When I bought the vehicle, my check engine light was on by the time I got home from the lot. When I called to ask them about it, it took them close to a week to respond when I only had a 7 day return policy. When I finally got it into the shop, it threw several codes. They replaced the seatbelt and the timing solenoid, but completely ignored the transmission control module.

I went a week and the check engine light came back on and was intermittent for a while. Now that it's past the time to get it fixed, the light is always on. They told me they had done work on the exhaust and the suspension, but there was a massive exhaust leak and my rear subframe is almost completely rusted through.

I just bought this car in August of 2021. If they really had done work under this vehicle, they would have known about my subframe. And of course now that I'm trying to trade in my vehicle elsewhere, they expect the full loan amount with all interest back.

I left an abusive relationship and ended up trying to start over here in Fort Collins… I walked 3 miles to work everyday until I could finally get approved for a car at carhop. They sold me a 2007 Saturn ion for over 4x whats it worth.

I bought it it December 2, 2021 and it is now January 15, 2022 and this is the 3rd time I’ve had to put it in the shop because it was literally undrivable and they are trying to tell me that they won’t cover the brakes because it basic wear and tear?!? In less than 6 weeks! It’s cost me 4 days of work and almost $700 AND the breaks too! They are HORRIBLE people! I can’t believe they would do this to people

Carhop, Blaine, MN Carhop called me one day, since I had to change my payment date. This was no big deal and we got that all set up however in the meantime the person who sold me the car who was on the phone with me and told me that we could get a different payment rate for one time rate of $160 instead of our typical $190 payment…. So here we thought we were all caught up. Just a few days ago though I got an a really snotty email from the finance department asking me to “explain to them why we are late on our payments”… THIS WAS THEIR FINANCE MANAGERS LITERAL WORDING. “EXPLAIN” to them…. Wow.

So this person gets to just talk to me like I’m a child? I call him, he proceeds to tell me, That it was a error in his computer yet I still owe it!? Mind you this is after they gave us expired tabs on the vehicle we purchased that was promised to have current registration when we purchased it. they gave us the totally wrong cars tabs when they got them in and now they are expecting us to go and make it right and then They claim they’ll reimburse us after they pulled this stunt. They’re thieves. They commit acts of coercion and launder money. They also target those who are unstable. It’s horrific. They Have tried to launder money from me United States

These people really ripped me off, they sold me a lemon, lasted 6 hours and 30 miles. I called the dealer and told them it was having problems, they told me keep driving. The car broke down and crashed, almost hurt me and called serious damage. The manager "D andrade" only showed interest in my insurance claim number because my insurance offer $5500 blue book value for the car. He tried to sell me another car and told me I would own the balance on the first one. I just received my license plates yesterday, they continue to process registration having knowledge the vehicle in inoperable. I really wish I could tow the car back to their doorstep.

Please, whatever you do, do not deal with these charlatans. Everything they say about warranty and guarantee is hyperbolic language to get you to buy crap cars. They are just trying to make a quick buck regardless if someone gets hurt. If someone were to inspect their inventory I guarantee they will find at least half dozen cars with warning lights on dash board.

I knew going into the deal I was purchasing a used vehicle. I had been previously driving a 2007 Chevy colbalt. They suggested cash instead of trade in. I bought colbalt for $500 never had a problem with it. Sold it to my boss for his daughter to drive for $500. Bought a 2009 Chevy HHR from carhop. You would think I upgraded? Nope. I haven’t even made my 3rd payment and it’s not drivable. Nothing is covered under warranty. Figures. Forced to continue to make payments on a nonoperating vehicle. Missed the payment because I got paid over weekend. DISABLED MY IGNITION. I was NEVER informed they had that ability upon purchasing the car!!!! And then they sent a letter stating if I’m late again they can repossess with no warning??!!!

I would have NEVER purchased the car if I knew those were stipulations. So after making the late payment I was all caught up, went to go to work the following day. WONT START. I refuse to bring it to one of "their” shops. I’ve had a friend mechanic look at it and say it’s definetly the fact that ignition has been tampered with that is causing the issues. But I want to bring it in to a third party shop and have it inspected and if it’s the ignition disabled I fully intend to sue. The saddest part of this is I’m worried there’s nothing I can do. I’m worried lawyers are more worried about protecting companies like carhop and not hard working low income people like myself.

