Avila Ageless Serum Reviews

Free sample offered. Credit card billed $200. Called to cancel, got confirmation #. AVILA offered 80% off to reinstate. Credit card billing remained because cancellation was beyond small print 14 days. Credit card customer service "Henry" requested courtesy refund, got 35% from AVILA's Torre's supervisor. Paid credit card balance.

Also called to cancel Firming Moisturizer on the day of order, received anyway, and was included in $200. Had no cancellation number or contact, so no other action was taken.

These people charged 2.95 for a free trial of product...sent products and over 3 months of AUTOSHIP that I did not order charged me over $400. I filed a report with the BBB in Denver. I got this email from the company

This message originally read on 3/14/2018

Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12732082, and find that the following resolution is satisfactory to me.

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:

We definitely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused the customer.

As a courtesy, we have submitted an electronic refund in the amount of $405.49. We did have a technical error when trying to submit a refund for the final $98.41, and we have sent a check refund to the address that the customer provided in the BBB Complaint.

Thank you,

Avila Dispute Departmen

I did receive a money order for the $98.42....But they lied about the electronic refund and told the BBB the account was closed. A lie.

I will keep you updated but for NOW...AVOID THIS COMPANY

I responded to an ad that offered a $4.95 introductory offer, and ended up charging my credit card $200 ($97 & $98 for two creams sent in same box).

I called them and they said if i returned the items(come in same box). they would refund the $200... i returned the items with nor refund and they charged my account a second time for the two items. I was suppplied with two different return numbers that I wrote on the box. When i call now the phone just beeps...

Nowhwere in the add was it stated that i was signing up for a monthly renewal of cream at $97 and $98 for each cream.

After being charged 194.82 for a trial run on the product in which i was told only had to pay shipping and handling. i called and cancelled the monthly renenwl charge. and I told the lady on the phone i never even recieved any more product, so she says ok yes i see you havnt received anything but i cannot refund you the 194.82 but i will ship out more product to you and then cancel your account. Well next month I see another charge for 97.41 coming out of my account. i call again they inform me that my WHOLE account had not been cancelled, but only one product was. I was very upset as now i have paid almost 400.00 for two some bottle of face cream!!!! The cusotmer rep assured me now my account was cancelled and he would try to get me a refund since it was an error on their part! im hoping the refund of at least 97.41 get put back in my account.

I purchsed this product and it does not work. They cahrged my card over $100 without mentioning this on the site and were going to send me another bottle in 30 days. I called and spoke to customer service and they are extremely rude. I explained to her that nowhere on the site does it state they will charge you in 14 days for more of the product.

I told her I don't even have the other product so how can you charge me again. SHe faought and argued with me on this as I wanted a full refund and to cancel it all I didn't want any more of this product as it wasn't working anyways. She refused to refund me any of my money back. I finally got a littel over half of what they charged. Am I happy with that no I am not. FYI if you think you want to try this product.

1. It will dry out your skin to hte point of peeling.

2. Will clog pores and cause acne breakouts bad.

3. Will make your skin look older and tougher than it did before you used it, making you look much older.

4. DO NOT BUY BIG RIPOFF AND SCAM!!!!

Contacted me by phone after I ended my session when they asked for my CC info for product sample that I had supposedly won for free. Two days later they contacted me by phone and stated that I had to pay for shipping and handling which was for 4.95 and 5.95. Which I paid. 2 weeks later that hit my account for $185.00. Called my bank to dispute charges who in turn gave me the company's contact # to see if they would reverse the charges. The individual named Micheal answered the phone started off with basically saying they had all they need to prove that thier actions were valid and if I filed a claim with my bank I would lose then he offered me 30% of the monies they had taken I went through the roof then he offered me 50% That's when I said I would make sure I would enlighten every consumer in whatever way I can that they were a scam Then he said I would be reimbursed 100% in 10 to 15 days. and gave me a confirmation # and just hung up without an apology or nothing. I instantly called my bank back and started my dispute process.

I heard about the Avila products online.

I went to their site and purchased "samples" for $5.95 (approximately).

They shipped me the Avila Ageless Serum and Avila Moisturizer samples.

Shortly thereafter there were two drafts from my checking account, one in the amount of $98.41 and one in the amount of $97.41. However, no actual "full size" products were ever shipped to me. I continued to wait for the products.

