AutoTire Reviews

I have taken my vehicle to Auto Tire for several years for routine maintainence without incident. But after the past 2 services I noticed my car running very rough and noticed an oil leak. My husband checked the oil level and it registered an inch and a forth past the full line on the dipstick and checked the leak underneath the vehicle and noted it was leaking around the filter and 2 main seals. The last oil change was done on 12/20/17 and when I started my vehicle on 12/24/17 the check engine light came on.

I then took it to an independent auto shop to have an evaluation done and they also noted the oil level being way over full (1 1/2 iches ) past the full line and noted the oil leaks from around the filter and main seals. I then took it back to Auto Tire so that they could witness the oil level and oil leaks. It also needed to be documented the massive amount of blue exhaust smoke coming from the vehicle and how rough it was running. At present the vehicle is not driveable.

I have asked for Auto Tire to pay for the damages done to my vehicle to get it back in working order but they have refused to do so and deny any wrong doing.

In February of 2015, I was made aware that my thermostate would need to be replaced because it was leaking and you could smell it. My husband usually does all the work, but didnt have the time. I took it to Auto Tire based on what my husband said was wrong with it and, after the inspection of the car the auto mechanic there came to the same conclusion. I had a new thermostat housing put in with a coolant flush and fill which came to about $345.00. About two weeks ago I notice a smell coming from my car and ask my husband to check it out. He determined that it was the thermostat. On December 10, 2016, I took it in to Auto tire so they could check it out. I know that I had just had a new thermostat housing put in so I figure it had to be under warrant, and informed the mechanic of this. I was then told that what they had fixed was the upper housing which is under warranty, and now the lower housing would need to be replaced. On the receipt of the work I had done, it does say that only the upper housing was replaced. It says that I had a thermostat housing put in with a coolant flush and fill. My husband, who is in the mechanic field himself says that nobody puts in thermostats in parts. I feel that they did not want to honor the fact that the thermostat was under warranty, by telling me I needed the lower housing replaced so that they could get paid for doing it. I think that they are a bunch of unsavory characters and would like for them to be held accountable for their actions.

Dont take your car there for anything. They have been sued claiming they do work on peoples autos & they don't. The manager there (Don D.) claimed to change a ladies brakes when he didn't. He crashed my car causing over $35, 000 worth of damage, First he told me he did it backing into the bay, then he changes his story claiming he was only going 3 miles per hour. Then lies about replacing my tire and he just put a plug in a high speed rated tire. Do yourself a favor don't go there. Their insurance company Travelers, likes to stall, still not settled, it's been almost 2 years.
