My family had test drove a used 2014 jeep grand Cherokee and had agreed that we should buy it. While on the dealership lot we noticed a dent on the hood of the car that the dealership had failed to disclose. I asked if they would negotiate on the sales price since they professed that they didn't know the car was there. They said no so We left the dealership disappointed as we truly wanted the car. I called the next day to discuss our options letting them know I was still interested in the car. They said they would split the coat of the send repair with me but not budge on the price. I felt like they were playing games and I was right. After telling them I was disappointed and would go look at other options they called back and said they would fix the dent at their expense. I said let me talk to my wife and would get back to them. A few hours later I texted them asking how long it would take to fix the dent and the salesman said his manager told him it would take a week. Within five minutes he texted back saying they had just sold the car to someone else. This is a very small dealership that only has two sales people working at a time so they all knew what was going on. Technically they did not have my deposit and therefore could sell it to anyone, but they acted unethical and not honorable. I plan to buy a Jeep Cherokee but will NOT buy it from this dealership and will most certainly go out of my way to drive business away from them. I would suggest that consumers use caution when doing business with this dealership as all they care about is closing the deal.
