I am a new tutor at coursehero website. I have been answering basic questions at this place. My friends told me that this is not a good place to work anymore. Stil I decided to go ahead and experience these people. When I am writing a complaint, it is not just one individuals opinion but it has happened with many other tutors. My username is expert.solutions

1. Question ID 9502835--> In this question ID they flagged my account for violation of requesting the student to post a question directly to me.

Here is what I said to the student in comments section "Should be posted in advanced question category or if you want specific help, post it directly to me."

2. Question ID 9503482--> In this question ID they flagged my account for violation of requesting the student to post a question directly to me.

Here is what I said to the student in comments section " Should be posted in advanced question category because it is time consuming and long or if you want specific help, post it directly to me. "

Now first off, in the tutor guidlines, there is nothing mentioned about the issue and secondly, I took good care to understand and then I only told the student to post the question in advanced category since it involced a lot of work and was not fit for basic questions catergory. If I had not commented anything, then new students would not understand and they would have not got the help. as you can see, these both questions were not answered by the tutor. I was trying to help the student. I didnt give my profile link. I only wanted to help the student by telling them the option of advanced questions and direct tutor help.

These two questions violations was received by me on june 14. I was angry obviously but I knew I couldn't do anything. So I though, let's work only. Forget about helping students. Just get the question and only work on it without thinking anything else.

Now here is the third warning I recieved today.

Question ID 9503394--> In this question ID coursehero claims that I recieved a violation because I asked the student to increase the price after already using the price suggestion tool.

Here is what I said to the student in comments section on june 13 (this date is when I was not aware, coursehero is giving violations for no good reasons):

comment 1: I can solve all of them but the price is too low here.

Comment 2: Should be posted in advanced question category because it is time consuming and long or if you want specific help, post it directly to me.

Comment 3 (by the student): how much are you after to complete the practice exam?

Next day I had got the violations for the above mentioned two Question IDs (Question ID 9502835, Question ID 9503482 on june 14)

after recieving this violations, as I already said , I only wanted to work. hence I said this in the comment to student

Comment 4: I can't tell you anything now because coursehero is giving me violations for literally anything. So I will keep quiet and work. Figure it out yourself or ask your moderator.

Today on june 17, I got the violation, that I was trying to ask the student to increase the price after alrwady using price suggestion tool. First off, there is no price suggestion tool in basic questions category. Secondly, I never mentioned a figure to the student. I wanted him to post it in advanced questions category where I could use price suggestion tool and then suggested my price.

I hope you understand all 3 violations well now. I feel there is no bad violation from my part. IT is very disheartening to see, what these people did. they put me on probation now. If you can't accept a tutor in human form. then you should hire robots. I think its high time that you stopped accepting new applications. further, as my friends told, these people will remove after probation and will keep all my earnings with them. maybe this is the way they are being profitable. Its sad really.

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD LIKE YOU JUST FOUND IT MISSING FROM YOUR WALLET iIN A CROWED BAR IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY.

If you gave your credit card information to COURSE HERO I strongly suggest you should CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD.

Do NOT waste time with customer service who will only serve to delay you taking other action while they continue to bill your card, "autorenwal"

COURSE HERO website offers useless garbage in return for your time, and your money if you are unfortunate to have been fooled to hand over your credit card number to them.

From my experience it appears COURSE HERO is really only in the business of harvesting credit card information collected from naive and inexperienced students who they have duped into thinking they will get something useful in return.

Look at the blurred out pages of thier "study" documents. What you see is exactly what you get. Garbage.

Do NOT sign up for a bait and switch "free trial" or a one off use. COURSE HERO WILL start charging your credit. They will charge your credit card $39 dollars every month and you WILL NOT be able to cancel. Even if they SAY they cancelled your account.

Course Hero is a troll net site to catch and deceive naive students and get them to hand over credit card information so they can continue the systematic deceptive and unscrupulouos billing practices as listed in massive number of BBB compalints. Course Hero Company Policy appears to have a company policy to ignore complaints about unauthorized billing and to keep charging, refuse to cancel, even reinstate cancelled accounts so they can bill them again and again.

Customer service will say sorry for "your" confusion. It's not your confusion, it's COURSE HERO's deception.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS USELESS SITE THAT JUST WANTS TO TRICK YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO>

DO NOT EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO RESOLVE ANYTHING.

From my experience COURSE HERO will wait until you make a FORMAL COMPLAINT to the Better Business Bureau and even then only occasionally resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer. Yes, when forced to they respond to BBB complaints, but leave the majority unsatisfied.

Complaints are all that material offered is garbage and COURSE HERO victims are subjected to ripoff charges they did not auathorize.

STAY AWAY. YOU WILL FIND NOTHING OF VALUE TO HELP YOU IN SCHOOL.

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD LIKE YOU JUST FOUND IT MISSING FROM YOUR WALLET AT A CROWED BAR. COURSE HERO WILL RIP YOU OFF and laugh all the way to the bank with your credit card in hand. You are better off just using general library research sites, or doing a google or firefox or yahoo or whatever search for information you are looking for.

This company pissed me off! I consider myself smart and observant, and this is a misleading concept for a tutor site. It claims to have an "upload documents in order to view documents" trade-in value type thing. But it is overly confusing (probably on purpose), and it's tricky to navigate without being charged money randomly! I'm trying to find helpful resources to pass my class, and I sign up for their membership...and I SWEAR (on my life) that it said Membership was like $10-15 a month. I was awake, alert, and sober when I signed up and I am careful with my money. And I don't have extra money to give away!

I signed up 2 days ago, and I viewed TWO documents. While viewing them, I kept having to click "View more" and it kept showing me more of the document little by little. WAS I BEING CHARGED FOR THIS??? Because it said NOTHING about being charged for viewing documents. I don't know, but they ended up taking out $120 in my account within 2 days. Then I look in my email, and it says I signed up for the "Premium Membership" of $120/year. NO I DID NOT! I signed up for monthly payments! I'm a broke student, like every other student!

Website LOOKS legitimate, but they're just another company to steal your money. This website confuses people on purpose. If you're going to take out that much money from people. you need to make it obvious that you're doing that!!

I will stick with Chegg.com tutor site !!! They are honest, don't steal my money, and it's much less confusing to use.

On the 18th of February 2016, I discovered at the Course Hero Webpage an essay I wrote and posted to the public domain. When I asked to see the entire document, the website sent me to a form that wanted to charge me $39 for a six-month trial. I AM THE OWNER OF THE SAID DOCUMENT. Course Hero never consulted with me before they stole my work from the PUBLIC DOMAIN. Course Hero has NOT offered to compensate me for removing my copywritten material from the PUBLIC DOMAIN. Course Hero should be exiled or imprisoned and fined. Andrew Grauer, the CEO and Co-Founder should be removed from civil society, since he hasn't a clue how to behave among civilized folk.

They claim to have over 300 tutors 24/7 to assist you with College Courses, but when you ask for help they divert you to another so called "expert" that will charge you an additional amount to work with you. The initial cost is around $60. for the first 90 days, and it automatically renews.

They offer no/$0 refund if you only use it for one day. You will clearly see the first time you use them that they are a fraud.
