BMG Auto Group Reviews

  • Nov 13, 2017

I am. beyond me upset. I have been contacting them since August and left several messages with the company individuals including management. I was supposed to get several calls over and over again never have. We were even supposed to work something out and to no surprise still no contact. Long story short my credit card was stolen and used to purchase a vehicle. The amount was 2,5000 which is not a small amount. After proving it wasn’t me and filing a police report I still have yet to see my money. I am now going to file a law suit against the company. For not checking the ID against the Credir card and not willing to rectify the situation. We are now in November which is well enough time to have came to a solution. I have never bought a vehicle from this place and pray no one else does either. They care about nothing.

BUYER BEWARE: Please heed what people are saying about this place. You could lose your car before your first payment is even due! I purchased a car from BMG Auto Group (car dealership not to be confused with the repair shop) in mid-January. They wanted 2700.00 down payment. They will prey on your hard times so if you don’t feel good about the deal WALK AWAY.

They are going to be overwhelmingly nice to you upon purchase, they are looking to bind you financially so that not only do you repair the car, they can retrieve it without responsibility for your expense. 2) They will not come down on their price. 3) You have to go there directly to pay -> You cannot pay on the phone or online with your card and according to Jerry (the same guy that sold me the car) he “doesn’t have to answer his phone when the dealership is closed” so if your work/personal hours don’t coincide with them, be prepared for them to repossess your vehicle in less than 24 hours. I gave them 1500.00 upfront, and was scheduled to pay 600.00 two Saturdays later (x2). 5) DO NOT pay them in cash! Use a cashier’s check or a card, you’ll want proof of all of your transactions I promise you!

At my job like many, we are not allowed to be on our personal cell during working hours (I work 12-18 hours internationally). I tried to call Jerry Saturday evening when a moment freed and left him a message so I could indicate where I was, and to come Monday and pay the first additional 600.00 of the down payment since they are closed on Sundays! Monday afternoon (12:04 pm), barely home from work just to let the dog out; change and go drive and pay them, walk outside and the car is gone at 1:34 pm. In under 36 hours and the first ACTUAL car payment isn’t due for two more weeks, they have repossessed a vehicle that a person hasn’t had for two whole weeks! Now when you call them, don’t waste your time being kind – I tried that just to understand what was happening -> Jerry is no longer Mr. Nice guy, he was rude and loud and will try to out talk you. He claims they called several times (untrue, there is such a thing as a call log on our phones); and I did in fact call him on the phone number on HIS card. The same number he first stated to use ANYTIME, he now no longer has to answer (according to him). I told him, I just want to find out how to reconcile it. I’m just trying to pay the rest of the down and get the car back (and my belongings by the way). He said I would have to talk to Shane, he didn’t know the exact fees. Ok, great!

I called back spoke to a very rude Shane. Be prepared, he’s (Shane) going to talk very down to you, about you being late (even though this isn’t an actual car payment), about your poor credit and all around how maybe if you made better decisions you’d be able to get a car somewhere else! He then mentioned “you could’ve put it in the dropbox!” Funny there was never any mention of that from Jerry (or anyone else there) when I bought it. They were very “matter of fact” about coming THERE to pay it INSIDE. They feel the need to break people down on a personal/mean level (notice their response to complaints as it articulates this point further. They clearly don’t care about the outcome so you must know they are willing to get over on you. They have NO INTENTION on selling you a car that they expect you to keep, they sell with the intent on retrieving it and quickly to resell it to some other poor soul. Shane (Green) claims that a “Mr. Brian Green”, “the owner” who you will not be allowed to talk to or ever know where he is, now wants the entire 15,000.00 for a car that I had for two weeks. Now this isn’t on any paperwork, Shane just claims it’s “NOW” what the “OWNER” wants! I pled w/Shane; tried to make him understand that I did in fact try to contact Jerry, all I want to do was reconcile the difference and get the car back. Any normal finance company is going to allow you a logical “reinstatement amount”, but they aren’t normal and aren't interested in that because they are deliberately going to position you in an impossible financial situation from jump. I just want my deposit back (even if I had rented a car I wouldn’t be out 1500.00, plus gas and taking it to Mitsubishi to fix the camera, the windshield wiper, the oil change and rotating of the tires which they swore they do-> they don’t!). Please check the BBB, Texas Attorney General and Consumer Affairs Board about this group and people’s experiences. No reputable organization is going to take a car within 2 days of an abnormal due date and lack complete willingness to accept a rational payment if they are truly trying to help people.
