Cinncinati Insurance Company Reviews

  • Feb 1, 2016

Back in 2009, I was a patient of a North Georgia Dentist. This cruel dentist caused an injury to me. He deliberately pulled out a healthly and vital tooth when he knew that I did not want this.

He tricked me into believing that that tooth had a cavity he wanted to fill. After drilling into it, he announced that the tooth had to come out due to it not having enough structure to fill.

I believe he did this in attempts to get more money from me for an implant. I was in shock, at the time, and unable to think. I have been to dentists all my life and never encountered one like him.

Some of his former employees told me he has done similar things to other patients.

I tried to get this dentist to pay me $5,000 to repair the damage and replace that vital tooth. That missing tooth caused my TMJ symptoms to become much worse. I was in constant pain.

My letters, to this dentist, went unanswered.I tried to find a lawyer to represent my mal-practice claim against this dentist, but was unable to find one. Some lawyers were in sympathy for me, but said the case did not have enough money to support their taking it on. Other Atlanta lawyers said, they simply do not take cases North of Gainesville, GA, because "juries and judges in the Enotah Circuit often fail to award their clients fair and just compensation."

I want the reader to know why I did not take this dentist to Magistrate Court. The courts would be unfair to an outsider lady, like myself, and in favor of the dentist, who is local. Magistrate Courts, in Enotah Circuit, are often unfair to a someone who is NOT in their Elite Circle and I did not want that kind of stress and I did not want a biased judge to award this dentist any court fees or counter claim.

I filed a complaint, against this dentist, with the Georgia Dental Board. They never contacted my witness, never asked for more information. After 9 long months, they just sent me a FORM LETTER, stating that my case does not have Merit.

I have also filed a complaint, on this site, on the Georgia Dental Board because I heard of other people, who have had similar experiences with the Dental Board. After all, when the board consists of 11 members. 9 Dentists, 1 Dental Hygenist, and only 1 Consumer Advocate, the odds of winning your complaint are 10 to 1 against the consumer.

The dentist refused to give me the name of his Mal-practice Insurance Carrier. My work, on the internet paid off and I found that his Mal Practice Carrier was:

Cincinnati Insurance Company. I called their main office and was given the name of the Agent - Blanchard and Calhoun Insurance Agency in Augusta, Georgia.

I called them, and told the person who answsered the phone that I wantd to file a mal-practice claim against their client for $5,000 to cover the cost of repairing the dmage this dentist did to me.

I figured that if I did not ask for any pain and suffering - which certainly WAS caused to me, that they would just pay this claim and I can fix it with a permanent bridge.

I FIGURED WRONG! THIS IS GEORGIA, AFTER ALL, AND GEORGIA IS KNOWN TO BE CONSUMER UNFRIENDLY. In fact, Georgia has a policy of CAVEAT EMPTOR.

LET THE BUYER BEWARE. This means that, if some professional harms you, it is your own problem.

My case was given to an adjustor. This was in November, 2010. The adjustor pretended to be sympathic to me, but that was just to get me off guard.

He asked me for my date of birth and social security number - pretending that he needed it for the claim. I foolishly gave it to him.

I know now that he was using that personal information to see if I am of they type to file similar claims in the past.

He also asked me to write up a NARRITIVE of what I experienced to support my claim and any witnesses I had.

I carefully drew up a 9 page narrative, and supplied the name and phone number of a wittness. I sent it off around December 1, 2010.

I asked the adjustor to get back to me - in writing via postal mail with questions and any settlement offer.

Dear Readers: Here is what happened to me.

On December 10th, 2010, I received a phone call from the adjustor, who callously told me. YOUR CASE HAS NO MERIT. YOU JUST DID NOT LIKE THE RESULT.

OUR INVESTIGATION SHOWS OUR CLIENT DID NOT HARM YOU IN ANY WAY.

I was in shock. I asked him if he had contacted the witness. He replied. THERE WAS NO NEED TO CONTACT THAT WITNESS.

I asked him why he is calling me and to put this in writing. I also said that this dentist should not have the right to be a dentist.

This mean spirited adjustor, laughed at me, saying. COME NOW.

Again I told him to put it in writing and send it to me. Then I hung up - very upset and fustrated.

I guess this Cincinnati Financial Agency - just sluffed me off because I did not have a good lawyer to represent me.

I found out later, that the Blanchard and Calhoun sent my claim and any letters I sent them directly to this dentist to use against me.

And, this dentist certainly did use it against me. When he saw I had exhausted my means to sue him, he filed UNFOUNDED STALKING CHARGES AGAINST ME. He got some sleezy lawyer to do just that.

I had to pay another lawyer $1,500 to get out of that one. So, I am injured, in pain, out money I gave to that dentist, treated unjustly by his insurance company, and out more money to defend myself. All becaused I wanted to be compensated for the injury.

I guess if someone sends a letter to a dentist asking for money to repair the damage done to them, asking and not getting insurance information, filing a complaint with the State Dental Board and daring to file a claim with his insurance is caused for STALKING.

AGAIN, THIS IS GEORGIA - ANYTHING CAN AND WILL HAPPEN TO INNOCENT PEOPLE.

In the final analysis, I felt that Blanchard and Calhoun should have paid me the $5,000 I was requesting. This is a small amount and would have been much more if I had been able to find a good lawyer to take my case.

I just want the public to know of my sad story. Then, they can decide for themselves if they want to deal with this company.

This is my true experience and I stand behind all I have written.

I pray that no one suffer the way I did. Most folks are decent and honest people. What happened to me, a 65 year old senior citizen, is unjust and so very unfair.

I am glad that I no longer live in Georgia.