Do not buy a car from here, worst experience I have ever had. The staff do no communicate with you properly. Misinformation will leave you stuck in hell with the piece of junk they sell you. Be sure you have full coverage on your car because their warranty is a joke. Single mom of two kids and my car that I have 2 more years to pay on has been at the shop more than I have been able to drive it. Drove off the lot with LIABILITY INS on a car that with interest is costing me 13000 which is against the law. Was told it was okay as they have a warranty (which covers almost nothing) Hit a deer two days later. Took it to their recommended car shop (GREENFLAG in JOPLIN) Had my car for around 2 months while they looked for used parts to make it run again. Car would have been totaled had I had full coverage. The work done here was crap, they didn't fix the things that were listed in the contract to be fixed and their version of fixing the car included mounting the computer on top of the engine with ZIPTIES! Not done properly at all. They did not fix the hood latch had to drive the car home 45 mins away tied down and buy $3000 dollars worth of body parts including headlights which could not be properly mounted. Now I have a mountain of junk held together with ZIPTIES and stalling out. Warranty Refuses to provide funding to even diagnose the problem because they paid GREENFLAG in JOPLIN MO to fix it already.

I bought a car in March or 2017 from CarHop. Right after that it was problems my car broke down 7 days later on the day after it was able to be returned. I had getting a hold of them and getting them to agree to redeem my car from the broke down location. So I attempted to go to the main office which is on Auburn. Right off the bat it was unprofessionalism and straight out confusing business. That is a long story that led up to something else.that lead up to something else. My car was mistaken identity after that my car was impounded due to no license. Knowing the agreement that I had with him I asked him to redeem it. It took them until I call corporate once again. That led up to my payments being more. And apparently my name being reported as a repo. At the time I didn't know until the last incident which is when my car was actually repoed. It is a lot of stuff but basically my car was repoed and the place that they sent it to has my stuff and is charging me for it. The first time it happened is when I asked him to redeem it and they sent it to an auction and then they held my stuff which they currently still have that this time this is all my stuff in my car my clothes my kids stuff birth certificates everything I own. And they're charging me for it no we're in agreement it says that they can repo my car and give my stuff away it says they can report but not give my stuff away to be sold back to me. Haven't got a letter or anything in the mail stating that my car is being auctioned like it was when I actually asked him to redeem it from an impound. If you can contact me for further information about this whole case that would be great.

These people are so full of it; I'm trying to see whats going to happen when I give them the Fresno Fire Department Repot - DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THEM NO GOOD I hope they get closed down not very helpful and wont give you the report of the work that was done on the car before you bought it. PLEASE ANYONE READING THIS REPLY BACK SO EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT CARHOP ALL AROUND. I bought a 2009 Nissan Versa hatch back car from Car Hop in Vallejo in March 2017 on July 2017 it blew up on the side of the road. Because I did not have full coverage on the vehicle they are saying I must still pay for the car. I dont think so a car is not suppose to blow up in 4 months. I requested a copy of the maitenance report and was told they do not provide to there customers. If they did proper maintenance I would have still had my car for my daughter who is now 19 years old. Do not purchase a car from these people yes there interest are high it sounds great because you are desperate and all the Yelp reviews are true.

My daughter says that one of her co workers had to pay $300 for issues with her car and they are stating they will turn her car off if she does not pay them. My daughters brother got a car from them his down payment was $85 and since he missed a payment they took the car. We put down $1,000 and the car value is $3,563 or so but they want way too much. Do not I say again Do not purchase from this company they need to be shut down. For those who she this and want to file a lawsuit I'm down.

*BEWARE OF WHAT CAR HOP IS DOING TO PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY ETHNOCENTRIC PEOPLE WITH POOR CREDIT* The sales person, John tried to sell me a 2002 Ford Taraus with a dirty headlight for $8,000. Then, Jill the manager, came out and tried to tell me this is what you get in my situation. She tried to tell me if I bought a car from a private owner, that I could end up in the same predicament. And, that this way I build my credit. Then, John tried to sell me a 2005 Chevy Impala for $8,888. The Impala didn't start immediately, you had to wiggle the key. Then, John started it and I took it for a test drive. It shook after 55 mph. The low tire pressure Gage was on, the CD deck was broken, and when I stopped the car at another dealership to fill out an application and tried to restart the car, it took over 5 seconds to start. *BEWARE OF WHAT CAR HOP IS DOING TO PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY ETHNOCENTRIC PEOPLE WITH POOR CREDIT*

I can't get any help from carhop getting my car repaired. I have talked to them numerous times in person and on the phone. And no one wants to get the car repaired. Especially when it was brought to their attention a couple of weeks after purchasing the car. Lied about the air... There was no air.

