One of the worst experiences that I have ever had with any contractor, and there are plenty of bad contractors in Connecticut to choose from.
The lack of care and concern for his many promises made when bidding the job were apparent after he showed up with no tarps, nor any proper protection for our home whatsoever. It was haphazard to say the least with lie after lie when I would frantically try to call him and NO MANAGER anywhere to be found.
The unmanaged workmen caused harm to my home in so many ways I would need several pages. However, be forewarned that the unsafe work methods were unthinkable.
They caused power surges from using the WRONG and cheaper cording for high-powered electric tools and damaged the motor to a cupola/skylight window that now needs to be totally replaced at high cost monetarily but also with my added time and effort [not to mention aggravation and exasperation of one more thing damaged by this bad company.]
Improper handling of exterior lights and again, no management to oversee the damages nor to oversee the fact that the lights were not replaced along with leaving dangerous outlets exposed that could seriously cause lifethreatening harm.... and let's not forget the HUGE nails and debris that they simply used a blower to blow into my flower beds, my yard, my natural woods, and they left debris and huge nails/other sharp objects all over my driveway. Many attempts to get them to properly use the magnet rollers that EVERY good company has and is meticulous to clean.... never happened.
The disrespect was outrageous. The home was left incomplete and we had to hire someone else to complete the project.
The fact that our lights were removed and many were thrown away [not kidding here] into the trash bin caused a whole other set of issues in a dark and forested area where our exterior lights are needed. They never had any oversight from beginning to end.
They also show up at 7.30 am when the starting time in most towns is 8am. They worked with power tools and noise until 7.30 pm when the end-time in most towns is 4pm and no later than 5pm. To boot, Woody [the owner] never gave me his personal cell phone to contact him after hours. I had no way of complaining to his own offices by 5pm to inquire WHY men were still working with noise and powertools. NO one answered the phone because his own office staff leaves at 4PM!!!!!! Thus, after the u nmanaged workers [who did not speak English] were gone I had no lights and could not see nor find our outdoor cat who had been seriously injured and ultimately died because I was alone with my husband travelling and had been literally emotionally abused by this company all day and I would even say tortured by the lies, deception, sexist abuse, and disrespectful behavior.
