Cheaperthandirt.com will on a regular basis sell you one thing but deliver another. I ordered a range backpack that matched the description on there site. Once i called the manager agreed that i did not get the bag i ordered but there was nothing he could do about it. Crazy to think that a company this big and be so dishonest. Bait and switch sales tactics are the stuff of carnivals. After talking to management to resolve the issue a circus indeed with clowns. No name calling, i"m only making a point. Cheaper Than Dirt is quite a brand name that depicts the product and service that you will receive from this online company. I recently purchased a new concealed carry firearm to fit my ankle holster and was shipped a Used and Defective one instead. When I contacted their customer No Service department, the agent was obtuse and extremely mal mannered and tried to shift the blame on the customer for their poor business practices. They refused to fix their problem and exchange the used item for a new item. They basically said… tuff luck buddy, you’re on your own!
Furthermore, Cheaper Than Dirt overcharges on their shipping to enhance margins on products that are supposedly cheaper than dirt!
Save yourself a tremendous headache and avoid this company at all cost. Cheaper Than Dirt cannot be trusted as a reputable online business and should change their name to Piece of Dirt!
Shipping is why I chose other in the category for my review. I basically picked out 3 (20 round) boxes of ammo (223), a 6 oz one point bungee sling, a 3 oz mag coupler, and 13 oz stock with pistol grip combo. My total was around $174 and shipping was a whopping $47. I went live chat and explained that I had my own ups account and would like to use it bcuz I knew this shipping was inflated by at least 60-70%. I was told no way. So I told them what I knew as a business owner. That if my shipping was 70% lower than theirs and they ship 1000 times more items than I do that their shipping prices were only there to enhance the margins on their products which are supposedly “cheaper than dirt”. Don’t be fooled by this. If you use the company, order one box of ammo at a “decent” price and see what the shipping rate is if u don’t believe my review. Total rip off. And I have the online chat via email to prove my point if anyone is skeptical.
