Apollo A/C and Heating Reviews

  • Aug 13, 2015

Buyers BEWARE!! This outfit is completely unprofessional.

He overpromised and under delivered. The owner quoted a relatively high end system (including a 10yr Warranty) for well over $10K. It was a much more heavy duty and was to include additional air intake and some new ductwork.

What we get was a new (I am assuming, but not sure) outdoor compressor and a heat/AC air handler in the attic. He did not change out the plenum (interface between air handler and ductworks), let alone put new ductworks in. He also failed to expand the air intakes (which caused the system problem).

Immediately after installation we had water leaking issues (DUE TO POOR Installation).

For the 1st year or 2, we had at least 1 warranty service call per year, which was bad enough; but then the heating unit broke and there was a period of over 4 months were there were at least 9 service calls and the system wasn't functional correction for at least 60% of that period!!!

Unfortunately that is not the worst of it. When we switched to the AC system, it immediately didn't work. After yet another warranty service call, the AC was back up and running. However, a day later we were experiencing water leakage (since it was a Friday night, I had to try to fix it myself). The linen closet had major water damage and need replacement sheetrock. Long story short, the Apollo people had stepped on the plastic water pan and left multiple cracks in it!!!!! To make matter worse they had left the PVC water drainage pipe disconnect from the AC attic unit. In addition they had step on deduct work behind the unit and damage the insulation and flattened the duct.

The AC actual worked OK for a couple of weeks, then it broke down again ... yet another service call. At this point I wrote a letter to say that if they couldn't fix the problems for good, they needed to replace the system.

Not a peep in responds. Than like clockwork, the AC started have problems yet again. I called and left messages, even after promising to call back and send someone, they NEVER CAME.

The reason I questioned if the equipment was new in the beginning, was that during the many service calls, they mentioned stuff like the parts were out of stock or no long being made, etc.

Really, an AC system less than 4 year old, no longer has replacement parts!!! So I am guessing that instead of new update equipment (which is what he promised and the reason for justifying such a high system price), I believe we got older and/or refurbished equipment!!!!
