Cricket Wireless Reviews

  • Mar 8, 2022

I contacted Cricket in the last week of Feb, 2022 because I knew that Boost would no longer support my (fairly new) Samsung Galaxy S10e, which I had purchased from them. The Cricket representative ASSURED me that I would be able to use my phone and charged me $65.74 for the first month and new sim card. Less than 2 weeks later, with NO notice, I had NO PHONE SERVICE.

After an hour of tech support, I was told that my phone was incompatible and I would have to buy a new one! And what great deals they had! Bait and Switch - no thanks! I told them that this was fraudulent and unacceptable, and I wanted a refund. I was told "Sorry, no refunds." WOW.

I'm now with T-mobile (who told me upfront that my S10e wouldn't work) and I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company.

This is a long rant but it's true.

I hate Cricket, which means I hate ATT also but I always hated ATT. I had them for wifi Internet in Chicago for 19 years and for 19 years. I never had the data I paid for. I always had a weak signal, I always had buffering and totally dropped from the Internet on a regular basis.

When I did find the time to bother to call and complain they always found a problem outside my house in the back where the bundles of wires dangled from the poles and if I ever asked the tech what the problem was, they always blamed squirrels. Right.

In September I moved from Chicago to a very small town in Southern Illinois, thank God. Out here wifi is very spotty and I was prepared for this and knew it would be about 2 to 3 months to have them come out and install fiber optic cable. I made the mistake of buying Cricket's mobile hot spot for my home internet. I did not expect it to be great. I had read most of these hotspots have issues.

But I knew I needed something for a couple of months until my cable was installed. I was supposed to get 10 gigs per month and had the option of purchasing more data if needed. I ran out of data within my first 24 hours and I found that really strange. I used the net for emails, text and calls, and also streamed about 3 hours of TV each night but this does not equate to 10 gigs of data.

I called Cricket customer service the third morning when I had 0 data and this began a roller coaster, nightmare and for this I am quitting Cricket altogether including my phone after having their cell plan since 2016. I got different answers and suggestions from their phone reps and completely different info at the store level. Many times I just hung up and called back because the rep didn't have a clue.

After many calls the phone rep told me the hostpot is automatically linking to my cell phone and to be sure to turn it off because this was sucking up my data. I did that and my data would, again, be eaten up almost immediately. I called back and was then told by a different rep to turn off the hostpot while I sleep or not use it because it must be running itself in the bakground. I did this.

What I found was that after turning off the hotspot, it would turn itself back on in 30 seconds or so, and this was what was actually causing my data to dissappear. The only way I could preserve my data was to undo the back and pull out the battery and then it had no way of turning itself back on. Nice.

Well, this took a few weeks to figure out so I visit the store and they simply stated without any care or empathy: "you didn't purchase the extended warranty and it's been over two weeks so you're on your own." If I was going to use the hotspot indefinitely, I would have definitely purchased the extended warranty but I really thought that since I only needed an quick internet provider for no more than three months, the Cricket hotspot should be able to suffice. I assumed Cricket sold decent stuff that actually works. I had cell phone experience with them and their versions of cell phones are decent for the price point.

Instead The hotspot was defunct from the get go and if it was refurbished they did a great job of making it look brand new. BTW every time I needed to add data they would accept my money immediately wether through the app or on the phone but then I got connected to a customer service rep who would put me on and off hold and mumble a bunch of stuff, constantly thanking me for my patience while they finished processing my payment. Meanwhile I'm staring at their confirmation that my payment was accepted.

They said all these extra steps was to protect my account bla bla bla. I expected buffering and drops but I thought their device would work and that they would take care of a customer at the store level. Instead, they stuck to their guns and left me in the dust. All I asked for was for a new hostpot. I never even asked for a refund. And it was such a tacky, nasty experience that has left such a bad taste in my mouth that

I don't care that I lost 79.99 on a piece of defunct crap. I was going to go to the BBB but I called my bank to dispute the charge, got my money back and will happily end my relationship with Cricket (and ATT by proxy) forever. They're horrible at the most basic level. Good riddance. You won't go there if you're smart and read this entire rant; and it was therapeutic writing it.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE or deal with this craycray company! They sent me a broken phone, then refused to send a new one (because of some stupid rule that it HAS to be the simcard, which it wasn't), they refused to refund, and refused to send an RA. I had no phone at all as my number was already ported over so I had to go to the store due to the "robot people" on their online Customer Service chats or phone, none which is competent in the least. It went in a continuous loop off cliffs in outer space.

