On 8/27/2015 we purchased a RainSoft water softening system. On the installment credit agreement, the price was listed as $6450. Our account number was X401891481.

We received an initial bill with a closing date of 9/11 and a payment due date of 10/8/2015. We paid the "New Balance" of $6466.68 by check, not wanting to incur excessive interest, and the check was debited to our account on 9/29/2015.

We assumed the amount was paid in full, as this is the normal procedure for VISA, Mastercard, and other credit cards.

On 10/20/2015 we received a notice stating:

Previous Balance - $6466.68 Payments and Credits - $6466.68

Interest Charges $16.72 New Balance 16.72

When we called to ask about this problem, we were informed that the interest was what accrued from the statement date until payment was received. This, of course, is contrary to any other credit arrangement we have ever encountered.

As we were speaking, and reluctantly agreed to pay, we were informed that AS WE WERE SPEAKING, additional interest had accrued, and the new balance was now $16.77. This was paid by phone via CREDIT CARD immediately.

The confirmation number for this was #88140.

This appears to be the worst kind of deceptive and predatory practice. I will be writing to the Attorney General here in Kansas, giving full details, and copying Rainsoft, in case they are not aware of what their associated finance companies are doing.

If I can find other Internet sites, I will be giving both Connexus and Aquasoft the worst possible review, and warning unsuspecting customers to stay far, far away.

I'll begin by saying beware! I did not fully understand my loan, I knew my interest rate was high, it was explained because of my credit score. After paying 8 months of payments, my balance was $300.00 higher than I borrowed. I would have been better off paying with a credit card! My statements do not include things like, principle paid, interest paid, it doesn't include late charges paid etc. All things that every other loan or credit card statement always include.

I made payments over the phone using my bank account, they have the account information on file. The last payment, February, I made over the phone using my bank account. I made an additional $200 plus payment to go to principal. After making multiple payments over the phone using the same bank account and having no issues, somehow they left a number off of my account and that of course led to 10 more days of interest.

The only way to put and end to this is to not use this company. Simply put if any loan you are applying for has any connection to Aqua Finacne or Connexus Credit Union do not sign!!!

I've paid over $2000.00 and the principal hasn't lowered!!

We had a sales rep from Texas Quality Water Systems come to our home, and demonstrate their water filtration system. We purchased a water filter for our kitchen only. We were told, repeatedly, and after many questions, that the payments for the $3,000.00 system would be $30.00 per month. This was a lie. We were misled at best, and intentionally deceived at worst . After a few months, the bill increased dramatically. The interest charges are now $29.57 per month. At this rate, it will take 8 years and a total of $4,333.00 in payments for a filter that originally cost $3,000.00. This is an absolute rip-off. Warn your friends and family about these deceptive business practices, and tell them not to do any business with Aqua Finance, Connexus Credit Union, or anyone associated with them. Last year, we paid $294.94 in interest alone. Today, we paid off the balance of $2590.99. This unscrupulous company will not collect another penny from us.

I financed a water softner this year through Costco. Aqua Finance Inc FBO Connexus Credit Union financed the loan for the device. I pay my bills online. I have been having trouble trying to log on to their website to pay and their phone hours are not listed on the bill.

I called and left a detail message about the issues I was having and because I wanted to pay over the phone but their office was closed. I work M-F 12-14 hours a day and by the time I get off work it's too late to pay over the phone. When I was able to call, it was a few days after my due date and it was reported on my credit report. I spoke with Tiffany and the supervisor Tanya who both explained they "cannot" remove the reporting which I know is possible.

I believe they only reported this late payment on my credit report to be spiteful because of the message I left about their antiquated payment methods and thier shotty website which does not compete with other online payment services, even the most basic services.

When I called to discuss a reprepsentative picked up. I asked for the extention on my bill and she begins to explain that all I have to do it press option# 4 to enter an extension. Hello, when I called it did not give me the option to select anything except hold for a representative. I don't believe they know how their systems work.

I tried to enroll online several different times without success. It wasn't until I spoke with a rep. to pay my bill that the site started working. I don't think they want to admit they were having a problem with their site.

Never to business with Aqua Finance.

Do not under any circumstances borrow money or have any dealings with:

Aqua Finance Inc FBO Connexus Credit Union Birmingham, AL 35210-6928

They are one of those rip-off organizations. I financed a new LifeSource water system with them because that is what the LifeSource company used. 2 months in advance of a year I tried to contact them (regarding a payoff balance) twice by phone and once by email through their website.

Their automated phone system both times said they were too busy and someone would call me back. They didn't. The email also went unanswered until… I received the one year statement with a balance of $2744.67 and an interest charge of $714.97.

Then, they contacted me by phone to see what I wanted. You can figure out the rest of the story. Never use Aqua Finance Inc FBO Connexus Credit Union. rip-off!

I purchased a water filtration system in September 2014 from Elite Water Systems and the account was originally financed through Connexus. They either changed their name or the account was taken over by Aqua Finance. I have been faithfully paying $150 dollars a month since approximately the first of October on an initial balance of $7500 dollars.

Since the initial payment all of the money that I had paid was being applied to interest and non to the principle. I have paid enough to pay off this account, I still currently have a balance of $5343.51. This finance company clearly have unscrupulous practices and is in the business of ripping people off.

Very bad experience

Originally contacted by a representative in a Home Depot store as I was walking in to buy something else .and they contacted us a few weeks later. We definitely had issues with the installation such as we had to dig the hole and find the water line for the whole house water filter (part of it sets under ground). The Finance arrangement sounded ok even though it was very expensive, the starting balance was $8000.00 . Statement balance continues to go up even though over minimum payments are made on time. (I guess they have a secret Finance charge that they don't tell us about. )Their math does not add up even though I talked to a representative on the phone. The representative says my balance is this number , but 10 days later I get a bill and the balance is $50.00 higher. We have been seeing this for 2 years.