My wife and I received a call that car was fixed. Which I thought was since they told us on NOVEMBER 17,2016 that they were putting a new engine in it and that the engine would not arrive until NOVEMBER 21,2016. We arrive to pick up the car only to discover that the engine had not been replaced .We were told previous that the car had a blown head gasket. We were okay with the gasket being replaced except when my wife drove away the check engine light came on almost immediately. She then went to the gas station and put 8 gallons of gas in the car went 50 miles and it is empty again,

when she home she tells me of the situation so I decide to check the fluids and discover oil in the anti-freeze and furthermore that the oil was filthy. As a former mechanic in the Army I know when you change a head gasket you are supposed to flush the engine and radiator of all fluids and lubricants, yet this was not done. Why you ask because according to the shop that Carhop told us to take it to Carhop said they would not pay for the job to be done properly. So know we have a car we have had for 15 days that is a giant paper weight. So needless to say I am very dissatisfied with Carhop.

I went into this location and in good faith started through their approval process. The gross unprofessional who was supposedly processing my request kept asking for more information. That information would be provided and he wanted more. Then the final straw was when he accused me of being a liar and thief.

All of the information provided was accurate and legal and yet these vultures to my private information and kept digging for more information. I fear for the security of my personal information which these grossly unprofessional individuals abused.

This company is untrustworthy and all customers should run for the hills rather than do business with these people.

I bought a car from Car Hop because I was desperate. The car was a piece if junk. It broke down shortly after I bought it. Now the car has not ran in over 4 months. Its still in the shop and they can't figure out what's wrong with it. My warranty is no good and I have spent a fortune on rental cars. They refuse to help me by 1. Give me another car or 2. Fix it for me under warranty. I refuse to pay another penny on a vehicle that doesn't run. They refused both so I'm on my own. This company does not stand behind there vehicles. I don't no what I can do. But I'm not going to pay them any more money.

Bought a car may 2015 i was thankful because my divorce ruined my credit. The car was wonderful. Until they applied my payments to wrong account and deactivated my car by gps computer. Then the pully went bad and when calling a friend for help found out the u.a.c lady Christine had told someone i know all my information including how much i owe on the car and that my repair isnt covered. Might not seem like a big deal but what other info could be given.

The car I bought from carhop in does Moines caught on fire while I was in it, I was able to escape and watched it burn to the ground..this happened about 10 days after we bought it...I am traumatized and have been having nightmares I didn't have time to get all my stuff out and it burned too....their solution was to tell me to find another way to get to work a d to put us in a 16 year old car that had service lights coming on the first day we had it.

I've had my car since around match 2015.. I was on time with my payments cus I had a full time job the whole reason why I got the car. Then a few months after I lost my job and they called and threaten to shut my car off for him payment. I explained why I couldn't get my payment in at that time and I would figure something out in to getting my payment in.. so I did my payments when I could. They say to keep in contact with them and so I did .. but every phone call I made they would talk down to me . So I quit talking to them and just payed my payment when I could . I would make one payment and couple days later there calling again. They say all the calls are recorded and I brought that up to them over the phone they had everything to say about that. They never listen to what I have to say about anything.. the promotion department called me and said if I signed up for this thing online that I would get $200 in any repair towards my car and being my car payments current so I went online and filled everything out and there calling again once again after theyb shut my car off saying I never went online and did what they asked me to do.. and I repeatedly told them over and over I did go online and fill whatever they wanted me to fill out.. this place should be reported to better business bereau like ASAP!!!!

Iam thinking about finding a lawyer and sueing this place for everything they put me through.. lesson learned and I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE. I referred one friend and they said if get $100 for referral and I called and they told me they don't do that. Next time I called and asked about it they said it's up to the promotional department so I talked to them and they didn't know what I was talking about and they told me they all money handling goes through the financial department. Then around the try time I called about the referral they said it was to late to get it in like what kind of s**t is that I've been calling about it for how long now and now they wanna tell me it's to late for me to get it ... very oissed off

