Back in June, I saw an ad to try a sample of Astraea products just by paying shipping. Knowing how companies scam people, and knowing that certain products have irritated my skin before, I was very careful to read the entire site as I didn't want to be hooked into something I didn't like.
There was NOTHING saying I would automatically receive the product.
I got my samples and after 3 days had irritation.
On July 11, I received an e-mail that my order was ready to ship in 3-5 business days for the amount of $94.95. I promptly replied that I did not want the order and never heard another thing until today - 22 days later - August 10.
I got a credit card alert for TWO charges on my credit card - one for $94.95 and one for $89.95 and have now begun the task of disputing the charges.
Sent for free sample for $4.95 & $1.99. Received an email at 2:44am thanking me for my purchase of $89 & $94 . Immediately called the company back during their business hours. Had to call 6 times because I was constantly hung up on. Company stated that they don't do refunds but did agree to pay half my money back. Ended up only getting $44.91 back. Also had to close out my debit card and get a new one because they were still trying to make charges on my account.