Today, I noticed an additional $97.41 and $98.41 were once again drafted from my checking account. I still have not received any actual "full size products.

In effect, I have been charged nearly $400.00 and have no products.

I called the two numbers shown on my checking account where the drafts came from (866-639-2332 and 888-518-8602) and got no help.

The representatives were very rude. I finally had to tell one of them that "I was not an idiot."

So, I am out $400.00 and have no products.

I DO NOT WANT ANY PRODUCTS. I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED. I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN THAT THIS IS A SCAM!

I signed up for a "free sample" of the product. No where on the site did it state I would be signing up for a subscription nor did it state I would be charged another amount if I did not cancel prior to 14 days. I paid a total of 7.90$ for what I thought was a sample of their product and then saw a 98 dollar charge to my bank account.

When I called the company they told me I would have had to click on another link to see that I was signing up for a subscription but when I checked the box to agree to the charges (I thought the 7.90$ charge) I was agreeing to the subscription. Sad that a company makes money off of swindeling it's prospective customers.

I ordered face cream for$4.95 shipping. It was a trial sample. 2 weeks later I saw my my bank account was charged two different charges for $98. I called them and they said I didn't cancel in time so they wouldn't refund my money. I said I got the products in the same box so why was I charged for 2 products? The guy hung up on me. I told them it left me with $42 in the bank and I am a senior citizen and cannot afford this.

Avila tricks people into getting a "free trial" and then they take hundreds of dollars from your account. This is a fraud to say the very least and I am sure you have gotten other such explanations of this scam.

Won't credit my charge account for returned product that they kept sending after i cancelled

*I got rash, plus canceled when finding out it cost $98.21 for 1 z. bottled that #295.23 for 3. returned, canceled & they sent 3 more @ this price. charged my card & won't take it of. Been battling for over 3 months. Nothing, just saying THEY DIDN'T GET? my cancelation for 3 months. So WANT ALL TO KNOW WHAT SCAM THIS IS. NOT EVEN REVEAL TOTAL PRICE. * So DON'T ORDER with charge card because they will pull this scam*

  • Jan 22, 2018

Buyer beware!! Charged my account $200 without my consent! When I called in they stated you have to cancel your membership within 14 days!! No mention of a 14 day trial anywhere when you order!! Customer service reps are rude and nonchalant! I stated to the rep that I am going to call my bank and file fraudulent charges and she said that they will win and I would not get my money back!! They already have paper work in place to back them up even though the website does not state that we must cancel after a 14 day trial! Do not let this happen to you!! Do not order from them!

  • Jan 19, 2018

SCAM. Very misleading advertisement. They say 14 free trial, but after having the product for 6 days, I was charged 98.41. They will continue to charge 98.41 a month until you call and cancel, regardless of whether you need more product or not. I have no idea if this is a good product or not, because I’ve only had my $98.41 bottle of serum for a week today. However, if you have to resort to underhanded, deceptive marketing tactics to make a sale, the product can’t be that good. A good product would sell itself.

  • Jan 12, 2018

Their "free trial" was a total scam. Nowhere in their advertisement did they say the trial period was only 14 days. And that they would then charge my credit card for $200. Also, their customer service people were rude and hung up on me.

This was a promotional ad: buy skin care product for $4.95. However, when i went to checkout, they had added $2.95 for shipping insurance and $6.95 for another product, neither of which i wanted or agreed to. It did not matter. They had already charged my credit card. When i called the number On yscam.com) to cancel my order immediately, they told me that they could not refund me. I asked where they were located, what the name of the company was, and that i wanted to speak to a supervisor. They then told me that they would, indeed, refund me, but that it would take 7-10 business days.

I ordered a "free trial" of Avila Ageless serum. I had to pay $4.95 for shipping. No problem. 2 weeks later there is a "recurring" charge on my account for $98. There was nothing at all on the website or during sign up that said I had to cancel anything. There was also nothing in the original package saying I had to cancel anything. The website offers no phone numbers or contact information. I called the number my bank provided and they transferred me to 4 different people and kept saying I wasnt in the system. I had to pay my bank to block any future charges from them as I have absolutely no way to cancel this. The fact that you have to call to cancel should be forth-coming in the add and a number should be provided with your shipment at least. This is very scammy to me.
