In Dec of 2016 we contacted the market place and Anthem blue cross/blue shield that we did not want their coverage for 2017 because we where going to start receiving medicare. The Market place sent us a bill for Jan. of 2017 but after explaning our situation the Market place informed us that they would cancel the bill. Now we received a bill from Anthem stating we owe $3416.16 for coverage in 2017.

Have the WORST experience today dealing with your insurance. My company doesn't have enough employees in Texas for me to qualify for an HMO Plan, so I'm stuck on your PPO. I went to the dentist yesterday who attempted 4 extractions and failed at number 3 leaving a VERY painful half tooth left in my mouth, I filled a tramadol / t3 script yesterday, which DID NOTHING for level of pain I was in. I went to oral surgeon today, to do 3 more extractions and complete the half tooth. I have had 7 extractions in 2 days, and I'm standing in Walgreen BLEEDING and in terrible pain to be told, you WON'T Process my medication because it's two close to another short acting opioid RX. WHO AND THE HECK ARE YOU to have a computer decide what I need to treat my pain. That's what I pay doctors for. YOUR POLICIES ARE AWFUL. As soon as I can switch off your policy I will, it has been a nightmare of issues.

Anthem Bluecross Blueshield is health insurance provider for the last 11 years for myself and family, we recently had a new baby on Jan. 7th 2016, he went to doctors visits they said he had no insurance so I called Anthem Bluecross regarding the issue. They told me he would not have insurance until 2017 because we didn't call to let them know. I was under the impression since I have been paying for family plan at $798.00 per month and that they have been covering my wife during the pregnancy they would auto cover my son. No one ever told me that I would have to call to add him to the plan., so I have to have health insurance for my son. I asked the broker if i could start individual plan for him they denied

Reason unknown first premium wasn't paid, Anthem CS refused to renew healthcare. I, my mother and Covered California rep were on the phone after many calls of statements Blue Cross Anthem could not renew though a letter was sent they would be happy to help me. Covered California said Anthem is the only one can renew. Anthem said this was untrue. My mother says where is the late bill, 2nd month bill or letter from Covered California of no coverage renewed with paperwork printed? A letter comes mid Feb dated Feb 9 2016 the policy cancelled to call to renew with premium. I called was told the policy cancelled on Feb 10 2016. I then am told by another rep the policy cancelled on Jan 1 2016 effective date. Last supervisors Andrew and Jessica were very mean. Finally Jessica said she would submit for renew, call me Feb 25 2016. She didn't. No note mentioned. I called Feb 26 2016 escalation team would send her a message. She would call that day, She didn't.

We are a small business known as Miami Valley Homecare. We called and had acquired a pre approval to provide home health care for one of Anthems clients. We are now in our Eighth Month trying to collect a claim that started in March 2015. We hace spent an average of 15 hours each week since March trying to file these claims and get a different reason every time we call as to why they cannot be paid. If you are shopping for health insurance please avoid this company as they DO NOT PAY the providers in a fair and timely manner. We re being forced to file suit against them to get our payment. We were ripped off by them for $7,800. Dont let your providers be their next victims.