About a year ago i purchased a 2004 dodge neon sxt from carhop. Everything seemed fine the first day i had it but the second day my engine started knocking. With it being saturday night the dealership was already closed so i went in first thing on monday. When i got there i spoke with a woman and calmly explained the situation and that i had bought the car a few days prior. She stated "we can only repair the car under warranty if it effects the drivability of the vehicle or the safety of the driver" immediately setting me off. Calmly i stated that what happens when my car throws a rod while im on the interstate during rush hour? If i manage to get to the side of the road without being hit i cound still be hit by people flying by. Does that effect the drivability of that car and my safety?" She was completely shocked and didn't know what to say. I told her to think before opening her mouth and asked what they were going to do about it. She sent me to one of their repair shops where the mechanic told me it was completely normal for the engine to make that noise. Needless to say i went back the next day to speak with the saleslady who i had originally bought the car through She sent me to their other mechanic where he told me that if i heard knocking it was not normal but the ticking sound that he was hearing was common for the type of engine in the car. He also stated that normally he would do a full diagnostic on the car to see if there was a problem but carhop would not authorize it unless the car would was not drivable The mechanoc did however change the serpentine belt on it because it had chuncks missing from it. I asked tori if i could just give the car back and she said i could but i wouldn't get my deposit back, or at least not all of it because i had gotten some use from the car so i decided to stick it out. The car began having problems accelerating and had almost no power to it when going uphill. I got the car at the end of april amd at the beginning of September the engine blew The shop had my car for a month, and not because of their negligence. Car hop had hunted down the cheapest engine they could find and had it shipped to them which took 3 weeks I called the uac which i had to deal with rude employees and a supervisor actually hung up on me before i even spoke with him Finally i got ahold of a supervisor and told her how unhappy i was and how much money i was out because i bought a vehicle from them and that i was paying for a car i havent even had for a month She postponed my car payments for a month but that was it My engine is now knocking again and they will not do anything about it till it blows and if it does im dropping off the keys and walking away No one should ever buy a vehicle from them. They are overpriced junk cars and they are a horrible company.

I purchased a 2001 pontiac Grand am gt. on 12-07-2015 at 8021 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma,wa 98499. I was promised this vehicle with certain promises to go with it.That certain repairs would be taking care of,before I signed the paperwork. And now I'm getting the run around.Prior to purchasing this vehicle a 2001 pontiac grand am gt. on 12-07-2015.I was told by the car saleman (Marvino). That If I chose that certain vehicle that certain repairs would be done.and Marvino said he would make sure that got done,if he had to do them hisself. At no cost to me.And now I'm getting the run around.everyday.These repairs including, a car radio, which wasnt in the car,and had been taken out.Plus the button that controls my outside mirrors on the car.and a few other things, thats been going wrong with the car.I drove it only one day, then everything started going wrong.I get up the next day to drive it to work and I was also told It would have new tires put on it.so i get up on the following day to go to work.My tires were flat and When I called CarHop and spoke to (Marvino) and told him what had happen,I was told that's the way it is when you buy a used car.(AS) Is.So I miss a day's work, got my tire fixed and I called CarHop back and spoke to (marvino) once again,to find out about my radio and the other parts I need for my car.Well kept getting the run around for over 3 weeks and when I called Car Hop to find out what was going on.(Marvino) and the other sales man (Charles) told me that my parts had been order and they were just waiting for them to come in.I was told at the time that It wouldnt take but a couple of days for my parts to come in.Well Its been almost a month. And on 12-22-2015.(Marvino) called my house and said that my radio had came in,and If I come by the Car Hop in Tacoma,wa that he would have someone put it in my vehicle at the car lot by the name of (Glenn).which from my understanding is the lot guy there. So I went into Car Hop and when I got there (Marvino) came out of his office with a radio in his hand ,and said he would be right back.that he was going outside to get his lot guy.(glenn).to get him to install my radio in my car.(Marvino) was out side very long.I think about 5 minutes at the most, cause it was storming that day real bad outside.(Marvino) came back into Car Hop and said I got good news and bad news, which one you wanna hear first. Now all of a sudden the radio was suppose to be the right one but the wrong connectors and he wasnt sure if it would even work.So he basically throwed it in my lap and told me to take it to a radio place and have the right connection put on it and it might and might not work. But it was up to me to get it fixed. And the shop wanted anywhere from 80 to 100 dolloars to just put it in that wasnt including the connection.and I asked (marvino) how we were suppose to do that.when he told me he would take care of everything that needed to be fixed.and he said to be glad that he put the knob in for my mirrors, which I had to order it and It was 35.00 for it.

Now on 12-28-2015,I called Car Hop back to find out if (Marvino) was going to keep his word and fix my car.Now I'm having problems with my car not wanting to crack and was told to take it to the shop but make sure I had my money upfront before my car could get looked at.Which was 75.00 dollars upfront not including what the warranty didnt cover. So my car still isnt fixed has no radio in it.and I have spoken to (Tina) which is the manger there and she told me she had to check things out and she would call me back.So now I'm playing the waiting game againAnd was told today that she would have to oder my parts again. So I'm still getting the run around. And ['m taking this matter high up .To the news media and etc.

