DON'T FALL FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!

In June 2016 while on family vacation in Pigeon Forge, my husband and I were approached by someone with discount tickets to Dixie Stampede. All we had to do was pay $120 for a family of 5, and go to a "90 minute" presentation that serves free breakfast/lunch for your family.

So on our last day of vacation we went to the "90 min presentation" that turned into 4 hours. They brought us back and showed us where the muffins were and hot dogs, not the meal we were promised to receive. Throughout the sales pitch, the salesperson Tammy told us how much better this was than a time share. She bragged about the platinum status that we would get which comes with 12 getaway weeks plus our points totaling 15 weeks a year to enjoy with our family that we could not afford otherwise. She stated that if we could not enjoy the getaway weeks ourselves we could rent the weeks to help pay the timeshare off earlier and enjoy the income. She said that we could also buy the getaway weeks and give away as gifts to friends and family.

She asked if we had been to Disney, which we have not. She continued by telling us about this wonderful vacation her and her family took to Disney World and stayed ON DISNEY at the ANIMAL KINGDOM for $169 a week per room. We really impressed both of us and were very interested but expressed to her that we were in the middle of purchasing a home and could not make a purchase like this at the time. I explained that I could not open any new accounts on my credit, especially a timeshare that is considered a mortgage. She told me that they do all in house financing, that this was why their interest rates were high. Assured me that my credit would only have a soft check on it. I explained that we were doing a VA home loan which has strict guidelines and could not risk our closing not going through. She would not take "No" for an answer!!! I felt very pressured, and after being there several hours with a sick 11 month old we were ready to go and had been presented with nothing but lies that we fell for.

We even paid $1200 down. When time to leave we didn't receive our tickets to Dixie Stampede, told us they were sold out and only gave me $80 refund and tickets to a museum we already went to. Couple months later I received a letter in the mail informing me they adjusted our points by increase of 100. It also included an updated contract that moved the timeshare location and from Florida to Wisconsin, I did not sign this nor authorize any changes. I was also billed and deducted from my checking acct maintenance fees a few months into the purchase. I called numerous times getting transferred to several different people never talking to anyone that could tell me anything about the letter or fees. Then I received letter from Polynesian Resorts stating that Equiant Financial Services will be maintaining account billing/payments.

So here I am, a disabled veteran, with limited income, was coerced into making the purchase of a timeshare location in Florida by misrepresentation and unethical means to lock us in a longterm contract under false pretenses.

I was FINALLY able to get in contact with someone, Chris Cargill at 417-251- 5735,that could answer some of my questions. Explained to him my situation, I was then informed that there is no such thing as in house financing, that he didn't know why I would be told that. He even guessed who my sales person was. Apologized for how I was done and lied to, but that he was not able to do anything and gave me ANOTHER number to call. Once again I got nowhere, no answers, no resolution. I will hire an attorney and file a lawsuit if this is not resolved ASAP. This company has taken advantage of a Veteran and SEVERAL other people. This has been allowed to go on way too long, how is this legally possible?! I have not been able to login my account online to even be able to book anything, says password needs reset, sent request, still have not received email.

Approximatly 2 weeks ago, I recieved a phone call confirming our arrivial to the our time share in Branson missouri. I said yes we are coming. The lady in the phone said would I like 150 dollars for attending a 90 minute and they would also include a free cruise. I said no thanks. When we got to the timeshare we were offered 175 dollars and the cruise. I asked for the detials because I wanted to give it to my cousin. Micheal our rep at the timeshare called me back withthe details of the cruise. Turns out it was NOT FREE, upto 50 percent off some services on the cruise.

So Sunday am 10/07/2018, my husband and I went to the tour place. When we arrived to check in the lady at the dest was rude, of course she was not wearing a name badge. We were told that they could not locate our file. So I gave them the name of the person who gave us the time share. They then found the record. A guy by the name of mike took us back to the office and told us that we had been too many time share presentations in the past ten years.

First of all we had not even had the timeshare for ten years. Second the sales people from Capital Group kept asking us even though I had been to an owners update in March. He said that if we took the check for 175 dollars they would turn us into the IRS. He said their was another couple who he turned into the IRS for attending too many timeshare sales presentations and they had their bank account seized to pay the three thousand dollar fine. How would he know that? These people are rude and they lie.

My wife and I attended a meeting with two of our friends although they were not allowed in the actual room where the contract was signed. We were showed the rooms by a lady who was the nicesalesperson. We were shown property in Pigeon Forge Tenn, but in the contract room we were told we'd get a much nicer place in Branson and that we'd be buying a Deeded property in which we would have to foreclose on if anything happened. We were told about the low yearly maintainece fees and that if we did not go on our week we could RENT our week out and pay the fees.

We paid faithfully for a year and I was in an auto wreck before buying but my conditioning was worsening. I ended up be found with a completely pinched spianl cord whioch resulted in a 3 neck vertabrae sugery, have several fractures to my thorasic spine, and a bulging disc in my lumbar. We had to sell our business (HALF OF INCOME) We called Grand-Crown who could not find our account, they had us call Capital. We wanted to begin foreclosure and were informed by a Capital employee that our property is "CALLED" a Deeded property but it IS NOT, Were told there was NO FORECLOSURE process, and that actually we had only the standard 10 day cancelation process that most Time-Shares or Vacation Clubs have.

