Freezer in pickup meat sales. for 25 yrs have not had a problem with quality or condition of meats bought until this year. Person brought vacuum packed meat out of box, nice color and nice ratio of meat to fat. Says all natural, no artifical ingredients these are steaks and beef patties. Looked at them, nice but would not pay the price. He lowered it by half if I bought the whole box. Done. He opened other boxes and picked out secondary boxes to put in main box. paid for it, he left, and P proceeded to place secondary boxes in main freezer.
About 3 weeks later I got grill going and took burgers and a steak out to thaw. Burger boxes had less patties in it than the one I witnessed on truck. Also the box said it has bread crumbs, wheat flower, yeast, sugar, beef powder. Not to mention an unusual amount of blood vessels ground up in it. Cat liked it. Box with steak also,had ingredients in it as I would not have bought it. No meat, was all gristle. Other 4 boxes I have not touched less the 1 steak.
On 07/19/2019 Colorado choice of Florida of 924.00. The following monday morning i spoke with a lady from the accounting department and she told me i owe a faketish debit in the Arlington location of $1,360.00 which is lie i never received my product from Colorado choice dont ever spend money with there company everything is scam.
Man comes into business says he has some cases of left over steak,seafood and chicken from delivering for fundraiser and will sell for pennies on the dollar. Brings in and shows us looks like real beef,seafood chicken looks small in flash frozen packages. Purchase and when removed from packages feels funny slime on meat, very thin and when cooked beef all tough not able to eat. Chicken fell apart just mush before cooking. Didn't even trust to try the seafood. Called number to complain and get money back and got a fast busy signal. No way to even leave a message. I sure hope no schools have gotten taken by this scam!
On March 30, 2017 we purchased a Steak Deal that was advertised on the radio station (Q97.3) in Redding CA. The advertisement was 20 Sirloin steaks for $20.00. The two young men (20 something) standing behind a table and were showing open boxes of steaks to customers. They were holding the box in a slant up right position. It appeared the steaks were at least 1/2 inch thick. They were offering 20 Steaks for $20.00 or for $120.00 you will get the 20 sirlions , 4 NY steaks, 2 Rib Eye, 8 Chicken Breast, 8 Sirloin Hamburger Patties. or for $300.00 you can get 20 Sirloin, 8 NY, 8 Rib Eye, 2 T Bones, 4 Filet Mignon, 12 Hamburger Pattie, 4 Orginal Chicken Breast, 4 Tryeaki Season Chicken Breast, 4 Hawiiain Season Breast and another box patties. We took the deal for $300.00.
When we got home wwe opened up the boxes and discovered the steaks were thin. Can not BBQ because they are so thin. The chicken didn't look right like off color. These guys represent Colorado Choice Beef Distributed by Lakewood, Florida. I tried to get our money back they refused. It was because we took them home and they can not accept beef that was out of their control. Makes sense my loss their gain. Their food is not eatable. I posted a buyer beware on Redding Crime Stoppers and got over 55 hits of same experience. Do Not Buy from these modren Door to Door salesman.
