On November 5, 2017 I was approached by a Direct TV saleswoman. She offered me a speciously better deal than the one I was getting with Spectrum, so I submitted a $20 deposit using a credit card. When I got home, I discovered that the deal was far less than what I am getting with Spectrum, so I telephoned Direct TV to cancel. Direct TV told me that they could not refund my money, but they gave me a number to call. I called that number and was given another number to call. From there, I was given, still, another number to call. I notified Walmart's corporate office. The Walmart lady was also taken around in circles. After wasting over 2 hours, I finally notified my credit card company. Now, I'm waiting for them to investigate & cancel the transaction. Never sign up for a TV service at a place like Walmart or Costco.

My Dance with Devil Corp aka DS-Max aka Cydcor... I am one of the lucky ones that got out before I could actually get in. However, I felt compelled to write this report in order to prevent anyone else for wasting their time and possibly getting ripped off by Cydcor and its many affiliate companies. In case you aren't familiar with Cydcor, I suggest you google it and I'm sure one of the things that you will see is the word scam. Cydcor is supposedly a marketing and sales firm that does out sourced sales and marketing for major fortune 100 and 500 companies. The major brands they work with are T-Mobile and Quill (which is owned by Staples). This company owns several affiliate branches that advertise on job boards such as Monster.Com, Career Builder, Glassdoor, and Craig's list. The job advertisement will offer Entry Level positions in sales and marketing with a promise of company advancement, competitive pay and a fun work environment with no previous experience and comprehensive training. The ad as well as Cydcor's little underlying a will tell you that everyone who joins the company starts at Entry level (the bottom floor) and works their way up to running their own branch and running their own campaign within 2 years. I've been really unhappy at my current position and have been actively looking for a new job in several different fields. I stumbled upon two adds that were similar on Monster and Career Builder. Both ads promised internal promotions, training and a career in marketing with no experience. Because I was seeking a career change, I sent my resume and thought nothing of it. Within a day I received callbacks from both companies. The first company I'm not really sure if it's a Cydcor affiliate, but the guy who interviewed me was spouting the same b.s. the woman from the second company did during my interview with her. I'm pretty sure they are both under th Cydcor umbrella but I can't be sure if Reach ATL is one of them. However, I do know this company wanted us to peddle coupons for cheap Atlanta Braves tickets. It was a door to door sales job but I'm still not clear what exactly I was going to be doing since the guy was extremely vague. He kept going on about how much money I could make in a few months, chances to travel and being a part of his team. That sent up a red flag because I heard this before at a World Ventures recruiting meeting I got tricked into going to. After a brief interview that really wasn't an interview I got a second interview and on my second interview I was offered the job. The guy promised to get back to me but i never heard from him again. I guess he had a change of heart about potentially ruining my life. The second company is a definite affiliate of Cydcor. Polaris Marketing Group in Atlanta. Please beware. This company is full of s***. I came in for an interview after receiving a brief call from the office manager. There was one other person their before me. We were asked to wear business professional attire. The first person had on a Maxi dress and flip flops. I remember the secretary person complimenting her on her painted toenails while drawing us into casual conversation. When the girl was called in for her interview, the secretary began asking me questions . One of the questions at the time seemed innocent, but in hindsight I can see that she was actually casing myself and the other person waiting to be interviews. She asked me if I owned a lot of suits and where do I get them from. After a brief 10 minute interview, I was asked to come back in for a second intervie which was a job shadowing day. On the day of my shadow day interview, I arrived a little early and could hear loud music and chanting in the back before everyone moved into another room. All of the employees were dressed in business professional attire. Or struggling attire because some people didn't seem to know what business attire is. Anyway, my day consisted of me going out in the field with one of their reps about 30 minutes away in Douglassville which should be called west bumbf***, GA. It's a small little town 30 minutes from Atlanta in her territory. And as we circled the same streets over and over again talking right turns, the girl I was shaddowing kept trying to convince me that it's a big town. We stopped at these small mom and pop businesses trying to get people to sign up for A Quill account. Quill is a large online retailer for office supplies that is owned by Staples. Basically she would get people to create an online account and put in an order for printer paper at the low, low, price of $27 a pack or toner that is much more expensive than toner priced at SAMs or Walmart. We drove around for hours circling these same small business that have no need for office supplies in bulk. Everyone we saw told us they weren't interested because they can get their supplies at a cheaper rate at other stores. We also spent time dropping off Quill thank you cards and hand sanitizer as a thank you for signing up. By the way, signing up for Quill is as easy as a simple google search that could have been done on their own without any assistance from a sales person. After being turned down by every business we visited or being brushed off by others, we went to Fire House subs for lunch so we could discuss the compensation scale. It's 100% commissions with no base pay and you only get your comission if you meet your sales goals. Which means if you don't hit your target you will not get paid. That means you will have worked 10 hours 6 days straight for free. However whatever sales you do make, your team leader will still get 10% and their leader will get 20%. So everyone will be getting paid but you. So, the girl I'm with tells me you start off in training, then entry level and that's when you might get a $200 bonus for completing training. She was unsure if that was held until you went from entry level to the next level in which you are "promoted." At this level you are responsible for training others, creating your team by recruiting the new hires from the job shadow day and doing the shadow day interview in which you observe the potential sucker and decide if they are a good fit (at this point whether you're a good or bad for the position you'll probably be hired because they need bodies to keep this operation going). The next level is management. At this level you get to hang around the office for 2 days making 75 bucks for those days, going out into the field, learning office admin and HR stuff. His role only lasts about 3-4 months before you are "promoted" again to owner in which you get to have your own scam company and build your own team of shmucks to do your bidding. At this point of the interview she lost me. But I feigned interest out of politeness and decided to keep going with the itnerview. The structure she drew out for me was a pyramid scheme plain and simple in which the guy at the very top creates his branches and each branch creates their own branch funneling the money to the guy at the top. Eventually someone will end up at the top, but I doubt any business owner makes anywhere near the 75-100k the girl told me her boss made. Lies. Cydcor has POA over these affiliates and controls the bank accounts. The manager isn't making money. The company is making the money. Afterward lunch I wanted to run for the hills, but I got into the girls stale smelling car and kept going. After stopping at an auto body shop that had two employees in a small stuffy room with card tables as desks, two laptops, a single file cabinet and one lone HP printer, I had had enough. The girl was trying her hardest to sell them paper and toner when clearly this was a very small operation with little use for any office supplies. She couldn't even pull up Quill on her outdated iPhone because her internet wouldn't load the page. Mine worked fine and I tried to help because i was feeling embarrassed for the both of us. We left about 20 minutes later and I finally told her that this job wasn't going to be a good fit and I needed to get back to my car. She was good about taking me back after making one more stop that did not result in a sale. On the way back to the office we made small awkward talk like we had been all day and I split. Noting was that a complete waste of time, I also forgot my expensive leather folder in he car. I wish I could go into more detail about some of the other garbage she tried to sell me like the business trips to other rural towns and the team building activities every Thursday. Cydcor aka devil Corp has been likened to a cult and I believe it. The longer hours, bull**** campaigns with little payout and spending 10 or more hours at work per day for a pipe dreams sounds like a cult. Beware of Cydcor and if you are in the ATL area, beware of Polaris Marketing Group and Reach ATL.