Capitals employee told us that Capital bought out Grand-Crown and that for a short period in the merger they did sell Grand-Crown stuff but My wife and I could not have bought from Grand-Crown because they were out of business before we bought, YET all our promotional stuff says Grand Crown? BAIT & SWITCH? LIES & DECEPTION? It amazes me how our Government has not went after these people for Deceptive and Wrong Business Practices. Were also informed by Capital's employee that new fees had been added called Lifstyles program which cost and additional couple hundred a year. We told them we never signed up for this program, we were informed that it is Mandatory and was in the contract we signed that CLUB FEES could change and be added ANYTIME the board decided to add them. MEMBERS must have ALL fees paid before going on Vacation. At this rate they priced me right our of using my Club Membership. When I signed for my DEEDED HOUSE LOAN nothing could be added that we did not agree too, so why does this policy not exsist with these resort companies?

When you think about the big picture these companies are selling LIES and stealing money with a bad contract where there is no consideration for you or your rights, They Have the Only Rights. SHAME SHAME! They can take me to COURT cause I aint paying another dime!.. Atleast in Court I can have my side heard!

My wife & I bought this timesare in aug 2014, we were told we could make reservations right away. we did not have a destination in mind so we chose not to make a reservation. within 1 month they were hounding us for the fees. we told them we were told by the agent selling the timeshare, not to pay until jan 2015 since more than 1/2 the year had passed. It took 3 months of them harrassing us to reolve the issue. In may of 2015 a person representing capital resorts called me asking if we were happy with the resort I told them no, they said they are having an owners meeting in aug & would like us to come up.

They gave us the date & time, when we called the resort they said no space was available. I explained the situation they said the times & dates are set by other people in the network, so I had the meeting set but, no place to stay. another problem was my points were going to expire if not used by oct of that year. I called and called nothing was available, finally after the 20th call a girl on the phone said she would try to get an agents room that they let only agents to use. they got me a room, this is not were I really wanted to spend my vacation but, was told at the meeting I was goiing to be shown the ins & outs on how to work the program. When i finally got to the meeting they took us to an off site location not to be with other owners, it was us and another sales person. They did not care about our complaints or if you felt treated unfairly, it was because the points catagory we were in. If you only buy more points & get to the next level you will have a better shot at getting what you want.

I now have reservations to go to Hawaii, at first they told me nothing on any Island is available in the months of june or july 2016. then they tried to put me in a resort I did not pick, it had no ac & a rocky beach 2 blocks away. I cancelled it & went over again the 12 different resorts I selected, again nothing was available. I had made thes reservations over a year ago, still no word. I have to call them to see if there is anything available, this company & intervalinternational are nothing but a ripoff & scam. I was told I had to call them to roll over my points or lose them, they charged me $40 to roll them over, MY POINTS THAT I PAID FOR. They said I can't bank but more than 221,000 points a year. they set up the rules saying you can't bank more than a years worth.

If there was a class action suit against capital resorts COUNT ME IN.

We have an ABC unit at Grand Crown and a AB unit Carriage place. As we listened to the presentaion, we asked serverl questions which the important one was putting points into the rental program. We understand that the program had changed from putting points into the programfor a yr. to using one wk per yr into the program and if it did not rent that wk. we woild lose our ponts. That did not settle well with us. We were told that we woild have a better chance of the units rented becaude it would not be just Branson but for all places that Capital Resorts is affiliated with. This is not true. I have contacted the company with no results. We paid an additional $8000 for better service and it is worse that ever. We were scammed and we are not happy campers and need this problem resolved. Have the time we can not get them on the phone. Now Capital Resorts has the deeds and we are "screwed".

This organization is a rip off. Was told at presentation that if we didn't like it they would buy it back and that did not happen, was also told could use points for three mini vacations and one long vacation and that was not true at all. Have made payments but they go to a obscure account based on lack of endorsement on checks. Signed up for a owner update and have not gotten any info on when I can schedule this but it didn't take them but a minute to take my money out of my account. It seems likle it's ok for them to lie to you and rip you off but they want to hound you if your payment is a day late - when you sent it to the address they told you to in the first place. Would not recommend this group to anyone at all.

We were promised a $199 getaway (for a one bedroom) for anywhere we wanted to go only to find out that is good for only specific dates and few locations. We were also told that our information would come in the mail that we would need in order to use our timeshare. Finally after waiting and waiting, thinking it was lost in the mail, I called the phone number they'd given us only to find out we'd had the information the whole entire time and now was too late to cancel. After finding out all of the lies, we decided that they tell people this because if you find out they're lying, you call and cancel. In other words they have you wait for information so it puts you past your 10day cancellation in your contract. The points we bought and were told it'd get us 4-5 nights will only get us 1-2 nights. The rooms are unavailable, even though they supposedly have "thousands" of them. The very first call I made, only to find out that we'd had our login the whole entire time, I asked multiple questions, only for Noel to tell me that she'd have to call back and schedule at time for a question and answer session. This NEVER happened. The pictures they show of the extravagant rooms is what they said all of them looked like, well some hotels look better than these. We've made several attempt to call them and left multiple messages and gotten no help whatsoever. Now all they want is they're money. Please do not waste your time and especially your money and do your homework.