Car Hop sold my financee and I a 2001 Honda Civic in December 2014. We needed to get a more reliable vehicle with a baby on the way. We were approve for the car and had to put $700 down on it. It had 187,000 miles on it when we bought it and paid over $8000 for it and are still paying on it for another two years. In March the alternator went out in it with my son in it and then again in May with my son in the vehicle once again. We have had nothing but problems with our vehicle and they wouldn't cover anything for repairs. We're looking at almost $3,000 worth of repairs on it right now to keep it running until we can afford to get another vehicle.

I went in a now a year ago to look for a mid size suv, they get me into a 04" gmc envoy, they tell me there warranty covers major parts of the vehicle like, transmission, engine&radistor. Three weeks later and a down payment later the d**n trucks alternator goes out, I call them was placed on hold for twenty minutes then hung up on(so unnprofessional) finally call a second time just to be told they can only reccommend a shop for the repair, pay out of my own pocket$ 135 for repair.

Then hasselled about payment a day after payment of rhe the repair. Few more months down check engine light on , call to let them know spoke to some idiot name deandre who says I have to pay for my diagnosis$75 to another one of there repair shops, engine coil is broken, I pay out of pocket again another $ 138 , two months after this transmission goes out , call uac talk to some lady tyreka who refers me to have the lemon towed to transmission discount( jacklegg mechanics) I call back to carhop they then say they can only cover half of the cost, I pay my half $375 three weeks later , car still isnt repared, finally fourth week its done, I drive it all of 3 days it breaks down again, towed to another shop who were very honest they say engine.

gone , they and contact carhop, car hops says they cant assist with covering engine repair. So I say carhop shuve it. FOLKS DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY

I was in need of a vehicle to get back and forth to work, heard about Carhop and gave it a try. August 2013, I visited the lot in Vallejo, Ca-a 2 1/2 hour ordeal-and purchased an automobile. I test drove a 2001 Ford Ranger and all was well. I completed the drawn-out process of filling out the paperwork and watching the *** and unnecessary video. $800 down and payments of $169 bimonthly I drove away a happy camper...or so I thought.

I left the lot on my way to work in San Francisco and the car began sputtering, if you will, when i got on the freeway. It did if a couple times and stopped. So I thought maybe I was tripping but by the time I made it to Berkeley, about a 20-25 minute drive from Vallejo, the car slowed down completely from 65 to 20-while I was in the fast lane no less. I was able to exit the freeway safely and call Carhop to explain my issue.

Long story short, my transmission was completely gone so I had to locate on of their auto repair shops, and get the car there. The mechanic says he has to look at it and email UAC, wait for a response and approval to make the repairs and then they could begin the work. Needless to say, I WAS PISSED!! I not only gave them my HARD EARNED MONEY, now I was late for work and with no vehicle for an entire weekend...no loaners, no compensation, no adjustment in cost of car since obviously I was sold a car that didn't work, no nothing.

Before I left I explained that the check engine light was on, the oil gage keeps going crazy and ended up stuck and not working, along with a few other dash lights that had popped on due to the tranny going out. Two weeks later I finally got the car back, the oil gage still broken, check engine light was off and the car was drivable so I felt a little better but still felt extremely ripped off being that I was responsible for a lemon of a car that ended costing me total $18,900 after all was said and done.

I bought the car at 108,000 miles and currently it reads 180,000 so I have only driven 72,000 miles between 8/2013 and 7/2015...mind you, that for 9 months of that time-9/2014-6/2015, I didn't drive the car at all-I left it parked in front of my home. When I finally began driving the car again, i noticed the same problems from when i first got the car. I was driving and it seemed that out of nowhere the car would slow down to 20 mph and when I pressed the accelerator, I got nothing but a revving sound, depress the accelerator and the car picks up speed again. Last straw was on my way home from work one night, got about 15 miles away from home and car slowed down to 15 mph and thats how i crawled across the bridge and along the streets all the way home. Called UAC only to be told my warranty expired and they held no responsibility for repairs. Not only that but they had the nerve to repo my car a week later because I was a week late with my payment, although I had spoken with a rep and made arrangements. That was another $500 that I had to pay to get it back because they said it was parked in Oakland and it could get stolen...Hella racist statement!!!

I am sooo outdone with this company and would never recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I'm sitting here going crazy because repairs are gonna cost me about 3 grand, I still owe about 2500 on the car and I can't even drive the raggedy piece of s***. I'M DONE!!! They should not be able to prey on people who are struggling and working hard to take care of their families!!1 NOT ACCEPTABLE!