After the store got to see the usual incompetence of online customer service, they got an RA. Now the online refuses to send me a new phone, even though there is proof of UPS received. No one knows anything to escalate or do a da*m thing!! This is beyond ridiculous and I have filed with FCC. If there is a CEO that actually reads these reviews, they need to allow new phone from retail stores and reimburse them for the trouble your online bozo dept has caused.

On 8/7/2020, I purchased a new phone from Cricket Wireless at 4111 N Vermilion St Ste 8, Danville, IL 61834. Even though I have been with the company for years, they charged me a $25 "upgrade fee". The phone didn't work. The software on it was bad and I was not able to type any text on it, nor was I able to fix the problem in settings. The necessary paramaters were absent from the menu. I returned the phone the next day for a refund. They refused to refund the "upgrade fee" even though I was staying with my old phone and received no upgrade.

When I left a negative review of them on Facebook, they tried to "administratively handle" me with a cut and paste response. They wanted me to private message them. I told them that I would PM my account information to them, but that we would resolve the dispute in the public comments, where all of the customers could see. They blocked me from posting on their page and messaging them. I found out later that they had also added insurance to my account without my consent or knowledge. When I called their "customer service", (overseas) the guy did remove the insurance charge, MINUS a prorated amount.

I asked about the $25, and he said that he would have to transfer me to the warranty department. (?) That was a ruse. I was left on hold after being on an automated merry go round. When I called the store back a week later, they were hateful and nasty with me. I denounce the employees at the store, and CEO John Dwyer as a bunch of thieves. The American people need to start standing up against this corporate crap.

  • Jul 11, 2020

I called this sorry excuse of a company today to get assistance with my phone service because they changed an arranged payment date.

Instead of assisting I was met with I lost count of how many rude foreign call center reps who flat refused to transfer me to an American agent, no matter how many times or how plainly I said it. Whether they just don't understand plain English, they just wanted to bully and extort an American or Cricket doesn't hire Americans I don't know. I told them that I use my phone for my work and that their deceit was risking my job.

,I even had one of their rude agents tell me that she wasn't there to care about the customer, she was there to get the money and nothing else. That should tell you all you need to know about Cricket.

I placed an order for new service on a brand new account with Cricket Wireless. Their current promotional offer was for a Samsung A10e for the price of $9.99, instead of its regular pricing, if the customer ports in a new number to Cricket. I successfully did port a number from another carrier to Cricket Wireless.

After the number successfully ported out from my old carrier to Cricket, I received an order confirmation confirming the successful transfer and opening of my new Cricket account. But it failed to include the Samsung A10e phone I specifically ordered for $9.99 on the order. When calling their customer service I was advised that they cannot correct their error and send me the Samsung A10e for $9.99, as they promised before I ported my number to them.

I stated no to the manger on the phone he said he would buy my iPhones at cost 40.00 and make me buy new I phones at full retail why would I do that so far now refund on my service or phones but he did call the cops they tell me it’s a civil matter so I guess it’s go to court time buy the way I had to buy two new iPhones 400 each and get new service else we’re good way to spend 1000.00 and get ripoff. I’ll keep you updated on the court date and results.

Cricket: Hello! How may we help you today?

Cricket: Our agents are currently assisting other customers. Your approximate wait time is 4 minute(s).

Valeria G: Welcome to Cricket Nation! This is Valeria. How may I help you today?

Me: yes...I have had a horrible day. I have been dealing with Cricket since 8:30 this morning and I have talked to about 10 reps and supervisors, and I have HORRIBLY lied to and I'm very upset

Valeria G: Oh I am so sorry for that experience Denise, surely I will do my best to find a resolution for you

Valeria G: May I please know what's going on?

Me: omg...it's a really long story....think you might wanna try and look at my account and we can go from there....although, some of the notes may be completely false, if they're there at all.

Me: I've never had this much trouble or such dissappointment with Cricket since I've had ya'll's service, and it has me seriously thinking about stopping payment on my payment today and going to another carrier.

Valeria G: I understand your point Denise I am so sorry

Valeria G: Do you mind providing me with your phone and pin number to give a view to your account?

Me: my # is

Me: pin

Me: And yes you may look at my account and h elp me with it!!

Me: lol...been thru this spiel all day and know it well

Valeria G: No problem Denise

Valeria G: Now, can you please explain me with your words?

