I was reading reports on the internet and a pop up appeared from Cable One my internet company asking me to take a survey. I did and at the end it said I could choose a gift all I would pay for is the shipping and handling of $4.95. So I did pick a gift and enterd my information only to find that it was not from Cable One but someplce on the internet and I started imediatley trying to cancel and it refused to let me do so.
It said that I would have to send the product back and after they received it if they received they would not charge my card for the full amount of $78.00 and another email said there would be a charge of $39.00. I am always telling everybody to watch out for scammers and I fell for this because they Used Cable One to suck me in.
I have gotten hold of my bank and alerted them to to process any charges from this company as I saw there were not only one charge but 4 charges each totaling 8 charges ranging from $2.00 to $2.99 never the $4.95.
We have been a Cable one buyer since at least 10 years before they became Cable One. Maybe 15yrs.Before they became Cable One they were called Paragon Cable. Since I have been paying the bill I have been ripped off time after time. Starting in 2009, I had them come out 6 times to fix the picture on my Tv in just one month. At the end of that month the Arizona Cardinals were in the Superbowl (my home team), so I invited people over to view the game on my new big screen TV. The picture failed again and we had to watch a fuzzy game (and a not so fuzzy game on the small TV), which we assumed was an in house problem. It was not (confirmed several times by Cable One) {apperantly ch 3,4,5,6,7... are harder to recieve because they limit the power of these channels. This prevents people from spitting the cable to more than 2 tv's.} So, I got screwed on this.
No big deal. I got over it.
The next month, after 7 and 8 complaint (all 8 times workers came out), the boss repair guy found a problem out on the poles down the street from my house. He replaced the main line all the way from there to here. Good Tv for about a month. then it went out again. Workmen came, suddenly better when they get here...more than once.
I worked many hours at my own business in one year. I didn't watch Tv all year. Then the baseball playoffs started, and I found out what channel...an hour before the playoffs, they cut the channel. When this happened, there was a recording at the office and no one would answer the phone for a week!
I got over it. Then...
The owner of Cable One started making appologetic messages on every channel, saying that TBS was a bully and blah blah blah...
This has gone on and on for years. The NFL playoffls cut off (in the middle of a game... I hired a cab to go to the bar and watch the end of one game to no avail, because I had started drinking and could not drive myself...)
WGN cut off without warning
Price keeps going up, channels cut off without warning is normal...
We live in Arizona and suddenly cannot get ASU or UofA college games (Not football, basketball, or any college sport)
There is much, much, more. But I am doing all this by memory.
Tonight, when we thought we would watch the World Series. There was no channel to watch the world series.
When I called them, they do not answer.
After a few days, they answer. They offered me a $20 credit when I complained. My cable bill has been over $200 a month for several years. It is around $125 now but I only get basic channels. That is why the World Series was so important to me, because it was on a regular network. I don't know if game 2 will be on tomorrow or not...
This company is good for taking your money and find a reason to cancel your date to hook your services up. I called Friday and had to wait through the weekend for new service. I called an hour before the deadline time for them to be here to reconfirm our and they did and both times I had made them aware of my girlfriend and I new numbers just to find out these as holes called the wrong number, never updated info and have to wait for the next open date? Bulls* !!!!!
