Coast 2 Coast is a SCAM!! Run Run RUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!! I attended the March 26th Event. It was supposed to start at 7pm. I got there at 6:10 and doors was locked and the building was empty! A group of people came and stood a the door at 6:30 and more people started to show up. Doors did not open until 7pm even though it was said that was the time the show itself is supposed to started. Because the line was SO long, each person had to get checked by the bouncer before getting in. The contest did not start until 8:30! Performers had to walked through a sardine packed crowd to check in cds! There was no clear area to walk to to check the cd in! The place was smoke filled of blunts and weed! Even the organizers and judges was smoking it! Coast 2 Coast reel in dupes by the event actually happening and unlike other pay to play events, performers at not required to sell tickets. But what the duped person dont realize is that its a "buy your way into the top 5 status"!
The event for first time performers is $300. But if the person wants to compete again in the next show, it's $200! Contestants who get top 5 are the ones who competed over and over! There is also a $200 a monthly premium fee and that covers mix tape promotion and admission into competeing in any Coast 2 Coast live show. They also have a tour option where performers perform with the event in city to city for NO PAY and there is also the $150 "featured artist" fee option if someone wants to perform as a special guest. Cant leave out the private performances for their so called industry execs. I noticed that NO artist is taken to the top in the indie world nor mainstream! They are not in major music festivals, or major clubs in a PAID show where people pay to see that particular person and just a few other artists! It's basically a road to nowhere and shoveling money into false hope events where artists will get NO WHERE through Coast 2 Coast! It's a cash funneling SCAM!