Me: When I tell you the entire SAGA...I'll try to keep it brief...but I'm serious when I say all day long....since early this morning. I have virtually no voice left, and a horrible headache, and my chest is hurting me bad.

Valeria G: Oh I am so sorry

Valeria G: You were trying to cancel 2 lines and get refunded them?

Me: ok....our debit cards were comprimised last month. We just received the new ones this weekend. So, I had to stop the auto pay when I was informed of them canceling our cards. I started getting texts about that my account would be suspended at 12 midnight on the 10th

Me: I've never gotten them before so, on Wed. Of this last week I called Cricket to see what the problem is

Me: because my husband is on SS and he gets his check the 2nd Mon. of every month and it's never been a problem before.]

Valeria G: And the autopay stopped, correct?

Me: I told the rep that my husband would get his check on Mon. the 11th by 10:30 am and would that be ok to pay the bill then without interuption...I was told that would be fine.....yes autopay had to be stopped

Me: As of last night at 12 midnight...my services were suspended. I called early this morning and of course, ended up talking to a supervisor, who told me that there were no notes on my account to that effect and that I, MUST HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD!!!

Valeria G: That means you paid in full?

Valeria G: and restored the services?

Me: I firmly and abruptly told him, NO, I DID NOT MISUNDERSTAND A THING, AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, BECAUSE i'D NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE.....hold on....there's more to it than me just paying in full.....trust me

Valeria G: The account got suspended and you paid all 4 lines

Valeria G: orrect?

Valeria G: c*

Me: He wouldn't hear it that one of ya'll's reps could have possibly failed to complete their job and put the notes on my account.....n e way....I also told him, that my husband and I had made the decision to drop two of the lines on our account , due to personal family reasons, and he said that until I brought the account current, I could make no changes on the account...which scared me

Valeria G: Denise when an account is suspended you'd have to pay in full to be able to restore it and make changes

Me: because i told him I did not want to make the full payment, have the 2 lines dropped to be told, "Oh sorry, but you can't have that money back"....we argued for about 30 minutes, and then our call mysteriously got dropped. I finally decided to pay the full amount and after I did, I called Cricket Customer care to make the changes and the very first thing the rep said to me was...."Sorry, but the charges are all non refundable and non transferable".....yeah....I WAS LIVID

Valeria G: Denise I understand you and I got your point and I want to apologize if you were missinformed before the suspendion

Valeria G: but the thing is that this information is correct

Valeria G: I want to explain the cancellation of a line will loose the financial info on this one

Me: After arguing for 30 minutes about all of that, and once again being told that I, "must have misunderstood", the Supervisor FINALLY told me that he could give me the money back, but it would be a credit to my account.....whichwas not told to me before and I don't know why

Me: And, I'm going to ask you to please read all the notes and you will see that there is a supervisor that told me he would credit the money to my account....because I finally got hold of another supervisor, after being disconnected again, who told me that those notes were on my account

Valeria G: I understand you Denise

Gave a whole lot of money to this company, including a Hotspot service. When I got home, I tried using the hostpot. My service was redirected to a clone of the orignal hotspot name, labeled my hotspot name followed by number 2. Whenever, I would click off and back to my original hotspot name, the clone would not only remain, but redirect me straight back to it. Fun times.

I purchased a phone on Dec.20 Returned to the Store Dec.27. They told me it was 8 days. The day I buy the phone is a day lost. (not what the refund policy says) On Dec. 25 they are closed for business (you can't a business day you're not available for customer service). I have a defective phone and they don't want to exchange the phone. I was told to go the UPS Store let them inspect the phone then wait 2-3 days for my phone. I would lose more days and business without a phone. I prepaid for a month of service and that will now be altered because they don't want to honor their policy.

I talked to at lease 5 representatives. This call highly stressed me. They took my money, gave me a phone that don't operate correctly, ask me to lose service days and won't honor their policy.

If you thinking about going with this company look at MANY REVIEWS..AWFUL,DISHONEST AND THEY ARE PART OF AT&T UNBELIEVABLE.

I'm grandfathered into the cricket group plan which gives me a $100 discount each month but now they tell me that if i make any changes to my plan, which were allowed before that I will lose my discount and only be able to save $70 dollars. I never received any notification of this. I feel like this is a bad business practice from a huge public corporation ATT which owns Cricket. Please beware of Cricket wireless and ATT if you are thinking about there services and there ability to change their plans without any notification to its customers. While this maybe allowed in their small print it seems to me to be just one more way for the big corporation to take advantage of its smaller powerless customers.

