I was suprised by all the fraud complaint and this company is allowed to remain on the internet to rip off customers. The Texas attorney general looks pretty week.

12/15/2018 Purchased Lowe's gift cards totaling $450.00 from Cardpool for $420.25 to save for refrigerator I was planning on purchasing in May of 2019.

Cardpool Order# 34185789.

Brand: Lowe's Card Value:$150.00 % OFF:5.5% You Paid:$141.75 Brand:Lowe's Card Value:$100.00 % OFF:5.5% You Paid:$94.50 Brand:Lowe's Card Value:$100.00 % OFF:5.5% You Paid:$94.50 Brand:Lowe's Card Value:$100.00 % OFF:5.5% You Paid:$94.50

Paid via credit card 12/15/2018:

12/17 CARDPOOL INC 415-4198787 CA Reference No. 2384. $420.25.

Prior to making this purchase I investigated reviews of this company to see if legit, and most reviews were positive so I did not feel I was taking a risk. - I received the following email verifying my purchase from Cardpool on 12/15/2018. I never bothered opening this email as I was not going to use these cards for a while. I may be mistaken, but I thought they were electronic gift cards I purchased, as I usually do not want physical cards lying around that could be lost or stolen.

3/28/2019 - I opened this email and went to my Cardpool account and was shocked to see it stated my cards were shipped. I NEVER received these gift cards. I emailed support immediately that day informing them of this. 3/28/2019 - Read current reviews which are horrible of this company now. One person indicated this company was bought out late in 2018 (found on their FB page today that the sale was 01/2019), and their business practices have totally changed with virtually nonexistent customer service. No one seems to get a return phone call or response to their emails.

3/28/2019 - Called customer support and left a voicemail.

3/28/19 - Checked BBB - Website did not allow access to Cardpool reports (status is being upgraded) so was unable to view complaints against this company.

4/2/2019 - Emailed Cardpool again requesting a reply.

4/3/2019 - Called customer support and left another voicemail.

4/03/2019 - Complaint filed with MI State Attorney General's office.

4/5/2/2019 - 3rd email sent.

4/10/2019 - 4th email sent.

4/05/2019 - BBB complaint filed (ID 13488580).

4/25/2019 - BBB email received stating they have sent 2 requests to Cardpool with no response from this company.

NOTE: BBB response to my complaint indicates this company's headquarters are now located in Texas: 2200 Ross Ave Suite 2300 Dallas, TX 75201 New phone#: (415) 419-8787.

Cardpool is trying to resolve customer issues

**** UPDATE: After a response was finally received on Cardpool’s Facebook page, they have provided me with links to view/print my cards. One had a zero balance on it, but they did refund my credit card for the amount I paid them. I believe Cardpool is trying to make things right and am so thankful for this. ****

On 4/23/18, I sold 4 $25 gift cards to them for $91.16. I used their prepaid label and followed all directions, and deposited it in the post office mailbox directly on the same day. On 4/27, I got an email thanking me for my purchase- I've heard other sellers get this email once their mail was received by Cardpool. Their site says you will get your Amazon credit in one business day once they receive the cards, but two days later I had received nothing. Since 4/27, it has said my cards are "in review." I have multiple screenshots of this as well as their turnaround promises. I have sent three emails now, and it's been almost two weeks. They outright are lying about their business efficacy and practices. When I finally got an email, they claimed to not have received my mail, and blamed USPS saying that first class mail takes 3-7 days and UP TO 3 WEEKS. What?! When I contacted USPS, they said that was a lie and first class is 1-3 days, and the only reason it would take 3 weeks is if I was sending to or from an area currently experiencing a natural disaster.

USPS encouraged me to make a missing mail report to see if Cardpool did, in fact, receive the mail and are lying about it. I suspect they are as the "in review" status happened after 3 business days from mailing, and the same day they emailed me again thanking me for purchase. I also found it atrocious that the customer rep asked me for tracking information. They know da*n well their labels don't have that, and I believe the reason they don't have a number to call is because they know what they're doing and think that ignoring their customers will make the problems go away. This company is stealing from people and they are deleting comments or marking them as spam on Facebook- I have screenshots showing where my comments have been removed. I'm calling the gift card companies and checking to see if the balances were used and where, and if it's determined that a Cardpool employee took them, I'm filing a police report. I've already filed a BBB report as well, and reported it to the many military pages my family is a part of so that they can't scam anyone else as well. Absolutely disgusted with this company and I'll gladly join a lawsuit against them if available!

Do not send your gift card to this company. I sent them $150 gift card in exchange for an amazon card at lesser value. They received my card and responded saying I would receive an amazon gift card within 3 days. A week went by I received nothing and thought I could contact them for tracking info, but I found out there is no way to contact them but by email. So I sent them an email my info ect. Another week goes by and I get an email with a robotic response of they can't get to my email at this time but they will within 3 business days. That was a week ago still have not received anything or heard anything. Target buys gift cards in store plz do not use a website were you send them something first they will ripp you off.

Avoid CardPool.com at all costs! They are a complete and total Rip Off! I sold a gift card to them that I was not going to use. The gift card, (for Appleby’s Restaurant) was for fifty dollars total. They offered me thirty-three dollars and fifty cents (making them a profit of sixteen dollars and fifty cents) This is Usuary but never mind that, I needed the cash as I am temporarily out of work and need the cash. I followed their on-line procedure and printed out the posatage free mailing lable and dutifully mailed my envdelope with my gift card in to them from San Jose, CA to the stated address in Emeryville, CA

I recieved an e-mail message saying that they received my gift card within two postal business days and that they sent me a check on Wednesday, October 11th 2016. Here it is Thursday, October 20th 2016 and I still do not have it as I should have by now. I confirmed with the postal service that it should take no more that three to five postal business days for delivery from Emeryville, CA to San Jose, CA and that's it. Now, after three e-mails that I sent to cardpool.com, (customer support) threating them that I will follow through with reporting them to the CA State Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Division, The FTC's Internet Fraud Reporting Group, the FBI's Internet Scam Reporing Agency: IC3. I received another e-mail response telling me that they mailed my check out of North Carolina State (somewhere) Shame on them! For Bad Karma will bite them in their colldective asses big time! As they ripped me off! (a poor, un-employed, honest (and soon to be hard working again American) Shame on them! (if they actually have the capacity for shame, that is) Anyway, their evil deeds will catch up with them! (Whomever is behind this so called "company") AVOID doing any business with them and save yourself the disappointment and financial loss. Buyer/Seller: BEWARE!

Cardpool sells discounted gift cards. I ordered 7 gift cards for a total cost of $228.26. The cards never arrived, I contacted the company and inquired as to why after 3 weeks I have never received my order. Cardpool claimed that all of the gift cards were redeemed in one day at a WalMart store that is about 12 miles from my home. I have requested proof of delivery, but no response from Cardpool. I never received the gift cards, nor do I patronize the store that Cardpool claims was used to redeem the gift cards. This company is unethical and should not be in business.

When you order a gift card that should be emailed within minutes of running your credit card these scumbags keep your credit card info for 3-4 days before telling you it did not pass in house verification. What the hell is that?

I own a store and the credit card terminal tells you right away whether or not your charge is approved. Doesn't take 3-4 days, if it did I would have no business.

I think they are stealing credit card info and will be watching my credit monitoring service closely.

And even if they are not, who wants to buy something, pay for it with a perfectly good credit card only to be told 4 days later it didn't pass THEIR verification.

Cardpool is a crappy operation who at the very least will waste your time and at the very worst steal your card info!
