We signed a contract for solar panels February 2017. The installer was Solcuis Energy, but the contract is with Corinthian Energy. Any issues with the solar equipment, it is subcontracted for service with Sun System Technology. Almost from the moment the equipment was installed and went online, we had issues. I believe our system went online approximately April of 2017. We had been online for approximately 3 weeks or so and were contacted by Corinthian Energy that our system actually was not online. It took them a week or so to come out and finally get us online.

During those 3 weeks, we were using power from our local electric company SDGE. We didn't sign up with a solar company to still be on the power grid. We didn't have any issues until approximately August 2019 when our system went offline. We were unaware it was offline until someone from Corinthian Energy contacted us. Apparently, our solar equipment is monitored in the event it goes offline, but they waited approximately two weeks before contacting us. Of course this all occured during a heat wave where we were running our central A/C constantly. This is when I initially had major issues with customer service and getting any satisfaction regarding our situation.

Approximately a year later in July of 2020 our solar equipment went offline again. We were the ones who realized our system was offline.....even though Corinthian Energy has a monitoring service. It even states in our contract there is a monitoring service. It took approximately 1-2 weeks before someone came out and got our system back online. The technician said he was going to place another work order to remove a unit that sometimes causes false information that causes the system to go offline for safety reasons. Approximately 2 weeks later a technician returned to remove the unnecessary unit.

I was provided an app for my phone where I could monitor my system called MyLocusEnergy. I tried the app numerous times and had a variety of issues with the app. Someone tried to help me via email to get the app working. I gave up! So now, we go outside every few days and check it manually to see if were offline.

Approximately 2 weeks later, October 12, we noticed our system was off line again. We contacted Corinthian Energy immediately to have a tech come out to get our system back online. No one ever calls back, but instead send an email with info to fill out to provide a time for the work order to be completed. No one ever contacted us after I filled out the email request for a work order date. I called Corinthian Energy again and they expedited a work order date which is October 21. So we've been offline from Oct 12 and not projected to be back online until Oct 21st, almost 20 days after making the initial call. And all the while being on the power grid yet again during a major heat wave.

We also need a new roof installed and called to see what the cost would be to remove and reinstall the panels for the repairs. We were given a quote of $5200!!!!!!!!!!! I have absolutely nothing good to say about Corinthian Energy. This has been the absolutely worst company I've ever worked with in my life! They also have horrible online reviews. I'm prepared to contact an attorney for legal advice on how to get out of this horrible contract. I really want the panels removed so I never have to deal with this company again.