Ive been with cricket goin on a year now there calling is fine except every once in a while it will make a fax sound and cut off. But the internet however is supposed to be 8 megs a second and ive inly seen that once, any other time its. 25 or less. I processed an insurance claim for my phone through cricket./Asurion. I was sent another device and began having problems while speaking on the phone. After days of not being able to heard I take the phone to Apple to get diagnosed they inform me the phone has a defective speaker and would cost $129 to fix or since it is a replacement device for the insurance. That the insurance company would need to assist me. The insurance company informs me that after 7 days the phone is warranted under the original plan through cricket. Cricket refused to send me to a supervisor. Didn't give me a name or number just transferred me over to a voice mail. Cricket warranty department team lead Nora agent Id 206258 says they cannot send me another phone because they don't deal with Apple products that I must go through Apple . She sent me to a voicemail and that's where the conversation ended.

I recently signed up for a family plan with Cricket wireless after using their Device Eligibility Check tool to determine which of our devices could be moved to the Cricket (AT&T) network. One the five devices checked, four were determined to by eligible to move to the Cricket network. A 5th device was determine to be incompatible with the network. Based on this information, I placed an order with Cricket for one new phone and four cricket SIM cards($10 each) to move the remaining four existing devices to Cricket. After receiving the SIM cards and new phone I initiated a wireless phone number port to move all five existing phone numbers to Cricket.

After a few minor hiccups, all numbers were ported and I installed the new SIM cards as instructed. One for the four existing devices did not come up on the Cricket Network, and I initiated a chat session with Cricket technical support to resolve. They were unable to resolve it and indicated that I needed to try the provided SIM card in another device. I did not have another device that supported this sim card size, so they indicated I would need to go to a Cricket store to have them test it. I did this, and there was nothing wrong with the SIM card. The rep at the retail location indicated that the phone may not be compatible after all, or that is was locked by Verizon. They suggested I go to a Verizon Wireless store to verify this. I did - Verizon indicated that the phone was not locked, but that if it was , there was nothing they could do about it in the store - I would need to call Verizon customer service. I returned home and contacted Verizon customer service online, and they confirmed the phone was not locked. Grrr.

I again contacted Cricket technical support and reviewed the case with them, including the retail store rock fetch that had cost me several hours. They had me try a number of other things with the phone, none of which resolved the issue. I requested a new phone (offered for FREE before I had moved my service to Cricket, but was told since I had already signed on with Cricket there was nothing they could do to fix this - I would need to purchase new phone from them, plus pay a $25 phone transfer fee, plus get no refund on the original purchased SIM.

Reviewing the sequence of events got me nowhere. I am now stuck at Cricket with a device that doesn't work on their network (despite) their original assertion that it would, and am paying for service I cannot use without shelling out more money. Before I was a Cricket customer, they offered me a free phone for this line. Now that I am a Cricket customer, they will not, despite their mistake.

My anticipated cost:

1. Pay off puchase balance for Verizon wireless phone Cricket indicated as eligible to operate on their network per IMEI check ($60)

2. Purchase Cricket Wireless SIM card for this phone ($10)

My actual cost:

1. Pay off Verizon Wireless balance for Verizon Wireless phone moved to Cricket ($60)

2. Purchase Cricket Wireless SIM card for this phone ($10)

3. Purchase another phone from cricket that would have been FREE is I had done it before I ported the phone number ($50).

4. Cricket phone "upgrade fee" of $25.00

5. Lose 5 days of service I have been paying for at $40/month but not receiving ($6.50)

PLUS the inconvenience of being without mobile phone service and the waste of ~4 hours visiting retail stores and talking/texting with Verizon and Cricket customer service.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this carrier and feel that their business practices are extremely dishonest. I've wasted hours trying to resolve this and will end up paying for something I shouldn't need to. Not the bargain it was supposed to be. If this is how the company treats a new customer, I can only imagine how much worse it will get from here on in.

Buyer beware.

I got a "no service" indicator on my phone. Saturday August 19 so I went to Cricket where they confirmed my account was paid, then reconnected to the tower or whatever. That took about 30-40 minutes. Today, the very next day, the same thing "no service". (Even 611 did not work) the store was supposed to be open at 11. At 12:20 there was still no one here. Now I'm back and they refuse to give me another phone. A guy just left that was cut off for $1.86 but if they cut me off when I'm all paid up they claim they don't owe me money. Don't do business with Cricket they are absolutely unacceptable.

