I have ordered from APMEX since 2011 and until now I have never had a problem. Some of my orders were large sums of money and I have spent 250k with them. I tell you that so that you know how much I trusted the company. I have even sold them product without any issues. But now, they just screwed me out of an $8200 order. I never got my order (27656249) – and nobody from the company spoke to me about the order. I am sickened at the thought of losing $8.200 dollars.

My order was sent by APMEX via USPS. I got an email while I was at work saying that my package was delivered and I had signed for it. Imagine my surprise… I thought it must be an error. When I got home that night there was no package, so next I downloaded the captured signature from the USPS tracking and of course it was not mine. It was evening so I immediately contacted APMEX via email.

I then went to the PO and spoke to the branch manager named in West allis, Wisconsin – her name was Melanie. I told her I did not sign for the package and it was worth a lot of money. She said the carrier signed for it.

Apmex made me fill out a police report even though I had no idea if a package was delivered or not. Then in an email they denied the claim. I NEVER RECEIVED MY PACKAGE. And in case you ask….I Paid with an electronic check. Never pay them in advance. Use a credit card because if they screwed me they will screw you. Nobody even spoke to me, all was done with email.

Our investigation in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, along with that of our insurer, has been completed and by all indications APMEX Order # 27656249 was delivered accurately according GPS data and carrier investigation confirmed delivery procedure was followed.

Please check with any other individuals at your multi-family home may have been on the property at the time to see if they accepted the package Size: 9" X 5" X 3".

For these reasons, we are notifying you that that your claim has been denied.

Since the loss of the package I made about 6k worth of orders from APMEX. I never lost any sleep over this because I just knew they would make it right. That is what insurance is for right?

Ordered $4992 in silver rounds and "junk" silver coins by e-check to be delivered to family member. APMEX withdrew the funds immediately. They then decided not to send the order, messaging me that they needed confirmation of the address to which I was sending the order.

I confirmed the address, then they wanted a copy of my drivers license, a selfie of me holding it next to my face, a recent bank statement, and proof of residency of the family member. I told them all they needed was my account number and routing number but they insisted on all this other private information. I replied that I preferred to cancel the order and take my business elsewhere. I cancelled the order online.

Three days later they still had not returned the funds. I called back and they said they had been too busy to act on the cancellation (they had not been too busy to take my money, of course). After not receiving a return of the money they had taken I called again. They then said they were going to keep my money for two months before refunding it. I still have not received an explanation or my money back.

Please do your own due diligence in researching this company before buying anything from them or trusting them with your hard earned dollars. In going back to see what others have said about this company on other consumer sites, it is one of the most disreputable in the business.

Presumably the reason they offer discounted prices if you make your purchase by e-check is because it is easier for them to take your money quickly. Frankly, I believe the primary reason is that it is harder for you to get it back once you uncover their shady dealings.

I strongly advise all my colleagues with investments to consider other brokers. I believe precious metals are a good hedge against inflation. Unfortunately, I trusted an untrustworthy and unreliable broker.

We ordered 1 oz gold bar from APMEX. They sent an empty box with nothing inside. We were told that they will investigate and after we file police report since it was $2,000. We did everything and after weeks we got an email with a bad video saying that they sent it out and that they are denying the claim.

The video was out of focus and it proved nothing. Customer service was rude and so was claims department. APMEX is a a scam and fraud and must be avoided and investigated. If you are a victim pls contact us and we can start a class action lawsuit against APMEX.

Bought expensive silver 9000$ from company. They were supposed to ship to be signed for witch they had done in previous orders. It states all over website shipped signed. Well we did not receive package. Called them had to file a police report. They come back with denied as it showed delivered at said address only we never signed for it received anything. They said basically to bad so sad showed delivered and with covid they didn’t need signature.

Wth it can be stolen even with covid do why would you send something at that high of value without a signature for everyone’s protection? Well they didn’t so we’re out 9000$. I have filed with my cc company but I’m sure APMEX has disputed saying it was delivered to address therefore releasing all of their responsibilities. If they had told me no signature I would of never ordered as is not safe to do so. But since it was stated more then once signature required and I’ve had to sign on all previous orders I had no problem buying from them.

On readings complaints against company on consumer sites I saw they have done this with more then one person. In fact a bulk of the complaints are the never received what they had bought. I’m requesting refund and shut them down. If nothing else change their website to reflect the changes they arbitrarily change and make sure all packages over 599$ MUST be signed for. The locked out account also bc we filed with cc company.

Not that I would buy from them ever again but they act like I am wrong. I didn’t file with cc untill they dr he’s me my refund. Please please do not allow them to continue with their deceitful practices and ripping people off!

I received an email asking to call them back regarding my order. I confirmed proper name, shipping address, all of which matched the information on the credit card. Representative Joel was extremely incompetent and was intimidated by the fact that we wanted the item shipped to our business. This is completely NORMAL as we wanted someone to be there to sign for the items. He Googled the business information and was given the option to call the business to verify the name of the owner/officers etc, however, he was overwhelmed and lied that he had to wait for his "manager" to call?

I demanded to speak with her and he said she wasn't available, however, that was a lie too since she was there a minute ago. I would highly think twice before dealing with this company. There are many reputtable gold dealers out there and this is not one of them.
