laundry to another laundromat. This was after having spent money using these old and run down machines.

I called the landlord who was very professional and even reimbursed me out of his own pocket but unfortunately his hands were tied. He asked me to contact the company Dadson Washer which I did and they were completely unprofessional and offered absolutely no help for this apartment complex.

I know from having spoken with many of the other tenants that everyone was very unhappy and going elsewhere to do their laundry outside of the apartment complex.

After speaking with the owner of the building, I was told he could do nothing with Dadson because Dadson had him locked into a 10 year do nothing contract.

This company should be ashamed of itself and I sincerely hope anyone who is a landlord and is considering this company reconsiders.

Dadson and its General Manager, Nick Yager, are unethical. Their business model appears to be based on what they think they can get away with.

They have a standing pattern of claiming equipment has been "repaired" or "works properly" when equipment cannot launder or dry a normal load.

When you call in to request a refund, they tell you to wait a month and never send it. When you follow up, they say they sent it on XX date. A week later, when payment doesn't arrive, they say the sent it on YY date. The next week, they give another date.

Between these ever-changing mailing dates and the fact some reported dates are business holidays upon which they are closed for business, it is blatantly obvious they are lying.

Given the chance to come clean and do the honest thing, they prefer to compound the lie and claim they've sent multiple payments and accuse users of "using them as a source of income". Yet they refuse to document or show cancelled checks (that they never sent) when their bluff is called.

Mr. Yager's 'solution' is to tell users not to use laundromat facilities in their building.

Dadson is unresponsive to building Management, tells them to have owners call instead.

If you own a commercial or residential business that requires laundromat facilities, avoid Dadson Washer Service Inc at all costs. Do not, under any circumstances, trust Nick Yager.

If you are a resident in a building with Dadson equipment, don't expect any refund when their equipment accepts your coins but doesn't do its job. You will likely have to get building management involved.

My building manager ended up havving to reimburse me out of petty cash when it became clear Dadson had no intention of sending the refund they had promised and owed.

Contract provisions state term of ten years, and payment of 50 percent of gross collections from coin washer machines they placed on my rental property.

1. They made payment for the first few months then stopped.

2. They will NOT let you cancel or remove their machines per their "terms or conditions" which is in fine print on the back of the contract... and which automatically renews every ten years unless you send them a letter, certified return receipt, requesting cancellation.

Misleading contract having the material provisions on the reverse side.

This company should be shut down and investigated for their business practices.

Run away!!!! Run away!!!! Dadson Washer Service are a bunch of crooks. Beware of their friendly nature until they have you in a contract. They will then show their true colors. All they want is your money every month for as long as they can get away with extending your contract.

A 5 year contract will turn into a 15 year contract if you are not careful. There is no negotiating, just a dial tone, that is after they hang up on you. They don't care if you are loosing your building, they don't care if you are loosing money and they don't care who signs the contract, including a tenant. Crooks!!!!

There are plenty of honest services out there. Do not sign anything for Dadson Washer Services!!!

Dadson Washer service is in business to cheat anyone, who signs their lease.

It's the family tradition. They promise 50% of gross of machines and a quarterly accounting for a 5 year lease. EXPECT NOTHING.

It is now 15 years-never saw any accounting, total amount paid =$50. for 15 years. Refused to release the laundry room and threatened my physical well being if I didn't cooperate. The are professional crooks.

Buffer/Manager N. Yager laughs if you claim you have not been paid and says he will look into it and that's the end. Owner Rod Goldberg never or rufuses to speak to any client. They are in business strictly to scam apt. owners into signing contracts that will last for eternity. Their pride is in getting old people, who are ill and close to dying to sign; I can verify this.

Dadson Rep. Larry Diamond told me. "You get nothing and don't ask for money or you will be sorry!"

Take heed: DON"T DO BUSINESS WITH DADSON WASHER SERVICE or you will be sorry like I am.

"You get nothing and dont ask us for money or you will be sorry."

I own an apartment building. After I have signed the washer/dryer lease with Dadson Washer Service with their Sales Representative, Larry Diamond, the wahser/dryer were installed. Their servicemen collected the coins and Dadson Wah=sher Service reported the commissions and said they would send the checks out. After 3 months, the checks never come. I called Larry Diamond to follow up. He said he doesn't do checks and referred me to Linda and Jessica in the accounting dept.

I spoke with Jessica multiple times. She said she will leave messages for Linda to call me. Linda never called. By luck, I did get a hold of Linda once. She confirmed that she had the checks and was sending them out overnight. That was 2 weeks ago. I follow up with calls to Linda. She didn't pick up the calls. I talked with Jessica. Jessica said Linda is busy in a meeting. I called Larry Diamond, the sales rep. Larry said he doesn't do checks. I called jessica again. she said Linda is busy and asked me to leave her a message. Of course, I did. Linda never returned my calls. What makes her retunr my call this time ? So, I have gotten a bunch of running around and a lot of time wasted shasing my commission checks.

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY, DON'T DEAL WITH DADSON WASHER SERVICE !!!

A Past President of our condo association signed up with them in 2007. Since then we have had a lot of problems with their washers and dryers which don't work properly. Periodically one or the other, sometimes both stop working after people have put money in them.

When someone calls for a technician to come and repair, they don't send anyone unless the President calls . The technician is usually not a very good one, because the machine breaks down again and again. They keep saying that it's because of our electric panel so we called an electrician who tested everything and found it ok. Dadson had to pay us back for this, then they find other excuses for their non-functional machines.

We have been trying to get out of the lease, but they have a tightly written one with very small print which undoubtedly the person who signed did not read. Our attorney is trying to get us out, it's costing us $$$$ but they have 2 five year options and they want us to pay them a ridiculous amount in order to cancel the lease. Please NEVER EVER sign up with them unless you want nightmares.
