Bret did not finish my kitchen cabinets and stopped responding to my attempts to remedy the situation. I hired him to paint my existing cabinets and replace the doors and hardware. He insisted on painting the doors in my garage and then his crew left them there for weeks. The paint job was obviously bad after that and he even admitted it (although he tried to blame me for the cat walking on them) while they were in the garage for weeks. His crew to "touch up" the paint, but used the wrong black paint. Terrible. He promised to come back and "make it right" but then didn't show when he said he would. He never provided me with invoices with a breakdown of costs when I asked. Then he wouldn't return my texts, emails, or calls until I threatened to file suit against him to which he responded by claiming to have "family problems" and then offered another date. He not only never showed, but he also never responded to the text I sent to check in about what was happening.
In short, he made $40,000 for kitchen cabinet (faces only) and painting that took months but were never finished. One guy from his crew asked if he could have a light fixture that I was removing from the wall and he promised to come back and install my new fixture as a trade. Of course he never returned either. This business is a complete disaster.
**** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RIDEOUT REPAIRS **** They are a crook, do not know what they are doing and my friend's $50,000 porch rennovation project has been a disaster for the past 2+years!!! I would not recommend Bret Rideout & Repairs at all. Their staff & schedule were not dependable and workmanship was extremely poor and did not meet a customer's expectation. My friend's project is still unfinished and they're not getting any response from Bret. The whole purpose for the repair has not been resolved. ***** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY *****
