Community Housing Partners Reviews

I realize this is a non-profit corporation. So, it doesn't qualify as me getting ripped off. The bathroom fan vent installed, which I was forced to install, replacing the light in the ceiling was always a nuisance. It kept the bathroom very cold on cold days because you could not access it to turn it off. Then, one day the fan became loud. It started to get louder and louder. Even causing the bathroom counter in the room to vibrate and mimicked the sound of a vehicle in the driveway throughout the front of the house. It finally caught fire. I could've lost my home over this. The only luck we had was we were awake on a school morning. We were smart enough to cut the power from the breaker box and to use a fire extinguisher. We almost lost our home that morning. No one returned a call to me from CHP on that day, but on the following Monday. I called while the fire department was at my home at 6:40ish that Friday and another call that afternoon. I finally got a voicemail, asking if I want it replaced after asking to disconnect it and/or remove it and seal it back up, not to leave a hole in the ceiling. No, I absolutely do not want another one. I do not want that or any other fan through CHP in my bathroom. It was caulked to the ceiling and set to run 24/7. It's been a headache before an almost disaster. Upon me telling neighbors about it, they revealed having trouble with theirs, as well. Why we are forced to keep a fire hazard by our government is unacceptable. This is not a weatherization tool. It is a fire hazard. Plain and simple. I strongly disagree with this as part of weatherizing your home. It should have never come to this.
