I wanted to purchase a Lionhead and a Holland Lop from her and living in Central LA I was conveniently only 45 minutes from her. I asked her for a permit for bredding rabbits. She insisted she did not need one breeding over 65 does with 20 bucks. I thought it was strange but I figures it was okay since she is a breeder breeding them from the luxury of her home. So then I asked for her Rabbitry ARBA and politely in other words mentioned it was none of my business and that I didn't need to see that. I trusted her since I personally went to her living room where she has the rabbits in cages. I was only able to see 4 does and 1 buck. I didn't make a big deal out of it. When I contacted her, I immediately fell in love with a lionhead and a otter holland lop.
I asked for update pictures of the bunnies before purchasing them. She didn't communicate with me until the third day I contacted her again. She then pushed me to putting down a deposit before getting any pictures of the rabbits. I paid through PayPal a total of $600. No rabbit should have to cost this much for starters. She does not provide a pedigree and i thought it was also odd. I asked for a pedigree consistently and went to a rabbit show. While I was at the rabbit show, she not only had written the sex, and color wrong but the rabbits were mix bred. The lionhead was not purebred, and while I had the pedigrees I went to see a judge at the ARBA Rabbit Show in Santee and boy was i dissapointed. The judges mentioned to me they could not register the rabbits because they were mix bred. I asked how to read the pedigree and to my surprise, I contacted the breeders and they have never heard of her. I pointed the website out to them and by the pictures of the kids they recognized who she was and stated they sold rabbits to her for $10 and $40 each at the most! They were astonished how she was ripping people off. They confirmed with me my suspicion. AVOID THIS RABBITRY AT ALL COSTS! Go with more qualified rabbitries such as Hollywood Rabbits or Spoiled Rabbits. Both of which are in LA. Their rabbits are to die for and not to mention they come with a health guarantee, food, hay, starter kit, pedigree and a lifetime support. Upon asking for a refund, she said the rabbits could be sick and said it is not her job to chekc if the sex and purebred of the rabbits. IT IS OUR JOB TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT MIXED, SHE ONLY SELLS RABBITS! Don't make the same mistake I did. I have uploaded the rabbits she sold to me that are mixed and not to mention did not stay small. They weigh over 6 lbs. They have teeth problems and the vet stated some breeder mix breed rabbits siblings to sibling to mass produce and can cause ingrown teeth.
