I contacted the company to inquire about geting pest control. The company said that they would have to do a consultation, but that the consultation fee would go towards the service if I chose to take them on. I had them come to my place.
The representative looked around, said they could solve the problem, requested a payment of almost $200 on the spot, and said they'd get back to me to schedule the service. I wrote them a check. They cashed it that day.
I didn't hear back from them for 2 weeks. I called and left a couple of messages. They did not return the call. I got hold of someone in a third call and, in essecne, they indicated that they couldn't perform the service.
I asked for a refund on the "consulting" fee, but they said they do not offer refunds. I pointed out that, if they refuse to offer servece, there is no way for me to apply the charged fee to the job, and really there is no legitimate consultation.
So that should negate the constulting fee.
The representative said he would get back to me on that. In 6 weeks, I've called 3 more times and have not gotten hold of anyone or gotten a refund. They have not called back either. It has now been almost 2 months since I wrote the check.
This is clearly a scam these guys pull. As there are many other options in the Madison/Janesville area, I would recommend to all to stay far away from these pests and avoid their trap - for you.
