About 11 months ago I had a Garage Conversion Installation installed by this company Brentwood Builders brentwood.builders, and it's still not done. They have destroyed my property. They told me that they would install the system and a pool pump as a gift to me! I explained to the Sales Rep that I was concerned about the process on my garage and what will happen if the installation took longer than the 2 months the sales rep promised me? The rep who I will leave nameless for now told me that they would 100% have it done in 2 months!

After the installation of my new garage conversion still has not been done. I then called Brentwood Builders brentwood.builders.com brentwood123.com and they told me they would fix it, but nobody ever showed up! I then called and spoke with Brentwood Builders brentwood.builders.com brentwood123.com and the Sales Manager Richard and he was no help at all.

To be honest not sure from talking to him if he is or can be a Sales Manager. No customer service, never return calls, couldn't speak clearly! Brentwood Builders .brentwood.builders.com brentwood123.com scammed me.

I then called and talked to Michael Pietrzak the Owner of the company. He is a typical sales guy! Blowing smoke up my butt and kissing up to me to make me feel like everything was Ok, but after 2 months the garage was still not fixed not one thing was taken care of! Brentwood Builders scammed me. Due to the lack of response from the Brentwood Builders brentwood.builders.com brentwood123.com team I called the Corporate Office and guess what still no help! In which the corporate office address is bogus. It's a place where mail is picked up.

I then call Energy Efficient 3 my finance company and asked if they can send someone out to fix my garage since I had a finance with them and Brentwood Builders sold me this ADU garage conversion. Energy Efficient 3 was helpful and got back to me. Asked questions about the ADU garage conversion and the way Brentwood Builders explained the process. I told them that they told me they purchased a ton of ADU's garage conversions and they want to install it and give it to me in 2 months! They asked me more questions! A few days later I received a call back from Energy Efficient 3 after I told them to come and get the garage fixed if someone would not repair my garage this was the only reason I went with Brentwood Builders.

BEWARE OF THE LIES, TYKE JOHNSON THE OWNER OF BRENTWOOD BUILDERS LLC WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING, EVEN IF ITS WRONG!! IN FACT HE AlWAYS HAS AN ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING!! He built our house until we fired him for being over budget and trying to make claims that items on the plans were optional until confronted. He built about 70% of the home until we caught him over billing for these items. One call to the arcitect and Mr Johnson started writing checks back to us..

But Wait, theres more.. About a year or two after the construction my wife and I started noticing some water leaks around the porch areas..All done and completed before we fired this guy!! Tyke wanted to play the blame game and say he didnt do it!! Well we have pictures of the contruction stages and the dates that confirm he did in fact complete this part of the home prior to being FIRED!!!!

The repairs were over 200k to fix.. And i hear theres others out there with the same types of issues...

BRENTWOOD BUILDERS LLC HAS BEEN SUED FOR THIS TYPE OF THING BEFORE(WISH I WOULD HAVE CHECKED FIRST)

ATTATCHED IS A LAW SUIT BROUGHT ON BY MR AND MRS LIGGETT...Guess what for....Yep, WATER DAMAGE!!!

You see in the State of Tennessee there is a statute of limitations thats only 3 years.. So the warrantys are no good basically.

Same thing that happened to us, Doors leaking, doors not properly panned, windows not propery sealed etc. My doors had to replaced.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE CONTRACTS YOU SIGN WITH THIS MAN, HES A SNEAKY ONE AND WILL GO BACK ON HIS WORD!!! YOUR CONTRACTS MUST BE ROCK-SOLID BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED THEM..

Biggest mistake we evermade was haveing BRENTWOOD BUILDERS LLC (TYKE JOHNSON)build our home. Thank God I have a company that could support this type of Loss!!!

We have several neighbors that have had similar issues with TYKE JOHNSON!! He tells them one thing, then does the other. Most of the reputable contractors in this town know TYKE to be this way as well!!!

Dont be fooled!!! Dont let this happen to YOU!!!

OPINION

The plaintiffs, William H. Liggett, Jr. and his wife Cynthia Liggett, purchased a newly- constructed house from the defendant, Brentwood Builders, L.L.C., in March 2000. The house received a final certificate of occupancy in August 1999, and the Liggetts moved in on March 4, 2000. Almost immediately after moving into their new home, the Liggetts began experiencing problems with the house.1 It is undisputed that, in April or May 2000, “the Liggetts experienced water leaks from the windows and French door in the great room as well as leaks in the ceiling at the intersection of the great room and the kitchen.” They “also experienced large amounts of water coming in under the kitchen door.” For the rest of 2000, the Liggetts “continued to experience serious water intrusion problems throughout the house.” As of February 2001, “leaks continued unabated throughout the Liggetts’ home.” Prior to the summer of 2000, the Liggetts found puddles