My mother, 84 years old bought a prepaid cell and service; she did not like it. She wanted to return it at 30 days. Went home to retrieve cord but, it was too late. The next day she was unable to return phone, passed 30 days. She bought another Phone, this time a flip phone and services for that phone. After she charged it etc. that night the phone did not work at all.

The 3rd day we went back to exchange it. They would not exchange it. She went ahead and bought another; set up service for it in the store to make sure it worked. It didn't work. She asked for a refund but the manager refused. She canceled prepaid service. No refund on that. She left phones that did Not work at the store in anger. They smiled and said thank you.

The following month they charged her bank for prepaid services again to her account.

I called 7 times and visited all three stores in my area and went on their website and told them that my phone that I purchased in November 2016 was getting extreemly hot and the case was swelling up. I told them I was calling them on that phone and they kept placing me on hold. I finally got some women that sent me a shipping label but I expressed my concerns that shipping this back was like shipping a bomb. She said don't worry about it, wrap it in newspaper and place in a box and ship it. I called and stopped my auto pay but they withdrew the money anyway. I called and they said they will not refund my money and not having service makes no difference. I am out a phone and my money.

  • Apr 7, 2017

I tried to take my phone back to the store i bought it from. My receipt states i can return it within 7 days. I took it back in 2 days. They refuse to take it back or help with getting a new phone. The manager stopped helping to go out and smoke marijuana with his friend. Then came back in said he cant gelp go online and find out any information myself. I called every number i could on the 7th day i finally got ahold of a manager on a online customer service. All she could say is sorry there is nothing she can do go back to the same store i was disrespected in. I cant get a phone or my money back. Im sick and my kids are out of state i spent all that money on a service and phone i can not use.

Cricket stupid pain in the rear end hidden fees rip off wireless is prepaid wireless right? Wrong. Even though "technically" you are not on a "contract" they have some hidden fees that are a real pain in the butt if you get my drift here they are and if I were you I'd avoid them at all cost and never become their customer. Worst two plus months of my life. Are you a joke Cricket?

Reactivation Fee. A freaking fee on prepaid wireless what the?

Applies to payments received 2 - 29 days past your Cricket Pay Date. Pay within 24 hours to avoid this fee.

$5

Reactivation Fee. Again with the stupid fees? what part of prepaid don't they get? Avoid Cricket at all cost here. By the way AT&T owns this company bought it outright and merged it with AOI wireless. Some "cheap" phone company eh. Hidden fees up the wazoo and they don't care really. I'm reading blog after blog of complaints against them. I think we in the LC valley deserve better and should run these jerks out of town.

Applies if payment is between 30 and 59 days past your Cricket Pay Date. After 60 days, account will be permanently canceled and can't be reactivated.

Point is why don't they put this in the fine print right up front or better yet in their stores warning we charge fees after x amount of days if you don't prepay the next month or come in prior and lower your plan so we can make up the difference and "credit" your account for x amount of dollars? Because it would lose them customers and potentials left and right exposing the truth. What part of prepaid don't they get? I never signed up for any contract? I never put up with this from other prepaid wireless companies. Might just have to suck it up and switch back to the local carrier. So what they don't have unlimited data at least I had a phone to text and call with and some data avail not a lot but some.

They stole my money!! They rang up all kinds of wrong merchandise .. swiped my card and when we pointed it out the girl.. the manager there said it was "Store policy " not to refund my money. I never touched the merchandise or left the store with it and I told her I wanted my money back immediately. ! 10 days later I called and asked the manager why they still haven't refunded my money she said I left my stuff at the store and was welcome to come get it. I asked her what part of I want my money back she didn't understand?? They took my money and I never got any merchandise.. this is theft!! This manager should be arrested and I want my 133$ back!! What a rip off.. this is a crime!! How can this happen?? I left without my money or any merchandise and went to where they were very helpful and nice

I processed a 1 time payment for Cricket Wireless of $50.00 and they have managed to take out 7 payments all together of $50.00 a piece. I contacted my bank yesterday with Richard from Cricket Wireless on the line and spoke to a Manager by the name of Jess. Jess refunded my account the 6 payments that were not suppose to come out.. Between 3-4am this morning I received text alerts from my bank informing me that Cricket had taken the 6 payments again and causing my account to overdraw again.. I have been on the phone all morning with Cricket and my bank and each company places the blame on the other one.. I am now charged and overdraft, have no funds in the bank for gas to get to work and no one knows what is going on.. My banks dispute takes 10 business days and Cricket says 3-5 business days to find out what is going on.. I need some assistance with this matter to have my funds returned immediately!!! Their customer service stinks and each time they place you on hold for an hour or longer to come back and tell you "I am so sorry but".......

