However I called the bank after receiving the check to verify the check is real. The bank got the information from me that was on the check. It was not real, she also told me they have lot of fraudulent check problems right now.
I got the same thing in the mail today! I’m calling my bank in the morning to make sure they are aware of this!!! Thanks and hopefully no one actually cashes these checks.

I received the check went to the bank to confirm it was fake because I highly doubt any company would send a check for 2,390.73 to a complete stranger. They confirmed the check is fake and reported the information
I too received a check for $2390.73. Agree, if your intuition said something doesn't feel right, then don't do it. He started to send threatening emails stating legal action. He said the FBI will be sent out because of services not rendered. I emailed him back and informed him, I did not deposit the check.
I received a check for $2479 to cash or deposit into my account and do to either CVS or Walgreens to purchase 4-$500 vanilla gift cards. For me to keep $239 for my pay and then send copies snapshot of front and back of all cards to the email provided. I replied stating I didn’t ask to be a secret shopper and have lost contact with theses ppl.

I found it odd that a secret shopper co would pay me before the work was done, so i did some digging and found the scam alert.
i did not cash the check or put in my account, too easy to be accused of wire fraud or something these days.
if it looks too good to be true then it usually is!

Same thing happened to me! I didnt cash the check. I received his check and tossed it in the garbage.
