Chewy advertises that you'll receive a FREE $30 gift ecard when you spend $100. I placed an order for 8 items at 13.44 for a subtotal of 107.52. When I entered the gift card code "Winter", the subtotal price changed to 137.52. that would make each item 17.19 each, and $30 higher than the normal price. They then show a ecard discount of $30. So you are actually not receiving a 30. gift card. It's a ploy to get customers to spend $100. When I removed the discount code Winter, the price lowered to $107.52 Below the offer on the first page, Chewy has an asterisk that certain conditions apply, but they are not available to read on the website. This is a scam and false advertising.

on June 19, 2021 I placed a order for “6 month Simparica TRIO” Chewy placed a hold on $169.87 that as of tonight 6/23/2021 has still not cleared or dropped off

The product was shipped out on 6/22/2021 and another hold was placed on my account totaling $169.08, this payment has cleared the account.

6/22/2021 was the last day of one of the biggest online sales of the year, after receiving a error telling me my transaction was denied I went looking and discovered Chewy had double charged me, I had no money to buy anything so for me the sale was over.

As of the 23rd I am out $169.87.

I contacted Chewy by phone and talked to a supervisor who told me this has happened before, and she was really sorry. The supervisor told me that she had refunded half of the $169.87 but it would not hit the account for another 5 days.

They don't care if I filed this or not, they refuse to see reason.

I placed an order with Chewy.com on December 6, 2017 order #71870353 for $73.22. The next day multiple charges were fraudulently made on my card. I placed the order, my very first, 12.6 reluctantly as my husband had advised me of reviews on the internet about chewy.com employees stealing credit card info and making purchases online. Sure enough, on December 7, 2017 I discovered several charges on my card. Since I did not use that card for several days, the only purchase made was at Chewy.com. I contacted Apple, one of the sites my card was fraudulently used, and was told my card info was used on another apple account from Florida and that it was fraud. My card was also used to purchase at Gamestop online fraudulently on December 7th. When I called their customer service, the people I spoke were not helpful at all, and unprofessional to say the least. In spite of other complaints about fraud, chewy.com has done little or nothing to address this issue. They will go on and on about how secure their systems are, but myself and others posting complaints of card fraud tell a different story. Because of chewy.com sloppy security, I am now without use of my card for 7 to 10 days while it gets replaced. My husband and I are very careful to only use ONE card for online purchases and do so very infrequently and it is ONLY used for this purpose for our own security so there is NO doubt chewy.com is responsible. We have spent hours online with Apple, Gamestop and our bank because of this and demand a full refund of our purchase.

Trustpilot company review site has several complaints of bank fraud against Chewy by customers who have used their online ordering system...August 21, May 2nd, January all from 2017 and 2016 has complaints as well, in some instances all monies were stolen out of bank accounts of customers.