I ported my phone a few days after my billing cycled and charged my bank account $40.00 figuring I'd get back with them later and get a refund for the pro-rated amount. About 1-2 weeks later I ported the remaining phone I had with Cricket to a cheaper company as I don't use the talk feature much, only internet. I get on wi-fi mostly to talk or surf so I don't need this higher priced service. I called customer service today and now I find out there will be absolutely NO REFUNDS! They claim it is on their terms and conditions page on their website. I haven't checked this to be sure but some foreigner with a heavy accent named "Andy Smith" (I'm sure that was her name, lol) says she would gladly read it to me. I declined her offer and told her I would be looking into any legal recourse I have and that I would be getting on every site I could to warn others of this company's shady tactics. Watch out for this if you need to cancel service. They have credited me in the past and I assumed they would be decent about it but they weren't!

I called to cancel 2 lines from my account and pay for the next moth service on the other 2 lines I was keeping. I was told by the CSR that I needed to pay the full 165.00 for the coming months service to cancel any lines, then after I paied I could call back and have the 2 lines canceled and a credit for the 2 lines service that was not used applied to my accout.

After making the payment and calling back to cancel the line and have the credit applied I was told that is not possible. I excilated it to a supervisor, and was told the same thing, that once paied they can never give credit or refund, even though the serivice was never used at all, and the payment was made 5 min before the request for cancel and refund.

I don't like being lied to, just to get another months service out of me! These lines are not going to be in use, and I am bing forced to pay for serive I have no use for!

Have never been more disrespected a person in my entire life time.He would not even let me speak to a supervisor after multiple requests. I asked to have somebody now he said no she'll call you I asked her name he stated I can't give you that information once again I got no phone call I've called three times. I just signed up for a hotspot and 10 gigs of data and I signed up and then about 6 hours later I got a notification that all my day has been used and I haven't even used it I was sleeping. Nothing was on my phone even show that no data has been used as far as on my Hotspot. He refused to listen and you cut me off and hung up on me. I am taking this all the way where I have to take it because I have never in my lifetime been so upset at a company!!!

Are you still work for Sprint I would be fired if something like this happened. I think you might have had nothing but problems I pay my bill with the lady took her 22 minutes she said my payment processed and guess what my phone went off because of non-payment. Now they say I went through 10 gigs of data over night when I was sleeping? They won't help me. Then I had no phone service for 17 hours. Oh and then they did nothing absolutely nothing for me to compensate me for that. You're willing to take my money tbut you're unwilling to deliver that to me ithe service that I deserve and need and want and you are stealing from me in my mind. Once again this one I will definitely pursue.I am so blown away by the situation .fortunately I work in social media and I know the channels I can take

I purchased a phone at cricket and that sameday their servicewas out nation wide. The nextday my phone couldonly get one bar. They told me i had to wait another day to resolve the problem. Then they saidtheir manager would be calling me. The manager never called. No signal no gps from day one. They told me i could return it for 25% restocking fee. What a joke. Cricket is scam.

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE & FLAT OUT LIARS!!!! I contacted Cricket customer service to see if they had an international plan that covered Italy, Switzerland and France. I was told they had 2 international plans, Mexico and Canada for $5 per month or for $15 per month We would have coverage in the countries I specified.

I then went to my local store in Maricopa AZ and was given the same information. I explained my concern as I had a minor child that would be over seas with a tour group and no parent. I was assured again that she would be covered.

The day my daughter left I went on line to pay her bill and saw she only had international service for Canada & Mexico, thinking it was just an error in set up I contacted customer service again only to be told they ONLY cover Canada and Mexico.

I then contacted the store that set up the service and the manager stated, that is incorrect, she would have coverage... SHE DID NOT!

Then I received a call from John Angeles claiming he was eager to help and do anything possible to help me get in contact with my child, after a couple of days of conversation and false promises, he has vanished leaving me to think he was only stalling.

My child has been gone 8 days with no way to call home or make contact if there's an emergency. I know it was only $15 for the service, but had they been truthful in what services they could or could not provide, I could have taken another avenue to avoid this whole situation.

