Black People meet is a scam. They charge your account without your approval. They make it impossible to cancel on the mobile site which most people use. They do not respond to fraud reports. There are hundreds of false profiles on the site with duplicated information. Some say they are divorced in the summary yet indicate they are married in the body of the profile. Some will say they are African American but, the pictures show European individual. The site does not deliver. They match you with people who do not fit your preferences. They continue to match you with people you already rejected. They will match a woman with a woman even they that is not in your preference. They send responses on your behalf causing confusion. I have seen messages sent that I never sent. I never even saw the profile.! 80% of the profiles are fabricated duplicates. Steer clear of this site. It is not legitimate.
I paid for a subscription to this service. The money was taken out of my account but I never received the services I paid for. I called customer service and was told that they couldn't find my subscription.
I have a two unathorized charges I was not aware of other than the normal membership fee which I paid up front for 3 months that far back. In February I had an additional fee of $3.99 and again yesterday when I paid my membership again. Another $3.99 fee. I have called them, they are closed with no ability to leave a voicemail. I also emailed them through the website. There is no verbage that says anything about additional charges (state or local tax) when you pay a membership fee.
Black people meet/BPM I cancelled renewal and they charged me anyway and doubled the price. They said i never cancelled but theie email to me showed me that i made changes. Their website is misleading to make you believe you cancelled. They arguged on the phone with me and refused to reimburse me
I signed up for a free trial only with black people meet.com and to my surprise I check the card statement that I used and they have been taking money every month for a continued membership. I signed up for the free trial only in February and just today they hit my card again and when I checked the statement on that card is see they just been pulling money out of my account monthly. I contacted them today of course I had to send them a message instead of speaking with a person. I'm hoping that they take care of this matter or their company will be known as it is already a rip-off a scam and a rip-off
I am filing a complaint against BlackPeopleMeet.com, a ‘personals’ website. I have been on the site for several months, so I am familiar with how the site works, as far as, being viewed by different women and meeting them on a daily basis.
On August 10th 2015, I was on the BlackPeopleMeet.com website, checking my profile and I noticed that I had not received any views from any women on the site, for at least a couple of days, at that time. This was odd and unusual because I normally get hundreds of views in any given week. I figured, perhaps it was a technical issue on the site and it would be corrected soon. Each time I logged on, I was constantly bombarded with notices to renew my membership, and maybe that was why I had not received any views, so I renewed my membership for another three months.
Later, I checked to see if anything changed, and nothing had. I then logged on anonymously (as a female) to see what the women could see from their end. When I searched for my profile, which is “MrHol69” , I received a message that read “No Results and No Match Found”. This wasn’t the first time I had done this and before when I did it, I saw my profile in the results. This is how I know, for a fact, that my profile is and has been blocked for about a week now, even after I paid them for another three months of membership.
They took my money on August 12 2015. Today is August 18th 2015 and my profile is still being blocked by the staff at BlackPeopleMeet.com. In addition to this, they have also blocked my access to my account. When I attempt to check it, I repeatedly get a message that reads: “Currently unavailable… Try again later.”
This has been going on for a week. If they don’t want me on the site any longer, then they should return the money they just took from me for the three months additional membership. This is clearly a fraudulent act on their part and I was ripped off ! There is no contact link or phone number to contact anyone directly, and they have always ignored my reply emails . The customer service is terrible and pretty much non-existent.