Well Cricket your customer service providers are horrible! Other than them telling me "it's not their fault my sons phone went off at 1pm today with the number he's had for 6 months after a rain storm today then came back on with a TOTALLY DIFFERENT NUMBER after the rain storm!" "I'm sorry ma'am there's nothing we can do, this is customer care" just does not cut it!! This does not seem like good customer care at all!!!!!! You need to further investigate why something not one but two of your employees stated was " impossible " is suddenly possible!.. 9 am he has one number then 1 pm it's completely changed and just because you have never heard of this- it is out fault. Good job Cricket!!!

I was repeatedly offered ways to make money and all it had to do was listen to the Advertisment many different names used but the same design in the request. Every time promising money all I had to do was take the time to review spam, spam , SPAM!

The cricket store on Cane Run Rd, Louisville KY, 40216 is a complete rip off. Went exacty a week ago to purchase new phone for 129.99. After everything was rung up, my total was 170.12. As soon as i got home, i got on it. Immediately didnt like it. Phone was cutting out, camera quality was terrible so i decided to take it back. They were closed at 5pm. They opened the following Monday, so on Monday i went up there and they told me they coukd ONLY give me 95.00 back? Keep in mind i had my own sim card i brought. I didnt have to activate a new phone, my previous one broke so i took the cards out.

Then my phone started blacking out today, a week later. I called up there and they told me it's been past 7 days and the only thing they can do for me is give me a $40 discount on another phone. Not trade it in, no money back. Just $40 off another phone.

Unsure what else to do, tried calling corporate, no luck. Just trying to help someone else out, so they dont get ripped off!

I was tasked into switching over from other company and told if I purchased my phone from them I would only be paying 20 dollars for my phone after mail in rebate. I did as they said mailed it in on time kept my account in good for more than 45 days. It's going on 3 months. I've called numerous times getting different stories every time and still no rebate or status is a straight fraud. And if there is a lawsuit settlement wow we will be lucky to get $3 back because the lawyers get most and then the rest goes to so called charity's. Buhumbug.

Here's my story, Last September 7th 2014, I went to this store on 1967 W. Slauson Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90047.Phone # 323-291-2300 she now at his address603 E University Dr, Carson, CA 90746 Phone # 310527-2700 . Supervisor by the name of Minerva Vargas, and prior to this store, I went to couple of them just a few days before . I am the consumer who was lured in by offering me a $50/ device in a form of mail in rebate Visa debit card and the $100/ line bill credit if switching from competing T-Mobile (parent company), MetroPCS (Mobile Virtual Network Operator; and or any of its subsidiaries ) ,instead I have been misrepresented, given expired Promotional Visa Card, countless times of unbelievable excuses to explain away company failures, run around and hard time. Company employees have knowingly committed fraud, by misrepresented their products to increase sales, and activations, in a form of false advertising, and deceptive marketing schemes.

Being fed up with paying arm and a leg to ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile every month, after careful research I chose Cricket Wireless. I signed up for the service in 12/11/2015. First day, the service seemed to be working , but beginning 12/12, I kept receiving error message on my phone about no cellular network. Thinking it was my phone (Blu studio XL), I kept going into Settings to reset the carrier network. The phone would eventually connect, but only for a few minutes, and I had to do it again, repeatedly. I reached out to Cricket customer support, and was told that the tower servicing my home area is severely degraded, but that they were working on it and that it would be repaired in a few hours. As I drive for Uber, having consistent phone and data is critical. I was forced to drive away from my home area which costs me time and money. The problem with the tower continued, and every time I reached out to customer support, I would have to give my information and was asked to reset my phone. They claimed to be working on the tower, but I saw no improvement. I was very unhappy with the lies told about the repair, and truly crappy service. I asked for refund, but was told that it would not be possible. After having to wait in hold for 20 minutes for a manager yesterday, once again, I was told that they were working on the repair that they are sorry that they refuse to give me refund. As it is, I was forced to go back to T-Mobile to be able to continue driving UBER. My phone has dual sim cards, and I can see that Cricket is available less than 5% of the time when I'm near my home. 6 straight days of no service, 6 straight days of being lied to, 6 straight days of empty meaningless apologies. Cricket is by far the worst phone service I have had the misfortune of signing up with, and I would like to earn everyone to stay far away from them. Use H2O Wireless, Walmart, or anyone else but Cricket.

I have an account with cricket for two phone lines. last night, on 12/16/15 I made bridge payment of $30 dollars to continue my service. I woke up the morning of 12/17/15 and both phones are disconnected. I called cricket several times during the day to resolve this issue and I was lied to and mislead. Cricket admitted that this was an error on their end. I explained that this is my phone to operate my business, and without it Im losing money and cant work. One of the employees told me that if I paid an additional payment of $10 I would have my account restored and then someone would call me back to reimburse me. i paid the 10 and no one called me back. I waited and then I called back. I was told by a manager, named Robert , that no, I would not have my service restored and that I would have to pay an additional 45 to have service restored within 24 hours. yeah, not gonna happen. Im not going to give an additional amount of money to go without my phone for 24 more hours. I refuse to pay an additional amount, when all I was required to pay to begin with was 10. Im still without my phone.

they accepted my payment, they need to restore my service.

Cricket sold me a new phone and a case to go with it. the case didn't work very well, I returned the next day The girl at cricket said the case didn't work well . they would not exchange it for a different case I got my money back for the phone they would not return all my money. They would not refund the case.

With the promise of low rates, I was foolish enough to jump at switching service from a large company to Cricket. How foolish of me to think that the service would be comparable. The new cricket phone requires you to dial the area code for all local calls. Never in my long life have I had to do that, nor will I ever.

I had Cricket service for a day or two before cancelling it and returning the cell phone from the office which sold it to me. They had the audacity to sent it back. I refused and dropped off their unopened box back to UPS. Clearly they don't want to refund my money. This is a poor way to treat customers after giving terrible service. The local Cricket office was empty and now I know why. It had only one employee, compared to many employees at my former and now current cell phone service provider. I learned my lesson. Don't you use Cricket. I want a refund for the worst cell phone I have ever used. Keep the $40 for first month's fee.

I went to cricket wireless to switch my phone service from a att go phone to cricket my 1st mistake. Employee went to switch sim cards instead of taking back off phone he pulled my front screen off. Him doing this made me have to keep my phone plugged in to charger causing battery to explode . Now cricket trying to say I broke my phone. I did not it's bn in an otter box since I purchased it in May of 14. Now they want me to pay 50 out of my pocket to have my phone replaced. I call 800cricket pocket I'm thinking since the employee broke my phone that 50 should come out of his pocket or crickets . I didn't break phone

The first part of October I phoned cricket to shut my daughters phone line off becuz someone stole her phone at school. Crickets rep failed to disconnect instead they temporarily suspended it (I see why they did, so I would still have to pay for her line) Another billing cycle has now rolled around, I made a partial payment under their bridgepay program now they say the can't totally disconnect her line until my bill is paid in full, if I don't pay the bill in full my service will be disconnected. I already know that as crooked as cricket is it will be impossible to get a refund from them.. I also asked to speak with a representative from America and was told I had to go online to do so.

Bait and Switch tactics on selling service plans. My purchase for cellular service was quoted at one price and I was billed at a higher rate. Both the store manager and corporate customer support denied I have had the lower procedural, but my receipt and second month of service clearly show that I played for the plan I was sold. Now my new bill is 30% higher. Are there any other people who have experienced this?

I answered a Craigslist ad online for a sales assistant for the Crickett Wireless store in Rock Hill, S.C. I interview and was hired by the store manager (Brenda Romero) and filled out all the paperwork she gave me. It was for a full-time positon 40 hours+ per week at $8.00 hour. I showed up on July 27, 2015 for work and put in a full day. Towards the end of the day the manager told me that for the next two weeks I would be training for 4 hours a day, --and then start full-time. This was not our agreement as I need full-time work not part-time so I quit. I asked when I could pick up my paycheck and she said that she would let me know. When I didn't hear from her after a few days I called again and she still didn't know. So I sent a "Demand for Final Wages" letter to her and gave them 10 days to pay me. Otherwise, I would file a complaint with the S.C. Department of Labor. 10 days passed and still no check. I then filed a complaint with the S.C. Dept. of Labor and I'm waiting to hear from them. In the meantime, I will be filing a small claims action with the courts and see where that gets me. This has nothing to do with the money as it's only $48.00. What bothers me is the ethics (or shall I say lack of ethics) that this company has demonstrated. I'm sure I'm not the first person who they have withheld wages from. But I hope to make it their last! For your support I ask that you boycott ALL CRICKETT WIRELESS STORES! Let's show them that they can't use people and keep their money.
